His upbringing exposed him to the contradicting worlds of traditional politics and grassroots activism.

And I only think in this form of conclusion that 'The Land of Ophir' is the most reasonable, indeed originating from SEA (for countries it is still a hypothesis) because even King Solomon has visited any country (other than his place of origin) including SEA 🤔. Midian is Saudi. And why would Solomon send SHIPS to go to either of those places when you can simply go by land.(?) You need to read the Bible and use common sense.

Because what makes precious stones so holy? Does the bible say that Ophir or its natural resources of precious stones was a holy place or holy ?

There is a mountain on the island of Malaita Province, Solomon Islands (Southwest Pacific) call Ophir (pronounced locally as OFI). From oral history and traditions, some people claimed that their first founding ancestors came all the way from Israel and reached that mountain top. From there they intermarriage with other Melanesian people who were already there. Currently at present, that place is kept as sacred and taboo. I hope proper archaeological and anthropological will confirm if such oral histories are true or not.
