    Man, fantastic video! I don't think anyone else does the direct comparisons from the F3 to the RT. So helpful!

    I prefer the F3 over the RT Simply reason is the location of the gas tank. Not a big fan of having the mounted on top of the engine and the rider sitting on it. F3 tank is more like a standard motorcycle

    They look like fun - Hi Peter, thanks for your review; always interesting

    You should really show the rear options that can be put on if you take off the trunk…I have seen elsewhere that you can remove the trunk and replace it with covers, racks ect…

    I bought a 2024 Spyder RT Limited and had I been allowed to test drive it before purchasing I would have never bought it. I watched your video and I agree it is fun to ride and easy to drive. But I have already had it in for 2 warranty repairs and I have less than 2000 miles on it. It does not have a GPS, Satellite Radio, or even a compass - all things that I have on my Harley (two wheel). I assumed since it is advertised as a touring model it would have had all these things - I was wrong. I would have discovered this disappointment had I been allowed to test drive it. In my opinion, it is not a touring bike but rather a cruiser with extra luggage space - at best. I know you brag about the "apple car play" but let me explain something to you - I'm 67 years old and have been riding for over 45 years; I use a cell phone for calls, photographs and the occasional text. I don't download apps, play games, or anything else with the phone - it's a tool used when needed - an unfortunate necessity these days. Battery life on the phone (and it is an I-Phone) last about 1 day if I do not use it - if I do use it I might get 12 hours. This bike -from what the dealer is telling me - cannot have a power cord installed to operate a GPS that can be mounted on the handlebar. I'm sorry to say purchasing this CanAm was a huge mistake and it will be up for sale or traded in next year for a Harley Trike.

    I’ve had three. Love them. Won’t ride anything else.

      I've been thinking about it, would love to hear pros/cons from actual owner

      @@RobotDecoy2 either one is very safe and comfortable. Very easy to handle. Both have good power, braking and steering. The RTL sits higher and the F3 rides much lower. One of the cons is you will spend a lot of time answering questions. Net hire is great on gas and the RT has more storage. They are expensive to maintain and trick out as well. Oil change kit is around $130 for either one.

    I've been riding Spyders F3S ' for the past 3 yrs but thinking of getting the F3 Limited this time. Hope im not giving up too much of the sportiness of the F3S.

    Thank you for the comparison. Agree with one of the Tank comment, I’m paraplegic and it would be a pain in the butt to always get into the wheelchair, lift the Seat and fill up the Tank. Does anybody know a solution kit to get the filler onto the side or above like on the F3? The Footboards on the RT are in the way when I would transfer from Wheelchair to Trike. I also dislike the side bags as they are not easy to take off. They are also in the way for my wheelchair. Trying to be different is not always better!! Same for the braking, every Motorcycle has a handbrake. At least there is a kit out there! When will both Trikes get a silky smooth a DCT as on the Honda Gold Wing??? Don’t get me wrong, I like the looks of both bikes but a lot of Room for Improvements!!!

      I didn't think you COULD take off the sidebar on either of those models?

      I never thought about that. I'm a disabled vet and I'll have mobility issues in a bit which is why I've been looking at trikes

      To some it's very important. To others, it's just a difference. To be fair, that's something that I could have showed.

    What is the safety factor of each machine?

    • @PeterLoweOne
      @PeterLoweOne  Před měsícem

      I'm not sure what you're asking, I can do a video in the future talking about the many safety features, but in the meantime, the manufacturer's website has a full list of specs and features including the safety technology and how it works. I'd check there to see if it better answers your questions.

    Is there an update available to add Apple car-play to earlier models?

    • @PeterLoweOne
      @PeterLoweOne  Před měsícem +3

      Yes! If you have a Spyder that was supposed to be CarPlay compatible, it can be updated to work now. Check with your dealer if you don't have the information yet.

      The storage on the RT will accommodate up to 4 full size XL helmets! 2 in the rear, 1 the frunk and 1 in a side case. The other side case is slightly smaller.
      When riding solo, I usually reserve the frunk for my xl helmet, jacket and gloves.

      @@mikebailey5127 I get two modular full face helmets size medium in my top box , but I’ve heard from my friends that that two large won’t fit!

    Well if nothing else you will hit every pothole in the road.

      3 wheels can do that, but I'd ride these absolutely anywhere! They're amazing!

    • @stans2493
      @stans2493 Před měsícem

      I demoed one a few weeks ago and I was amazed at how well it absorbed the bumps. The ride is impressive but compared to two wheels it pitches you around more and you feel the inertia in corners. They're not for me but they have a market.
