Yeah I said the intro wrong in hindsight, but the questions were still more or less “yes or no” questions

They were binary questions though, I think they could all be converted to yes or no questions.

@@ZakadingNo it would still be one question. If you ask, “standard or wild?” and are given an answer, you only need one question, and if you ask, “Is it standard?” And you are given an answer yes, you know it is standard. Or if you are given an answer no, you know it is wild.
As previously said, not how binary questions work. Rarran even stops Zeddy from asking a non binary question.
Only non binary question that would be bad is "is it carx X or card Y" since if it was X and they wpuld of asked Y first, then they saved a question

I think Rarran forgot weapons, heroes, quests, and locations exist given he thinks 'is it a minion or a spell' is a yes or no question

Well, it IS yes or no...this is why you don't ask compound questions, because the answer to "Is it a minion or a spell?" is "Yes."
It is still a yes/no question. If a card is a minion or a spell, the answer is yes. If it is a hero, quest or location, the answer is no.
Rarran staring at 3 mana minions trying to find an even minion gave me brain damage.

Also, I feel like, if you know it's a class card, a good followup to "does it have keywords" is "is it a class-specific keyword"
This is a fun update to the whole "Do you know hearthstone format" Great video
It's pretty easy to translate to just Yes or No questions.
For example:
Asking 'Standard or Wild?' could either be asked as 'Is it a Standard Card?' or 'Is it a Wild Card?'
Similarly, 'Before or after Demon Hunter?' could either be asked as 'Is it before Demon Hunter?' or 'Is it after Demon Hunter?'
I don't think it is breaking the rules to ask questions that only have two options as that is functionally the same as Yes/No questions.
This is a fun series. Yeah the questions were weird: but a lot are fine to ask. Like, "is it 6 or higher" is still a yes or no question. Same with "Is it a minion or a spell". That HAS a yes/no answer.

"Yes."
Minion/spell is a problem if they picked a weapon or location tho

This was a ton of fun! I can think of so many interesting questions that could drastically reduce the pool once expansion, class and minion/spell are locked down. "Does it depict a playable race in World of Warcraft?" comes to mind as a possibility.

Oooh I like this as an alternate Do You Know Hearthstone type quiz. I have one suggestion that may or may not be too restrictive: only one question of a 'type' e.g. only one question for mana brackets, 1 for expansion, 1 for class (can still ask after neutral/class), etc, just to force some unique questions like 'textless' or 'does it do damage' instead of being a speedrun to narrow down mana cost/class/expansion and then seeing the stupidest card available.
I thought Zeddy was gonna get serious and pop off on the 3rd round. But by the time the point was awarded, I half-expected him to start asking about the shaman's star sign with how many questions were asked lol

I loved seeing Zeddy in this, and the premise is great. One of my favorite videos in a while
i think what this game might need is like. have the person with the card give a few little details or hints to start just to give the guessing player a little direction. could result in some fun mindgames too. but i really like this i think it's a great format

Since you can look the library you don’t have to pick un obscure card … it’s just a matter of asking the right questions . Without looking , some of the cards would be impossible though

So a quick thing on the OR questions cause i saw you guys talk about it. Technically an Or question is still yes or no. Basically the way it logically breaks down is if i ask an OR question and the answer is yes any one of those things listed in the question is true. In the case of the final question where he asks "is it X or Y card." If the answer to that question is Yes then he still has to ask another question but its 50/50.
Theres a type of question that can make things easier, lets say theres a subset of 10, you can ask whether if the card is between 3-6 or the other two extremes

Everyone bringing up the immediate "starts using non yes or no questions" aren't realizing that asking "Is it a minion or a spell" gets the same result as asking "Is it a minion" or "is it a spell" separately. If Zeddy picks a minion and Rarran asks if it is a spell, the answer would be no. This would mean it is a minion. It's a binary question with an implicit "yes or no" outcome. Same goes for "wild or standard" or "was it before or after x expansion". (Admittedly I forgot about locations/hero cards/weapons yanno as I think about it the minion/spell one really isn't a binary one huh, but the other points still stand honestly)
Is it a minion or a spell can still be answered yes/no, cause if the card is a weapon for example, the answer is no, they just pepegad a bit

Love the game. I suggest you try bending it to be like "Guess that Pokemon!" where you show a shadow outline of a minion's art and then do the "Guess Who" game. Trump would be a good guest with his long running knowledge
"Standard or Wild" is such a trash first question, but you just kept going for it because it is just feels natural 😂
I would have gone with one of those event cards like old ETC or that guy who summons a awesome invention.
best way to screw someone up is to pick a location. Not technically a spell, minion or weapon.
you can add "|" between keywords on the search bar to narrow it even further. For instance Legendary | Spell

I would love to see more. My thoughts though would to maybe stick to hard yes or no questions though. The point of this is asking the right questions and there is too much room for invalidating a round when you use binary question outside the yes or no.
My other thought is if it would be fun to have the card hidden from the CZcams crowd until the answer was given. I have no idea if it would be more exciting to follow how close/far off someone is or if you left in the dark along with the guesser

i realised the most difficult guesses would be core sets at specific years, year of the hydra had the explorers and lets say you choosen elise, you can say yes if they ask league of explorers or core set
Very fun, but I think the game would be better if it wasn't easy to reliably guess by doing binary search over the classes and mana cost. It's more interesting when the card is guessed based on something other than the obvious numeric values.
A good card to choose would be Worthless imp the 1/1 token you get from Sense Demons if you don’t have 2 demons in your deck to draw.

Suggestion: for a better viewing experience, craft each card golden while it’s on the screen. You can always disenchant after ;)
