Lyn begins to miss Mark egging her on during the mid-game timeskip. It's just not the same without him. This specific one was their reunion. Nothing in a 1-mile radius survived their combined Kay-Rah-Tay.
I think the Alm/Celica clip shows exactly why I didn't like their relationship dynamic. To me, it felt like the Dimitri and Edelgard history was a great subversion of Alm and Celica.

My problem with Alm/Celica is that their relationship felt too forced. They knew each other for maybe a few weeks at best as kids, but somehow are still in love a decade later. They both only think about each other when separated despite being maybe 8 when they knew each other. And yet they're somehow in love despite being apart since then. It was a childhood crush yet the game makes it more. It feels like they're only a couple cuz story mandated such. Not because they organically grew into such. I thought their fight and "break-up" felt realistic in chapter 3 cuz they're different people who want different things. But they are written to always just love each other and do everything with each other in mind. It's very strangled by the red string, as TV tropes would call it. Forced relationship by the plot and not grown organically. Just in my opinion
