Already from Velachery to Adambakkam section MRTS work fully completed. From Adambakkam to Thillaiganga nagar ( fallen girder spot ) track and electric pole completed.
Also fallen girder removed from the spot at Thillaiganga nagar. New girder placement work need to be complete.
From St Thomas Mount MRTS station towards Thillaiganga Nagar track laying and electric pole work started.

To complete the work it will take 6-8 months, then for inauguration date selection it will take another 6 months. So wait for min 1.5 yr 😄

They will not commence MRTS operations till the Metro Work is completed on the Integrated Block as CRS will not approve till then due to Safety Reasons.
Thanks. I guess metro viaduct ( precast Girder ) will be complete simultaneously before MRTS work completion. Already metro beam work completed in integrated portion. Steel girder ( stocked adjacent to railway track for assembling ) for metro above Tambaram - Chennai Beach railway track will be challenging part of metro i guess. Let us hope both MRTS & Metro ( integrated portion work ) will be completed by this year
Yes. All the work has to be completed at least in combined stretch. CRS will clear only then. There is a separate CRS for metro. So both have to clear.

We have 40 mps in parliament for the past 10 years,but a track of 5 kms could not be speeded up.
Very sad
The only and main concern in MRTS stations is lack of proper security through CCTV or by railway police officers. In main routes starting from chennai central to arakkonam and chennai beach to chengalpattu it is there, but not in MRTS railways. Those stations become really deserted at night time and it is not safe to travel especially for ladies. I hope government takes action for that and brings up a strong security in all the MRTS stations.

When they complete this stretch, we can switch lines at St.Thomas Mount itself. No need to be going all the way to fort station.
@@krishkish1 I think for the passengers boarding at Mylapore, Mandaveli, Tiruvallikeni interchange at Chennai Fort MRTS station / Park Town MRTS station will be convenient to reach Chennai Egmore & Chennai Central
@@NambiValavan yes from MS or MAS fort will be convenient, but for going towards TBM this would be useful.

The following connections are available in Mount station. Tambaram, Egmore,Anna salai, Koyembedu , Velachery & finally Sholinga nallur. Hence all express trains from outstations must halt at Mount station instead of Mambalam. Road transport access is good near Mount station. The platforms should be altered to halt longer express trains.
Thank you so much for the excellent presentation. This detailed video cleared a lot of doubts. Only one doubt is that of the length of the fallen girder. The earlier videos stated that the fallen girder was 40 meters long? Hope the work will finish soon.

Your suggestion make sense to hand over the precast work to metro but I personally feel it's not possible bcz the metro grider size is different from the MRTS. But we can suggest the southern rly to start the operation btw Velachery to adambakkam like they do in beach side they stopped before park st.
Delhi red line metro and yellow line metro Kolkata metro also runs in broadgauge track so it's 💯%possible another thing Chennai ICF manufactured Kolkata broadgauge metro rakes so we can easily converted to new mrts phase .
Another option also available that is AC local train now currently running in Mumbai City this rakes also manufactured by ICF 100 percentage it's possible.
What will happen to blue line of metro? Phase 2 is also coming to same station. But how it go out?
Alandur to St Thomas Mount metro route of Corridor 5 is still mystery. Likely in upcoming months we will know the exact plan

@@PraveenKumar-fp4rb Initially that was the plan to terminate Central - St Thomas Mount green line trains at Alandur. From Alandur to St Thomas Mount existing track will be in operation for Corridor 5 metro route.

Mount metro station for the new line is going to be in a new building? The tracks are entering the old building right? How will they build another 2 floor building like Alandur?
As of now pillar work in progress. Not sure whether it will have separate metro station for St Thomas Mount of Corridor 5 . Likely in few months we will know

All this is just false hype. Its been going on for years. the track work signaling till thillai ganga nagar was completed 10 yrs ago itself.
These useless guys will not start service till metro work is completed. How can girder or track laying for metro be done when mrts train is running below. The girder work, steel bridge across tambaram section, electrification, track laying and signaling work for Metro between thillai ganga nagar and st thomas mount needs to completed before they can start service of mrts. only God know how much time they will take.
I think metro work ( integrated portion ) will complete simultaneously when MRTS work reaches finishing stage. Let us see what will happen
