I feel I must make some comments simply because of the eloquent style of this vlog. I have never found myself so empathic as a football fan as you made me today. All the "smaller, unfashionable, non London, non Manchester, non Liverpool etc" fans go through this anguish not able to express their despair. Well you should be proud of what you have done representing all those clubs currently suffering the same fate. I would like to think it was viewing your vlog that helped last nights result. As previously said you are a credit to Blackpool, Blackpool FC and Blackpool supporters, and if anyone needs proof look at his vlogs and watch the respect from all generations of supporters including opposition supporters. Totally agree with your comments Lee. It’s awful watching Pool at the moment. Defensively inept, not just blaming the defence, the midfield don’t give our defence any help. As I said previously, I think half out injuries are because of the ultra defensive style we play, and we are backing off, and last minute tackles and overstretching. Yes we know where we should have invested, a strong commanding midfielder, and a free scoring forward instead of kids learning their trade here. It is a shambles but will still be there tomorrow. You could be well be right about the injuries. We all know a team that is breezing teams away week in week playing attacking football doesn't get many injuries and the same team trot out week after week. Defending for 90 minutes with the odd foray forward must be demanding physically and mentally

Absolutely everything you said is spot on. How can you play so differently in 2 games 3 days apart? Blackpool under Grayson circa 2009 struggled to stay in the Championship. 1 year on Holloway got 8 of that same group into the Premier League. So what was the difference? Desire, belief and hard work which resulted in a growing confidence and a phrase that has been used before "a never say die attitude!" 🍊

personally I don't think it is great to single anyone out as you never know what is going on with their mental state of mind but as a team felt that they were all deserving of a collective criticism it simple wasn't good enough to win the game or even have a chance of winning, you have to be quicker, smarter, use the ball, move into space and put the opposition under pressure we did none of that

I really feel for you guys at the moment. Last week we (West Brom) faced the other two bottom clubs in Wigan and Huddersfield and were lucky to come out of that with two 1-0 wins!! Both teams defended for their lives!! Really hope it improves for you!!
@@imemine6494 He’s not doing too badly at the Albion at the moment. I’ve noticed the boss, Carlos Corberan does a rotation system with the midfield and is currently swapping between Jayson and Nathaniel Chalobah as starters. That’s almost a guaranteed sub during games.

Strange how things can turn upside down in football. Who knows after last night? that was what we all know Blackpool are capable of but it is only a start there are 9 more cup finals to come
Unfortunately, I have to agree with you Lee. Blackpool already look like a side that are resigned to playing League 1 football next season. The injuries have been nothing short of catastrophic and you combine that with all the off the field issues and they just don’t have any chance of staying in the Championship this season. They have virtually no midfield and now they look they can play for hours without scoring. The season has simply been a nightmare and someone has to be held accountable. At this point I’m not really sure if things will improve next season either because there’s going to be a huge clear out of players. Not to mention finding a new management team as well. I hope Blackpool prove me wrong and go on to win a few more games this season, but i simply can’t see it. I appreciate your passion for the club Lee and your rant is just what all Pool fans are thinking at this moment.
Amazing Lee. This has to be the best football fan rant ever. You collectively covered all things wrong with the team,the club and it's current mentality before the QPR game. If we can go on a run from this and stay up in the championship then Lee Charles my friend this video will be embedded in Blackpool fan folk lore and legend forever. I mean look back now after the massive 6-1 result we got on Tuesday night this video has already shown its value. I have to say the team the style of play and the passion we saw on Tuesday was not the same shite we've been treated to for the majority of the season. We was poor last season and the stats back it up to many shots on target against and not enough shots on target. The game just gone we had two shots on target same fixture last season 1 shot on target and a 1-1 draw. Discipline of players should be a must apparently leaving the ground because they was not in the match day squad. Conclusion poor last season with some results going our way and this we have been found out.

Ive said it all along it isn't a case of we are doing this so we have no money for that. It all had to be done, the ground has to be completed but the #football also has to come FIRST. They knew the ground needed doing when they took over, they knew the training ground was a problem and needed sorting but they also had to look after the team and keep it competitive to progress. And if you don't look after the football everything else suffers

I don't agree with the Povada comment. He may be talented ,but he is not a team player and I would rather use players that want to play for Blackpool then those who collect a wage and go back to their clubs once the loan spell has finished. You say that the players have given up and don't seem to care, but you play Povada and he certainly won't care. Some of these players are playing for their futures ,they may not look like it ,but they must care and I envisaged an improvement in our next game which is easy because we just scored 6.
I have only just got one thing to say . PLEASE bring Ian Holaway back , 2009/2010 season was the best , and magic . And also have the other Ian Evatt on standby as manager . If we could guarantee the same success with Holloway definitely but so far bringing back ex managers has been a disaster. We need to poach a manager that is riding on a crest of a wave for a change not hire someone 'out of work' IMHO
Very sad to see Blackpool tumble like this. L1 is rubbish and there’s no reason why Blackpool can’t be a mid table Championship side. Why on earth was Mick M given the job? Someone said ‘every game is an FA Cup Final now’. How true! Relegation is bad news for the town, as well.
I think the club were thinking they needed experience but the problem has been down to the lack of investment in the team in the summer and Critch leaving the way he did. The problem is the players appear to have given up and if they can't shake themselves out of it than we are down

