Ah thanks brendan. Thos gates are from time when ireland had loads of landed gentry with massive estates. I think the manor was owned by the brune family.

I don't have a car license either but got motorcycle license at 50. But they're making me do two years of green Ps on top of a year of red Ps, like I'm a 23yr old. It's a blessing really, otherwise I'd be looking constantly at Triumph Thruxton RS 1200 or T120, or some big HD I've no right to be riding. This way I get to ride my Bullet for a couple more years at least.

@ 3.03 Yeap it does age great. I think it could benefit from some kind of leather wax from time to time but it really completes the looks great.
The bag and my leather jacket both could do with a bit of waxing. Think my friend Marty has some that I may borrow before the summer riding season 😁

@@BulletWandererLearning to drive is tricky, but your bike experience will be invaluable. When I was an ADI, the biggest challenge was getting learners to scan the road ahead to work out what to do. Scan, near, middle and far. You do that already, so it should be a piece of p.... cake! As ever, mirrors, mirrors and obs obs (obervations).
There are loads of ADI that put out stuff on youtube that can be very useful for learning out of the car.

Saddle soap or beeswax for your leather bag, will help it last for years, you have to watch out for mould/fungus too and these products will help :) "Step it out "is also V pop here in Scotland :) And we followed you up to Carlow :)

They changed the Carlow photo point because the location of the original, the Ploughing Championship monument was causing some bother to locals. So they made the arch the new point.

There are Circle Ks in Ireland?? I live in Arizona, U.S. We are one of only two states that I now of that have Circle Ks. That's where I usually get my gas and coffee. About one more month and it will be time to put my 2013 Bullet away for the long hot summer.
Lots of them! To my knowledge only since 2017 I can remember them, but they could've been here before then 😅 Put away the Bullet for the summer? That's some of the best Bullet times though? 😨
@@BulletWanderer Unfortunately temperatures here reach 110-112 degrees F (44-45 degrees C) and I just can't ride in heat like that. I used to do it back when I was younger, but it was miserable. Now it's downright dangerous. I didn't realize there were so many Circle Ks. Just checked Wikipedia. Circle K has 9,799 stores in North America, 2,697 stores in Europe, and an additional 2,380 stores operating under franchise agreements worldwide. I have been to most of the U.S. states, and have only seen them in two, far more in my state than anywhere else.
