He is nowhere near competitive level but he is a good actor. The two staged "failed" attempts to reach the hold and making it with a spin afterwards was a good performance.

He needs proper rock slippers. Also I used to do rock climbing though do not for am minute pretend I was anywhere near his level, but one practises a route and after a while can be fast as one knows where all the holds are. I suspect the route he chose he knows very well.
