Swifties in the crowd cried to Taylor’s lyrics, Jake cried at the swifties in the crowd crying, and I cried at Jake crying 😂 it’s a never ending cycle
There are certainly worse never-ending cycles! 😂
“Empathy is about finding echoes of another person within yourself” ❤
I’m crying reading this comment about us all crying
Never ending! 😭🫶🏼
The cycle never ends! Swifties love to cry
@@crystalkadletc1944 it’s cathartic 🫶🏼
Taylor has always been known to be generous with her crew! For the Eras Tour she gave EACH trucker a $100,000 bonus this year (so a total of 55 million total for all of her workers)
Came to the comments to literally say this. She also brought fistfuls of hundred dollar bills and handed them out like flyers to the staff at the football games she attended for Travis. She’s amazing
and that is definitely great. but truthfully it's not even a blip in her wealth. i wish she was more dedicated to actual philanthropy and not just bouts of generosity, at this point in her career. where are the NGOs? where are the workers funds? i wish she would spearhead those areas too
@@AllTheArtsyshe donates large sums to local philanthropies everywhere she goes on tour under a pseudonym. she does a lot, but she doesn’t flaunt it
@@AllTheArtsy she’s an artist not an activist. All of that stuff would take time away from what she loves, which is making music. She still gives more than most people with her level of wealth and has for most of her career.
She also insures all of her staff with full health insurance I believe?
"Nothing in 720p is going to make me cry" - famous last words.
Taylor does like a challenge!
Jake crying makes me cry every time! He gets it 💕

Same here!!! Don’t ever try to hold back Jake!!!

The fact Long Live is so powerful even 13 years laters, she has given a shout out to all team since she was starting out and I'm glad she keeps doing it today.
As a backstage worker this speech gets me every time. When you’re just a cog in the wheel of a big production you often feel like your work can go unnoticed. To have such a huge artist making such a heartfelt statement is amazing.
You know something I thought about all last year from the start of the ERAS tour. Everyone always talks about how much money she made every night, every city. I mean do the math between 60,000-72,000 seats she's completely sold out, and the cheap seats were over $100. Do the math, its staggering. BUT No one ever talks about how much she spent to make it happen. She had to sit with engineers and designers to map out what the stage would look like, the massive moving platform, what kind of lights and speakers would go where, the massive 3-sided screen at the back of the set and another large screen at the other end of the stadium so everyone can see no matter where they sit, plus of course the camera equipment. Then she had to get the stage built by iron and steel workers. The set pieces for each ERA designed and built. Think about how much that all costs, and she hadn't sold a ticket yet. I heard there were two sets of the main framework set pieces, because one city could be setting up and preparing the next concert, while another is breaking down and packing up the last. I heard there were 50 trucks needed to haul the two sets around. Then, there were Taylor's costumes of which there were multiple variations for all but the Rep set, plus the dancers and back-up singers all had several costume changes. And you know they were expensive. Then, I don't know how you go about booking the stadium for however many nights, but that can't be cheap. And pay for the local help at each venue, as she spoke about in this video. 3000+ people per city. She's paying her own people for months of rehearsals before the tour even starts, then of course the entire course of the tour. And you know she's not paying her artists' minimum wage. It must have been literally millions of dollars spent before the tickets went on sale. All in the hopes that people will want to buy a ticket to see her show. (Obviously the risk worked out and she's got the most successful tour of all time, but there was no guarantee it would happen when she was planning, designing and paying for all the stuff she needs to put on the show.) Lastly, her generosity knows no bounds. As someone stated in another comment, she tipped her 50 truck drivers a life changing amount of money at the end of the US leg of the tour. She also tipped the dancers, musicians and backup dancers enough to make it worth their while to put their lives on hold to come on the tour with her. and finally, she reportedly made an anonymous donation to a charity in each city. Some have come forward to thank Taylor, (it may have been anonymous, but it didn't take a genius to figure out where a sudden and massive donation came from if Taylor was playing in your city that night.) so we know some food pantries received a gift of $100,000 each night in each city where she performed. Not to say she didn't make a lot of money, but how many shows did it take to break even? The logistics and financials of putting on a tour like The ERAS Tour is mind boggling when you think about it. I may never look at a concert the same way again. :)
“The more you think about it, the rougher it gets”. This is Swiftdom
Remarkable young woman.
