I invite you to take a walk with me around the Turkish resort city of Belek.
🗺️ Belek is a city in Turkey on the southern coast of the Mediterranean Sea. It is known for its beaches, thermal springs and golf courses.
It is located 30 km from Antalya Airport.
🏛️ Belek has a very short and sparse history of events. Back in the late 70s, almost no one lived here, and there were only eucalyptus and pine groves around. This explains why there are no historical sites in the city. In 1984, it was decided to build a luxury resort on this site with all modern infrastructure. The first hotels, restaurants, shops, nightclubs and everything else that is necessary for a good beach holiday appeared.
The development of Belek received a new impetus with the opening of the National Golf Club in 1994. This has significantly increased the number of tourists, and respectable ones at that, since this sport is one of the most expensive in the world.