@@LeeCharlesTV It is a good point Lee and i can see the logic, desperate times needs desperate measures but over the years Mick has always been a strict disciplinarian and not the type of manager to think in this way. The season is far from lost keep up the good work and remember all it takes is to put a run together and a bit of luck, there are enough teams out of form to give us a chance.
Completely agree, to be fair to Mick he hasn’t had the people on the bench to call on due to injuries and even discipline. We have a team of players in the most part who are out of position.
Neither manager has been dealt the best hand with injuries and suspensions etc. but you still have to see some fight when you are fighting for your lives and did you see any on Saturday? anything? a glimmer of a fight? I didn't it was absolutely spineless that is not what Blackpool FC are all about. We are the little guys, that punch above our weight week in and week out on the pitch, we cheer them on louder than anywhere else so that they fight harder than anyone else to be where we are but there was none of that and they have destroyed our away support this season too
Calm down. First World problems. In an age where people are struggling in their day to day lives to put food on the table and you're going out of your mind cos your team is underperforming. Football goes in cycles as we all know. Yes we are in a trough at the moment due to bad decisions at the top and insufficient investment in playing staff. I care as much as you (been supporting since 1980/81) and for most of that time we have been in the bottom two divisions. I agree if we go down, go down fighting, but as I get older have learnt to accept things for what they are. I can see you are more passionate than most, but there really is more to life than having to watch your team play in League One. Yes, it's always 2 steps forward 1 step back with Blackpool F.C. but apart from winning a Euromillions jackpot, I cannot affect the situation, so we just have to leave it to individuals that can. The club is still recovering from the mentally draining years of poor, selfish ownership, so we just have to let the whole scenario play itself out, and hope, as always, that better times are ahead.
I get what you are saying mark but I can't stop feeling how I feel I can't stop being passionate and caring about something just because people are suffering in the world it is just the way I am and seeing as this channel is all about our passion for Blackpool FC and we make videos all about it, and we talk about it all the time it is what I do 😉

For most it was simply a relief from Appleton and it was getting toxic and had to be changed even just for his mental health. Mick had the experience of Championship football and saving clubs from relegation he was worth a shot but so far it has been an unmitigated disaster

personally I don't think it is great to single anyone out as you never know what is going on with their mental state of mind but as a team felt that they were all deserving of a collective criticism it simple wasn't good enough to win the game or even have a chance of winning, you have to be quicker, smarter, use the ball, move into space and put the opposition under pressure we did none of that

Strange how things can turn upside down in football. Who knows after last night? that was what we all know Blackpool are capable of but it is only a start there are 9 more cup finals to come
Unfortunately, I have to agree with you Lee. Blackpool already look like a side that are resigned to playing League 1 football next season. The injuries have been nothing short of catastrophic and you combine that with all the off the field issues and they just don’t have any chance of staying in the Championship this season. They have virtually no midfield and now they look they can play for hours without scoring. The season has simply been a nightmare and someone has to be held accountable. At this point I’m not really sure if things will improve next season either because there’s going to be a huge clear out of players. Not to mention finding a new management team as well. I hope Blackpool prove me wrong and go on to win a few more games this season, but i simply can’t see it.

We was poor last season and the stats back it up to many shots on target against and not enough shots on target. The game just gone we had two shots on target same fixture last season 1 shot on target and a 1-1 draw. Discipline of players should be a must apparently leaving the ground because they was not in the match day squad. Conclusion poor last season with some results going our way and this we have been found out.

Ive said it all along it isn't a case of we are doing this so we have no money for that. It all had to be done, the ground has to be completed but the #football also has to come FIRST. They knew the ground needed doing when they took over, they knew the training ground was a problem and needed sorting but they also had to look after the team and keep it competitive to progress. And if you don't look after the football everything else suffers

I don't agree with the Povada comment. He may be talented ,but he is not a team player and I would rather use players that want to play for Blackpool then those who collect a wage and go back to their clubs once the loan spell has finished. You say that the players have given up and don't seem to care, but you play Povada and he certainly won't care. Some of these players are playing for their futures ,they may not look like it ,but they must care and I envisaged an improvement in our next game which is easy because we just scored 6.

I think the club were thinking they needed experience but the problem has been down to the lack of investment in the team in the summer and Critch leaving the way he did. The problem is the players appear to have given up and if they can't shake themselves out of it than we are down

Completely agree, to be fair to Mick he hasn’t had the people on the bench to call on due to injuries and even discipline. We have a team of players in the most part who are out of position.
Neither manager has been dealt the best hand with injuries and suspensions etc. but you still have to see some fight when you are fighting for your lives and did you see any on Saturday? anything? a glimmer of a fight? I didn't it was absolutely spineless that is not what Blackpool FC are all about. We are the little guys, that punch above our weight week in and week out on the pitch, we cheer them on louder than anywhere else so that they fight harder than anyone else to be where we are but there was none of that and they have destroyed our away support this season too
Calm down. First World problems. In an age where people are struggling in their day to day lives to put food on the table and you're going out of your mind cos your team is underperforming. Football goes in cycles as we all know. Yes we are in a trough at the moment due to bad decisions at the top and insufficient investment in playing staff. I care as much as you (been supporting since 1980/81) and for most of that time we have been in the bottom two divisions. I agree if we go down, go down fighting, but as I get older have learnt to accept things for what they are. I can see you are more passionate than most, but there really is more to life than having to watch your team play in League One. Yes, it's always 2 steps forward 1 step back with Blackpool F.C. but apart from winning a Euromillions jackpot, I cannot affect the situation, so we just have to leave it to individuals that can. The club is still recovering from the mentally draining years of poor, selfish ownership, so we just have to let the whole scenario play itself out, and hope, as always, that better times are ahead.
I get what you are saying mark but I can't stop feeling how I feel I can't stop being passionate and caring about something just because people are suffering in the world it is just the way I am and seeing as this channel is all about our passion for Blackpool FC and we make videos all about it, and we talk about it all the time it is what I do 😉

For most it was simply a relief from Appleton and it was getting toxic and had to be changed even just for his mental health. Mick had the experience of Championship football and saving clubs from relegation he was worth a shot but so far it has been an unmitigated disaster