I heard New Years Day soon after my 33 year old son died.
The whole, don’t read the last page and the recognizable laugh hit hard. She writes songs that give meaning to many people in different situations.
Just now when she sang it…… I heard my son laughing.
I am so sorry for your loss. ❤️
So sorry for your loss 😢❤
She has a beyond incredible way with words. I just lost my brother, also 33, and songs like The Prophecy get me every single time, even if it isn't directed towards that sentiment for her.
@@noorkhan215 then you get it as I do.
Sorry for your loss. It changes your universe.
@@crystaldickson5405 thank you.
"please don't ever become a stranger whose laugh i could recognize anywhere" 😭😭😭 one of the best lyrics
It's so underappreciated and I love it with my whole heart.
My wife and I were at reputation tour in the pit for opening night. My wife cried. I cried. Everyone cried. Have a Swift day.
Awwww, Jake! Between the music and the fans, poor guy didn't stand a chance.
😂😂😂 a recipe for c spot activation -J
The specific lyric in long live where she says 'We will be remembered' alwayssss gives me goosebumps. She's recognising that the swifties are also a part of history and will go down in history with her. It's so sweet.
"Please don't ever become a stranger whose laugh I would recognize anywhere" is the line that just pierces my heart every time I hear it! It is so bittersweet.
I cry every time I hear long live and the part I cry to isn’t even on the this performance.
Yeah they have to, HAVE TO see the Eras version. I donated for Would've Could've Should've (and thank you!!), but since there were three of us, maybe you can swap me over to Eras Long Live!! That song, she wrote it at what, 21?? And the bridge is so prescient, so perfect. WE REMEMBER YOU TAYLOR.
When I hear someone say negative things about Taylor or her body of work I get so sad . I get sad that they won’t ever have an opportunity to appreciate Taylor. She is such a kind person with an unearthly amount of talent
Exactly. If the feelings she brings out in people at her concerts were the only thing she was known for, and not even all the other things like helping others and bringing positive effects to cities where she tours, and her authentic, positive take on the world, and encouraging people to be their best selves, that would be enough to justify her stardom. But, as we know, she does all those other things and more.
She has clever lyrics & a lot of dedication and business savvy but people take issue with the romanticism of the repeated bad relationship choices & playing house without being married. Surprise that's why it didn't work out! And people don't want that as a role model for their kids relationships.
@@orphanedhanyou I can’t imagine what it must be like to be beautiful and wealthy in this dating world. Living under the public microscope has to be rough! It’s not a poor little rich girl thing. Most of us don’t have her life so we (me) shouldn’t speculate
What a beautiful story of your mom taking you to a SOD concert!!!
Please know every tear is understood by the Swifties, that feeling of knowing everything is temporary but some memories are for ever and you have to love who you have right now and the idea of them not being there is so overwhelming!!
Hey guys. It takes a bigger man to cry and show emotion, rather than act tough like you dont have any feelings at all ❤
There's a reason why ppl call it 'The taylor effect' and i mean, it's moments like this she has with her fans....❤ this woman
The Eras Tour version of Long Live always chokes me up. She's playing guitar flanked by her band and they all look a bit emotional. They've played that song together for so long😢
She’s like the best CEO ever, she knows what’s going on behind the scenes and she’s so grateful to every single person that makes this entire experience possible for her fans, for her own team…she knows it became much bigger she could ever imagine and she wants to enjoy every minute with everyone
You have to listen to the whole Long Live song in the Era’s tour!
Agree, the last part of Long Live is the best part.
First you have to see it on the speak now tour so it can really hit you in the feels at eras. ❤
Or better yet, both!
Yes and New Years Day from Jimmy is one of my favorites!!!
