  • At the funeral rites of Madam Agbotui, mother of President J.J. Rawlings.
Otumfoɔ, the Asantehene sent a high-powered delegation led by Nana Apau Wiafe Sanwoansan, Hemanhene. He serves Asantehene in the Benkum (Left) Military/Administration Wing. He is Otumfoɔ Kumase Brempɔn.
At the funeral, he is accorded all the protocols and deference that accrue to Otumfoɔ, because as we say in Twi language, "Ɔsantihene aworɔ ne mpaboa ama no nnɛ." He is customarily wearing Asantehene's sandals at the funeral today.
He remains in that protocol until he returns to Manhyia, and brief Otumfoɔ Osɛi Tutu II (through the Akyeame) about everything that happened on the trip. And then he will be debriefed. His diplomatic service then ends.
Asante is a Nation. Our intelligent Ancestors constructed a Nation of Laws; Norms; Customs and Traditions, and bequeathed that to us. Asante is Ɔman.
That explains why we don't like any nonsense, period.
Sanwoansan Ababio, Santeman da wo ase. Mo aburu. Apau ne Brefo Nana. Ɛkoɔna dehypɔn.
