- Hello, we are introducing the AE plugin ‘Gaussian Splatting’.
After creating photos or videos taken at various angles into a Ply file using an external app,
It can be imported from AE through a Gaussian Splatting plugin.
Gaussian Splatting has the advantage of being very fast because it is not in the form of a 3D mesh.
For example, it is suitable for turning a product or filming large terrain with a drone and animating it in 3D. I hope this helps you with your work 😊!

Gaussian Splatting을 처음 봤을떄 메쉬로 만들어주는게 아니라 3D에서는 별로 쓸일없겠다 싶었는데... 생각해보니 에펙에서는 정말 혁신적이겠다는 생각을 이 영상 보고 하게 됐네요
이 방식이 gpu 연산량이 꽤 높았던걸로 기억하는데 이제 에펙도 gpu가 필요한 시대가 왔나 싶기도 하구...

luma 홈페이지에 많은 예제들이 있던데, 본인이 직접 업로드해서 변환한 것 말고는 다운로드가 불가능한건가요?
내가 올려서 변환한건 영상처럼 다운로드 아이콘이 있는데
홈페이지에 튜토리얼에는 예제 링크를 걸어놓고 다운을 받으래서 링크 열어보면
다운로드하는 아이콘이 영상에서 처럼 안나와서 받을 수가 없더라고요.
파일을 어떻게 받냐는 물음에는 답변도 없고...

네 촬영 단계부터 꼼꼼하게 360도로 여러 각도에서 촬영해야 합니다 넓은 지역은 드론으로 촬영하면 좋은 결과물을 얻을 수 있습니다^^
can you add 3d object ? instead of capture and mp4?
hello~. In AE 2024, the 3D file glb is loaded by default.
The plugin itself does not support 3D files other than ply files.
Does splats only come in ply format? Or you can’t export it in different formats?

File formats that can be exported from the website include PLY, GLTF, USDZ, OBJ, and 360-degree images.
This tutorial looks great, but I can't import ply file to AE. Maybe you have extra plugin for ply files to AE or you know where could be the problem?
Hello, basically you cannot import ply files into AE. It can only be imported through the Gaussian Splatting plugin.
@@TutoView I used Gaussian Splatting plugin and did every step like you did but couldn't import that ply file. Maybe my Gaussian Splatting plugin version is different or something, but it looks the same
@@modestas3249 - The plugin consists of two files. Both of these files must be placed in the plugin folder.
- 1:49 Please refer to this part and download the Gaussian Splat file instead of ply.
If you installed the plugin correctly, it is most likely the second problem. I also made the same mistake the first time and ply did not load.
@@TutoView I found the problem. On windows it is a little different to import. Drag and drop doesn't work at all. After clicking import need to select to see "all files", when choose format "3D models" and when you can import that file. In this way it comes to AE as an extra composition, but you can just drag that ply file there you need. Its the only way I found that works for me. Thank you for your time! Can't wait for the new tutorials!
will this tutorial work with After effects 2020?
I'm not sure as I haven't tested it in 2020.
The versions supported on the plugin’s official site are 2022, 2023, and 2024.

In some cases it may take more than an hour. Enjoy a cup of coffee or play your favorite game while you wait. 😊
Also, during the filming stage, it is important to film slowly and meticulously.
If you shoot too quickly, the quality will not be good. (may need to reshoot)😭

네 사람도 가능합니다 360도 방향으로 여러 각도에서 촬영이 중요합니다. 흔들림을 방지하기 위해 짐벌로 촬영하면 좀더 편하게 촬영 할 수 있습니다. ^^