When she performed it on Jimmy Fallons show, Jimmy's mother had just passed away. There's a lyric in the song NYDay that says, "you squeeze my hand 3 times in the back of the taxi", meaning I love you, and Jimmy shared with Taylor that his mom used to say I love you to him that way, by squeezing his hand 3 times. When she performed it on his show that night, she dedicated it to his late mother and it meant everything to Jimmy. It's things like that that make her so beloved by everyone who knows her. 💜
Jake - love your vulnerability! Evan - I can always tell that you definitely DO get emotional. And Alex, I love that you always validate your brother’s feelings. Love you three! 👏👏👏

I came to the comments to say the same thing! 🩵
My mom passed 1 yr ago today. She had this huge laugh that embarrassed me as a kid. I hated it! But what I’d give to hear it one more time. That line in New Year’s Day has changed for me so much! Perfectly beautiful
I think of my dad who passed away too. Almost 5 years gone by but I can still hear his laugh like he just left the room. ❤
@@Bea56601 ❤️❤️❤️
Long live always makes me feel so proud to be a Swifty 🫶🏼 and New Year’s Day just makes me wanna be in love
In New Year’s Day, she says “Midnights” and “Evermore”, which the two albums were released after this tour. ❤️
Well fkn thank you Amanda!!!🙌👏🫶♥️
Yall kill me 😂😂😂 #DoBetterMike
Isnt Taylor just fkn awesome though 😍
Jake you fkn killed the commentary for sure 😂 💯🙌
Haha thanks dee! 😂😅 -J
I love seeing grown men cry, but I for one appreciate that you all have different ways of expressing emotions. It took me like three years of therapy to be able to cry when I'm sad (yeah I'm aligning with the psychopath, or what my ex boyfriends called "robot/cold bitch") but there are two things I can always count on when I need to get those tearducts going: Disney movies and Taylor Swift.
I forgot what I was going to say, but don't forget that you are entitled to react how you react. You are not less sympathetic just because you don't cry, any more than you are less "manly" or whatever because you do cry. It's awesome that you talk about it, and for what it's worth I think, based on what little I know, that you are wonderful role models for your daughters.
🫶
Thats her true talent, being able to bring a feeling into just a few poetic words that say everything!!
Long Live tends to make me cry even on a good day. It’s just nostalgic. Today I wasn’t going to cry, then Jake cried. So I cried. Great job as always guys.
So as a swiftie who has been around since debut and who knows the lore. Long Live is not or was not originally about the fans it is about her first band which at the beginning of her career was called The Agency. There were originally 9 members of The Agency but as time has gone on most of the members went their separate ways to work on different projects. However, there are two members of The Agency that tour with Taylor to this day at The Eras Tour Paul Sidoti her lead guitarist, and Amos Heller who plays the bass and keys. If you watch the Eras Tour movie Paul and Amos can be seen when Taylor performs basically any song with her band on the lift and the entire Fearless Era. But I know for sure during Lover, Fearless, You Belong with Me, Love Story, and Long Live.
I’ve always thought it was also about winning her first AOTY Grammy for Fearless when she felt like she was this teenager with her rag tag band coming in a sweeping the big prize from the adults. There was so much backlash at the time. Like how dare she!
@@musicfangirl7403...so she wrote the entire Speak Now album by herself because no one believed she could write AOTY Fearless
"And the cynics were outraged
Screaming, "This is absurd"
'Cause for a moment, a band of thieves
In ripped up jeans got to rule the world"
Exactly! I think this song moved me more back then for this reason. The song seems a little cutesy now that’s she’s such an awarded artist but it still makes me emotional.
Yes, I was gonna say something similar. You can tell by the way Taylor, Paul, and Amos interact, look at one another on stage they all mean alot to each other. It's really cool to see them stick together for this long!
People always forget Mike Meadows! He has been there since Fearless Tour and David since Speak Now tour and are also still with her today. Mike plays banjo, guitarr, keyboards and vocals. David plays Keyboards and is her musical director. Her band is still called The Agency. And 3 of the Starlights are still with her too.
We love jakes ted-talks! 😊
Thank you!! 😅-J
Jake is a treasure!
You should absolutely listen to the whole song of long live. The Bridge in that one has always been for her fans “take a moment and promise me this, that you’ll stand by me forever but god forbid fate should step in, and force us into a goodbye, if you have children someday, when they point to the pictures, please tell them my name”
long live is THEE taylor song here in brazil, it carries so much meaning between taylor and brazilian fans' relationship, so thank you for this beautiful reaction! 💜
Thank you for being vulnerable with us Jake! You are everything a real man should be! I love this channel!
