One of the tightest bands ever. The most underrated band of the 90’s and I say that knowing how huge they were. Never got the true respect they deserved. Brilliant drummer, the De Leo brothers are magical and Scott was the cherry on the top
The songwriting and musicianship, coupled with Scott's voice, presence, fashion, and energy, are just next level. So good.

This band at its peak. Scotts voice at it's best. Rob is an amazing bass player, Dean's Tone, slide work, etc... awesome , Erik is the perfect drummer for this band. The whole band plays with much musicality. No need for second guitar, very rare after the power 3 piece w lead vocalist of the late 60's ,70's, super tight!

All the clips you see of Weiland performing live.. he never mailed in his performances. Even when you knew he was hurting. Great band. Great frontman.
What a fucking epic concert! Imagine being there!!! One of the best bands ever. The DeLeo brothers, Eric Kretz and Scott Weiland. Legends.
The next day following this show, Scott turned himself in to go to prison. On VH1 Storytellers, they all talked about this concert, and stated it’s probably their favorite of all the shows they played together over the years. They had a great day together, everyone getting along, their rehearsal was fantastic, the show was PHENOMENAL, they had dinner together, and as it was Scott’s last night of freedom, they all drank together. Then Scott went to prison the next day.😂
Crazy that he’s gone now. Even these many years later, when I watch any of their shows, his death is just surreal to me; and it seems like only yesterday, he was here killing it on stage. Left us way too soon, gone but never forgotten; critically underrated true rock icons of the 90’s, STP and Scott Weiland, live on in our memories and captured videos we get to watch on YT. But even still, it’s just not the same. And I mourn his death still. I hope in death he found the peace he could not find in life. RIP Scott Weiland, forever in our ❤️’s.

Check out their performance of tripping at the Rolling Rock festival, 2001. It’s stellar. And definitely a rival for best live performance of the track. And their best show of all time. Not just writing that cause I was there. 😂 Scott was otherworldly in that show. Another stratosphere. The entire band was just on, and straight 🔥. Check it out, if you like STP, you’ll love that show.

Lo extraño, mis eras favoritas fueron Core y Purple 🥰, era donde mejor se veía ya que no estaba tan dañado por las drogas como lo estuvo después en los 2000s 😢
Lo que siempre me causó curiosidad es porqué adelgazó tanto después del 97, sólo fue por las drogas o tuvo algún trastorno alimenticio? 😳
Cuando lo vi en Velvet Revolver estaba en la pasta de delgado, su rostro huesudo, me sorprendió mucho.
Creo que nunca más volvió a recuperar su peso. Ojalá que no haya tenido un TCA.

obviamente las drogas jugaron un papel en ello, pero también está que parece ser que Scott tuvo una epifanía sobre que todos sus ídolos del rock eran delgados y elegantes, así que sintió que él también debía ser así. de ahí su transformación tan drástica tras la salida del disco Tiny Music.

Scott looked on the verge of passing out at the end of "Unglued." They went balls to the wall on that one.
