I'm not sure but I do not think you can import a pdf into Base directly. A pdf is a graphical format. However, working with Libreoffice, you can import a pdf in Calc. and convert it into a calc format ods. once in Calc you can transfer data into Base

Can you import data from a pdf to libre ? I need to highlight info from pdf and sort it in to a calc file in libre office ?

MAC - Tools > Options is Libreoffice > Preferences and F4 key cannot be used