Long live is my fave. 💜 So looking forward to this.
True, if you’re a toxic artist, you’ll attract toxic fandom. She is the reason why Swifties are such awesome people.
Guys, you made me super emotional. 😂
It's sooo beautiful to hear Jake's thousand thoughts and see his thousand feelings in each video...I really appreciate crying along with him hahah🫶
Alex you really deserve more credit, low key. I see you buddy, & I appreciate you.
You guys now have to react to the full Long Live at the Eras Tour. It's for both her band and the fans, and the fact that pretty much most of them have been with her since the beginning (the guitar and bass player for sure since she was around 15, others shortly after) and she gets to sing it for them with them still on her side is absolutely special. And all together to the fans 💕
On her speech thanking the crowd, I love that they showed that clip of the security guy proud of his job, even though he kept composure, you could tell his eyes are smiling.
You guys also made this video special, I always enjoy your commentary, you guys get it and we can tell. Much appreciation to you too!
Yasss!
I had never heard an acoustic version-so good. She mentioned the families crew members have to leave behind for extended periods, that made me tear up from the very beginning.
New Year's Day is such a precious song. Definitely one of her best
OK, Jake's third ted talk made me cry! I feel so blessed that I am taking my (grown) daughter to see Taylor next month. I'm crying my eyes out!
😢❤ Oh My God. So I just watched a reaction from a guy named Luke. He reacted to a Taylor surprises her fans clip. 2 minutes in he was getting emotional about her kindness. She had randomly chosen some fans, went XMAS shopping went home wrapped the gifts then personally delivered them. He made the comment that she is so real, honest and genuine. He has never known or seen any artist that would even do that. Long story short I stop in to watch you guys do a reaction, listen and see Jake getting emotional and think 😮Oh Lord not again. Back to back? 😢😢 I grab a kleenex and think these 2 guys are as real as it gets. What a way to start the day.😉 Keep it real. Great reaction and great therapy session. ❤ stay safe.
I follow Luke. These 4 guys are all my favorite reactors on YT.
Taylor wrote Long Live after the Fearless tour. It's an ode to her band, her crew, and her fans. She really is just a great person!
Evan you are my spirit animal 😂😂😂 jake had me in my feels this reaction 💯 this reaction was so fkn great guys ♥️ i cant stop laughing at Evan being a potential psycho path 😂😂😂😂 fkn hysterical

@TAHBofficial I am in the same boat so no fkn shame here 😂💯🙌 life will do that shit to you
I'd like to add also that you three dudes are some of the most likable people on CZcams. I love how real you get with some of the more emotional music you react to. And there's nothing wrong with that, keep it up guys!
Thank you!! 🫶
@@TAHBofficial My pleasure!👍🙏
Everything you guys said is the reason for swifies protect Taylor so hard. I love seeing the emotions. I always cry when I listen to this song. This Taylor way of thanking the fans.
Love you and your TED talks, Jake, from one crybaby to another, you make me feel seen 😂. Long Live being about her band and her fans holds a very special place to a lot of swifties. Your favorite artist dedicating a song to you doesn't always happen after all. And now that a lot have changed around Taylor's life ever since she wrote New Year's Day, the line about familiar laughs KILLS me harder this time around. She initially dedicated it to her ex she's dated for six years and I die a little bit inside whenever I hear the song now.
Enjoyed this little 30 min hang crying to Taylor Swift with y'all. Can't wait to hear your thoughts about her latest project.
These two songs are so underrated and love them so i love she did them together!! ❤️🔥
Long Live is such an IMPORTANT song for the swifties. It always makes me emotional. Hope u will see the oficial video
I'm crying right alongside Jake with this one. I loved this so much. Seeing a System of A Down fan getting emotional over a Tay performance makes me so proud. She makes us feel so many things and invokes so many memories - and I loved hearing the Mum appreciation story!
