That's hilarious, "Card blocking on fixed, is a next level play that I'm not privy to." I love that, around roughly 14:14 minutes in.

The interesting thing about more streamers is that its a 1+1=5 type of situation. Not only do more creators mean that content gets boosted by the algorithm more (helping views in the short term), but it also makes people more likely to find a creator for that content they like (helping views in the long term, as the game gets more popular).
And that is not even mentioning the ability to do collabs and such, which are almost always more successful videos.
Risk is a relatively popular "gateway wargame" that virtually everyone who plays wargames has played quite a bit. There should be a way to parlay this into more exposure and success. An online Risk game takes less time to play than some of the "heavier" wargames take to set up on VASL. Granted, the true grognards are a small and shrinking population, so that may not be the "target audience." Also, collabs are the BEST way to grow a CZcams audience. I am subscribed to at least five creators that I would have never known, without the collabs.
Man, blue who had the least troops and probably lowest ranked who started the fighting got first.
I don't think blue knows what "Fortify" means.
Pete, I think you need to start taking statistics on players, avatars and colors to see if you notice any trends. the first two moves by these aggressive guys white and pink. They both have the shark teeth.
red players are definitely more aggressive I know that at least. Napoleon players are untrustworthy

Andor is amazing, I highly recommend it, especially if you liked Rogue One. Rogue One and Andor are the only things I like about Disney Star Wars though.
I'll second all of this. Extremely worth watching. The best Star Wars they've produced since the original Saga. Arguably better in some ways.
What about Bad Batch? It's pretty cool too IMO. The Mandalorian concept is pretty cool but majority of episode plots are so BOOOORING 🥱

There is about 30 Minutes of action, and 1 hour of Question answering, which makes that part all the better. The questions carry!

have you played risk legacy in star craft 2 yet? its risk but instead of turn based it is time based and your amount every minute goes up depending on aquired land, has a competive scean as well. assasinxy and some others have videos of it , very fun under the radar custom game

Hero quest! I wish I still had that from when I was a kid. The illustrations and piece artwork was amazing, and that game goes for so much now. I remember playing it while rocking out to Hercules and Xena on the TV XD.
I think you could have won that game based on blue locking his stack up and his play being so slow he wouldn’t be able break all your bonuses but you would have to commit another 2 hours to build your troops back up 😂 we believe in you!
On another note , I started playing end of February, lost my first 20 or so games in a row before going on CZcams to find out what I was doing wrong. Found your channel and now I’m master level and halfway there to GM- so big thank you for your content!

After having Risk and playing against bots just to kill time for months, came across your channel and decided to give Online a try.
With your tutelage, I've become Expert in 42 games.
Really enjoying Europoopin Advanced either on Fixed or Progressive. I do find myself coming across alot of assh*les however who seem to enjoy stalling the game once it's clearly over and not taking the win.
Any advice on how to stop that from happening (other than obviously not losing in the first place lol)

My family has always played the missions version of risk, I’d love to see what strategy you’d take in this scenario (example missions being kill another player, conquer two specific continents but I’m sure you already know this)

1:14:10 - You might want to look into 1st edition Descent. It's HeroQuest on steroids and pretty damn awesome. 2nd edition wasn't as good. I'm curious about 3rd edition, but the cost is very prohibitive.

The Lord of the Rings version specifically suggests using Fixed Cards! There's also a ton of other interesting (although a bit too many) new rules and playstyles relevant to the lotr theme.
My mom's version of Risk is from the 70s, that one only has fixed.
I think its too bad this upcoming 5th season of lower decks will be last. BUT, I'm glad it got that much in a world where a lot of other good shows didn’t even get a second season.

Pete have you considered going over smg’s head? Hasbro is ultimately the owner of the ip and has liscensed multiple game studios to make risk games. You could appeal to hasbro to pressure smg or as bad as it sounds create a whole new game with input from the community. Just food for thought.
The goal is not to breed resentment. He got a Q&A stream with SMG recently, soon he might have more contact and then input. Hasbro wouldnt really care either, and creating an offbrand game without the risk IP will just take from Risk and it will die
The obvious solution is neutral bots don’t gain anything ever but what if instead having a neutral bot territory inside your bonus didn’t prevent you from holding?
20:06 i agree, it would be amazing for this game if you were taken siriously and discused ai and logistical improvements to this game, so much so solo play would be more enjoyable rather than a predictable waste of entertainment. i truely feel you could make bots competitive with simple algorithiums
Glad to know this channel appreciates DS9. My only nitpick would be i still think early DS9 trumps early TNG (episodes like Duet for example). DS9 from beginning to end is the most consistent in quality. Their worst episodes are usually at least "good" while other series have more stinkers, and DS9 has like twice as many "great" episodes as any other series, including TNG.
I dont want to put down TNG at all bc i too really love TNG, but i have to say it feels more hokey when it approached moral complexity whereas DS9 felt more understated and masterful in handling the nuances of moral grays. DS9 never really gets too heavy handed with a message, allowing all sides to be complex without the clunkiness of earlier Star Trek. The cast of characters is also too much for any of the other star trek series to contend with. Most Trek has like 3 great crew characters, DS9 has like a dozen truly compelling returning characters. Even Worf got his best character treatment on DS9, which sort of highlights what those writers could do vs TNG with the same character. Pound for pound DS9 is the best Star Trek out there.

Turn off camera animations
When attacking do these steps.
1. Click your stack
2. Click on target territory
3. Press Enter (to confirm attack)
4. Press Enter (to move stack)
Repeat steps 2-4.

I abhorrently hate the "he's a novice" so they suck mindset across the entire platform. I'm a novice (ATM), placed 2nd against speedster and if i was on PC possibly beat you Pete in my KPO2. I was a master but don't grind the game so i lost my rank. I guess it's a thing but everyone saying people being a novice are idiots sucks. I just don't play every season or at all but i did hit just under GM.

@@TheKillPeteStrategy I play a lot of "gotcha spend money" games- which I'm proud to say I've stopped spending (mostly)- and they have what they call "envoy" or "game changers" which do not get paid (I think?) and are allowed to beta test etc and provide feedback. These programs always come heavily restrictive in much of what you can voice about the game as well as not disclosing anything you see before hand. I fear any consultant position within SMG would be one of those type of titles and prevent you from providing true expressions of the state of the game. They tend to not like negative feedback even when it's deserved.
@@sjmoorez Well we're past the point where SMG can be trusted to steward Risk into a product that would be competitively viable or share our vision so it's not positive v negative per se, I'm sure a competitive and non competitive Risk clients can coexist
To be a steward in their eyes you guys gotta have a mutual agreement of some sorts. At least from my experiences with game developers and their "standards".
