I looove crochet braids, but let's get back to basics with a natural, traditional sew-in weave. I don't do them often, so installing this hair was the perfect opportunity to show you guys a tutorial of how I do a sew in weave on my natural hair using kinky curly extensions. I wasn't feeling well throughout the first half of the video, but at least you get to see the REAL - I was totally out of it and wasn't even paying attention to the camera. I was just trying to get this hair in! #filmingproblems
Okay... so! A few things you should know:
I am not a professional hairstylist...........................yet
I didn't cut the wefts unless necessary for the hair to lay flat
✔️I used the foldover method with the wefts in the back of my hair
I didn't wash the hair beforehand, b/c I'm using a trusted BSS brand
✔️I need to re-dye my hair, so it can be an exact match #itwasstillcutethough
✔️Maintain this hair! Twist it up at night, do a pineapple, whatever is necessary. I used conditioner and water to detangle & define the curls every few days to keep the curls poppinnnn'
✔️I wore this hair for about 2 weeks.

This is a work of art. The dexterity needed to do this on your own head is astounding. Did I mention that she's stunning, too?
I'm a man that truly want to learn how to do this. I pay a lot of money to get my daughter hair done and I am trying to save some money. The first day I did it her hair fell off while getting on the bus I guess the plats did not hold the hair but I am determine to learn this, this makes the tenth I have watched this video.
My dad did my hair as a child. He was better at doing two strand twists rather than braids. As I got older he would take me to get my hair braided.

I think the final looks are always great! It's when we actually wear our hair out and about and the leave-out starts to get dry when it starts to look bad. I wish some youtubers would do an "At the end of the day" look at the end of their videos so we can see realistically how good the hair, products and methods are.

if you flat twist your natural hair overnight you can save a lot of time getting ready and you won't have to wet the entire hair. The flat twist will set overnight then it will match the curls 100% with less work. Love the curl pattern and the whole video!

I really just appreciate the fact that you can see the difference in the two textures through the entire video, and somehow, her hair still manages to blend in the end. Really just shows you can use this method on any textured hair. I love it

Do you prefer a sew in with a net or without?
Sew in with nets give it a flat finish and puts less tension on your real hair, as the hair is sewn to the net
Still haven't found any kinky curly hair weave videos where it looks totally natural like undetectable, but I feel the same way about all weave so idk
