    Man! There are soooo many ways to skin a cat in photoshop! I'd never have thought to do it like this! Great tip, thanks guys.

      Yeah seems very counterintuitive to use noise. Would have gone straight to the blur.

    • @davidholdstock
      @davidholdstock Před 3 lety

      @@zed2960 Median IS a type of blur. It is just categorised under the noise filter menu as it can in some cases be used (very carefully) to remove the noise that may already be in an image.

    You have NO IDEA how much time you just saved me with this trick. Not for creases per se, but for all those ugly marks and footprints on the seamless paper. I can't be more grateful.

    I would like to see a comment from one of the few who down-voted this video. I just want to know what could possibly warrant it. Did Aaron skip in front of you at Starbucks a few years back? I mean, this is a total time-saver when current events remind us that we don't know how much time we have.

    • @silekiernanphotography
      @silekiernanphotography Před 3 lety +2

      I think maybe they miss Aaron's commentary; he is very engaging and funny. This is an excellent tutorial but his personality adds so much.

    • @silekiernanphotography
      @silekiernanphotography Před 2 lety

      @@daltonrandall4348 Interesting. I don't find Aaron narcissistic in the slightest, he comes over as a humble guy to me. I am a subscriber to his website and have watched a ton of his tutorials over the years. I guess we all can interpret differently.

    • @daltonrandall4348
      @daltonrandall4348 Před 2 lety +1

      @@silekiernanphotography I haven't seen him specifically, I was just referring to commentary vs. straight explanation in general. There's no reason for a person to be involved other that they believe their input is so great that we all need to hear/see them. This was clean, short, and to the point. I really appreciated it.

    • @silekiernanphotography
      @silekiernanphotography Před 2 lety +1

      @@daltonrandall4348 I see, I don't care much for all the talk either. Very annoying and unnecessary most of the time. When you have time check out Phlearn's (Aaron's) other tutorials, his input is often valuable, especially in his complex composites.

    Another way you could do this is using the mixer brush tool and copying the a smooth part of the area your trying to clean up and just paint over the imperfections as it’ll blend the color and smooth it out and it you do a decent enough job it’ll produce similar results as this

    What if your model has lots of stray hairs around the crease of the backdrops? this really only works around hard edge shapes...
