His compositions synergistically aligns with how he edits a seen. That's so precise and accurate, god damn
Have you ever seen how he edits a seen? It's one of the greatest things I've ever seen. They just made a documentary about it with all never before seen footage. Best thing I've seen in years.
Fantastic video. You did a great job of breaking down the simplicity of Kubricks approach to framing.
Great analysis. I have a hard time describing why I love Kubrick's cinematography so much and this helped me find the words. A true craftsman.
Lots of people talk about 2001 or The Shining but I think Dr Strangelove is his underrated work that has a message which is relevant to this day.
@@paulgreengodI agree with you you can tell Kubrick was telling people that way is pathetic played and heartbreaking.
Truly amazing analysis. So well done!
Brief but extremely effective. Thank you.
Excellent video!
Great video, thank you.
Thank you for explaining
Great analysis.
Very good video. But how did you get Rod Serling to narrate? ;/
Film framing looks pretty interesting.
Nice video. Shot framing can sometimes be difficult to analyze.
Man I spent nights of depression to just know what framing is for and I'm still spend them
Kubrick did use Speilberg style oners at times. Look at the opening scene of eyes wide shut. No technique is off limits for him as there are no rules to good art only what best fits scene and desired feelings.
Actually the one point perspective that Kubrick used to use is a drawing technique
Anyone here saw Full Metal Jacket?
Just when he started to get views too he left
They didn’t leave, they just moved to a different channel where they also don’t upload.
But his movies' screenplay has so much lag and are boring too.
7:15 this is a really interesting point, the more 'insane' the character becomes the more 'aware' they become of the viewer. I always felt like his films placed the audience on the outside looking in, then the characters are on the inside looking out. When the character looks into the lens, the 4th wall isn't necessarily broken, instead a sort of bond is created where both myself and the character have become detached from our worlds and we are meeting in the middle.
