Great review, but I have a question I’m hoping you can answer. How strong is the detent? I like normal to lighter detent. I’m not a fan of super strong detents. Thank you for your review and thoughts on this.

How strong is the detent, LeftyEDC? I like the look a lot but I know you love strong detents. Due to a hand injury/issue, I struggle with stronger detents for reverse flicking on my right hand. If true, will it be easy like other frame locks and liner locks to adjust for someone like me?
@@Robs_Nerdy_Knives hey man! The detent should be good for you. Because of the top flipper it wont be as strong as i usually like it.
@@LeftyEDC That’s awesome! I was worried because I know you love a strong detent. I bought Arno Bernard iMamba and love the detent on it, but I know you sent yours back because it was too light. I had this underlying fear that I’d break my finger or bruise trying to deploy one of your knives. LOL.
@@Robs_Nerdy_Knives there is always going to be some variance in production so there will be lighter ones and stronger ones. I just tend to want the stronger ones. So, if you ever buy a Divo knife and you want a lighter detent, I can always adjust it or pick one out that works best for you. But I think this model will work well for you. Lastly, it isn’t always about the detent strength, but the hole shape, angle, and finishing. If the detent is lighter but the angle is too tight or the hole is sharp, it can hurt more than a strong detent on a knife with a good angled hole and 45 degree edges for comfort. Just some food for thought. I appreciate your interest in our knives. Also, the IMamba is a great knife, i just wanted it to be slightly stronger 😂
@@LeftyEDC oh, I absolutely agree that the engineering is so critical, too. I had a Little Mouse Sonoma that had an okay detent if nothing touched it, but if a gnat’s butt hair touched the frame-lock, it would not deploy regardless of how strong you are. I believe BeardedGear had the same issue after I looked up the issue.
I returned it and truly believe it was an issue with the very protruding detent ball and the very sharp and deep detent hole that effectively gave it angle of contact between the detent ball to the hole of 90° or as close to that as you can with the detent ball still being secure in the frame. Even adjusting it did not stop that issue and I have heard nothing but good things about the production process and results of your knives.

@@Adamas11 that will be a game time decision, depending on how each one sells. We have a minimum to hit, but there is no limit. Last time we limited the copper cf and more ppl would have bought that one than the micarta. We do not want to do that again, so everyone has a chance to get what they want. So its more about how long we leave it open. Depends on how many get ordered. Our goal is just to fund the project. Anything more will be icing on the cake.