A man that shows emotion openly is just on another level. Never, ever bottle up those emotions! 🫶🏼
Guuuuuuys you should listen to Long Live (taylor's version) in full (speak now tv or from the Eras tour), especially because of the promise that is mentioned in the lyrics, i 113% swear you that you are going to love it! 🫶🏻🫶🏻
I've seen this performance more times than I can count, and it gets me every. single. time. There's something so powerful about people being joined together in a huge group and feeling the same thing. It's so human and beautiful.
Great reaction! You guys are the best! Taylor is a master at hitting that C spot. ❤ can’t wait for you guys to do some of her new album. It’s a masterpiece.
Oh this video does not get enough credit for how amazing it is! At the end you guys watching Jake watch Taylor and just in your faces you can see the live and support. No words need to be spoken. I wish others would watch and see how powerful and relevant this is in today’s world. This is REAL life. This is authenticity. My heart is full!
Long live was the song that convinced me to go to her concert. I would have to spend a lot of money with hotel and plane tickets, one day I was watching the rep tour on Netflix, and when this started playing I cried so much and I just knew I had to go.
And I love BTS too, and totally agree with you, BTS always protect ARMY. In interviews when reporters ask what crazy things the fans have made to get close to them, RM always says that he doesn’t call it crazy, and is such a small thing but is so meaningful and it shows how much they care.
and that's why taylor swift and bts are the biggest artists and the most loved by people!!
This is one of my favorite performances EVER!! 🎉🎉❤❤ love you guys!
Taylor is soo adorable! taylor does a lovely thing to her fans which inviting them to her house for secret sessions before any album release and she makes us cookies let us take pics with her, her cats and her awards. And christmas (we call it swiftmas) she sends presents to swifties, she buys them a wrap them by herself, and sometimes she's the one delivering them, and that's why we love her soo much
Jake is me... Long Live makes me cry every damn time. Something so powerful about it that makes me feel so much pride in being a swiftie. So stoked to see your reactions to some TTPD!!!
Long live is probably in my top 5 or even 3 Taylor songs. I just connect to it hard. Almost every time I hear it I cry.
They honestly needed to listen to the songs individually first to truly appreciate the mash up
New Year’s Day is such a fantastic song of hers. It’s so beautiful but simple and one of the best things about it is it could be applied to any type of relationship in your life. “Please don’t ever become a stranger who’s laugh I could recognize anywhere” is one of her best lines in any song
Long live has such a special place in the heart of every Swiftie! Her eras tour performance of Long Live is epic 💜💜
We love u Jake 💜 Thanks for making me cry at work 😂
Haha my bad 😂😅 -J
I just love you guys! Evan and I would be best friends, because when I’m emotionally dying inside, or I’m sad beyond capacity to function I always act like I’m the smiliest, most cheerful person on this planet. So I get it my man! But this time Jake got me man, I teared up, and I wasn’t planing on crying today. Again, another great reaction my guys, thank you
I'm already emotional because my first born graduates high school at the end of the month. On top of that, my baby girl enters high school in the fall. Then Taylor's words, Jake's tears and his parental speech at the end. I'm a mess and I'm trying to work guys! C'mon!
Sorry 😂
You three are such a unique voice here. (3 peeps, 1 voice) I haven't been with you long but look forward to watching your takes. Thanks 🎉
This was such a good reaction. Also, as somebody who smiles when I’m sad or scared, I felt that, Evan. My (ex-)therapist used to bring it up EVERY time I started crying and smiled through it. So frustrating.
Also…my daughter wants to go see her in concert…but I can’t afford the tickets. u_u I wanna see her, too, of course, but my daughter really wants to go… Someday, maybe. Sigh.

Love you guys! Thank you for being as open as you are and for being emotional it’s beautiful to see and so important! That’s what brings me back to your reactions every time.
The thing that makes it really special is that you can tell that Taylor actually means it when she's thanking her fans. She's not just giving it lip service and saying it because she thinks she should. Like some do.
That's why we love her so much!!! ❤❤❤
I love your family dynamic. You guys give each other space to experience the music in your own way without judgement. Pretty awesome. Great reaction, I was crying along with you. :)
I love how she seems to soak it up, even after all this time of performing. ❤😊
