    I’m not sure you are aware that New Zealand 🇳🇿 Generation X was raised on the perfect blend of 50/50 American 🇺🇸 & UK 🇬🇧 Television 📺 we had Sesame Street & The Muppets with classic shows like The Dukes of Hazard and CHiPS and Get Smart and Hogans Heros, Knight Rider, MacGyver, and UK 🇬🇧 TV like HR Puff n Stuff, Rainbow, The Bill, Coronation Street, Grange Hill, and of course some New Zealand programs like Ollie Olsen, Under the Mountain, and Terry Teo & the Gunrunners, Top Town, Radio with Pictures, it’s in the bag with Selwyn Toogood

    We certainly pay far too much for organics, the easiest resolve is to have your own garden. My Grandparents were 100% organic, big vege garden, heaps of berry bushes and all before the advent of so many chemicals. Using other natural plants as pesticides, companion planting, all that great stuff, even down to home made wine and essential oils.

    What's wrong with GMO's? Serious question. You eat hybridised food. GMO's are just a different (and far more predicatble and wide ranging) way of hybridising.

    • @WarrenVanWyck15
      @WarrenVanWyck15 Před rokem

      I agree. "GMO" has just become a buzzword that certain groups of people have linked with other "bad" things. We have been selectively breeding fruits and vegetables for hundreds or even thousands of years. Yet eating anything that isn't natural is bad? GMOs have been widely accepted to be just as safe, require fewer pesticides, and have better crop yields, among other benefits.

    • @SamYoungnz
      @SamYoungnz Před rokem +1

      @@iatsd Selective breeding of food is much slower, so when there are adverse effects on the population (whether that is stock feed or human), we have more time see potential correlation/causation, and so more time to selectively breed in an alternative direction. Genetic modification happens immediately, yet the change may not be seen in the population for twenty years. In my opinion, the speed of change is the key issue: immediate modification weighed against unintended effects which can only be seen in the long-term.
