I'm seriously enjoying these old Charlie Chan movies. Thank you for sharing it.
You actually mean ......these highly enjoyable CLASSIC FILMS.
We need more men like Charlie Chan, cool, calm, and a lot of confidence. Life is like a feather on the water flowing with the current. Thank you for sharing this awesome unforgettable movie you shared with us all 2 thumbs up for SeplFilmiDham 👍🏼👍🏼‼
I always enjoy a good classic movie like this.
I used to watch these on the saturday double matinee on TV They used to be the second movie after the Tarzan movie.
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙋🏼👍🏼🇨🇦
Bravo bravo Mr.Charlie Chan you are absolutely incredible love your film you should be a legend you must be a legend thank you for sharing
Thank you very much!
I think that varnish on the sarcophagus needs at least another 1000 years to dry lol
Charlie Chan always advocates for love.
What a trip!! I'm enjoying old Charlie Chan movies, watched them as a young girl. Great combination of mystery and humor. Anita in Texas
I grew up watching Toler but Oland is very good too, I enjoy both their takes on Charlie Chan.
I loved the architecture. Or the sets. I think in todays movies their more interested in cgi then great acting and actors!
there are no more great actors.
Rita Hayworth was so beautiful but her ending so sad. Alzheimer’s is a terrible disease. What really made me furious was those damned gossip magazines putting a big picture of her at her worst on the front. What a heartless despicable thing to do. 😢😡
Was unaware of such. How utterly horrible & thoughtless. Hope Karma prevailed.
When I was an undergrad around 1994, my Mexican-American sociology professor said she hid her Latino heritage (changed her name and even lasered her hairline to look more Anglo/WASPy) to become famous and that’s why she got Alzheimer’s and died. I thought that was a harsh statement, but it’s a shame that she couldn’t be herself back then.
@@pele11201 lasered hairline and developed Alzheimer's? Ridiculous.
I like their shriners hats
I always enjoy these movies.I wish they were bringing them back
I remember BBC2 showing these in the 80s. "No1 Son" was the original Cato in the 1940s *"Green Hornet."*
Love Charlie Chan movies, thanks so much.
Thanks for the good print. I went to 5 others til I got to yours.
Glad I could help
The old poison gas in the violin
Rita Hayworth is in this one, aged about 17.
No way really? Cool. Thx. We all start somewhere and NO ONE MAKES IT OVER NIGHT). I'm trying to pick her out
She’s a brunette isn’t she?
you are kidding !!
And look what she went on to become. 👍🏻👍🏻❤️
What role did she play?
"You might as well gone" and "you strutter too much." These lines of Stepin Fechit, the black actor, are hilarious in this movie!!
Thanks!
Rita cansino is Rita Hayworth when she was just starting out as a starlet before she became a well known actress Gilda. Glenn ford was her neighbor and always loved her. She use to tell people. They fantasize about going to bed with Gilda and they wake up with Rita She said she disappointed a lot of men
Rita is the maid
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😃✨️ Great series! Thanks.
How is this made in 1935, the quality is like 1960s
I despise. People whipping animals.
Me too
Nice
I'm enjoying the old Charlie Chan movies, he's smart off the cuff responses makes the movie.
Its just amazing how in those days they made sure that the black actor came across as an imbecile. Also in Gone with the Wind.
i guess you missed that really nice young lady snowshoe was wooing.
Qq
CLASSIC FILMS.
You are correct on one account....the way the film portrayed Snowshoes is despicable. On the other hand, have seen "GONE WITH THE WIND" numerous times & can't recall any black actor being portrayed the way Snowshoes was....not even close.
No. Anything with zou-zou or lena horne or dorothy dandrige , etc… And Rochester with Benny always played the smart one…
I enyoed
The room looks modern but I know it’s sets
Do they ever do costumes on the Oscar’s anymore? I mean that’s why I watch the program besides who wins
Ya just don't MESS with the tombs of the Pharaohs!
For upon they that would so-do are to come deserved,
premature ends. Beware of such greedy foolishness!
Where is list of roles and actors names? Usually seen at end of movie. So sorry. Did not see it.
The Secret was a jaw dropper. The ending blew my mind. He has the same people in many of his movies. I saw the Captain of Momte Carlo in 5. He was so plain it took e real looking to make sure. Drue Leighton in the Circus the one who says she married The owner is in many. He was close to his people & the effeminate one who's in the secret who killed Arnold is in a few. I watch over & over. Then Poirot ( just fabulous) then Dennis the Menace. That Jay could act facial expressions like no other. The one in he tree house tweeting that wood whistle. Look at his face. & kissing Margaret's baby in the kitchen with the free dinner while mom was sick. Watch how he thinks how can he do it fast . It's the best. There's no othe Jay North. One Dennis why bother. Usually once cast it's done!. Cannot find r redo. Try t do The Ghost & Mrs Muir over? They did disaster. Another Gene Tierner & Harris. Never!!!! Flawless back then
Let’s go brandon
you need a real life.
I'm hoping dumb #1 son don't show up. lol. Otherwise love Chan adventures! I wonder why they hired Snow Shoes.kinda coward.. lol
6:23 And here we have two white men and a black man, each portraying a racial stereotype. This is the only Charlie Chan movie with Stepin Fetchit, aka Lincoln Theodore Monroe Andrew Perry, but Chan acquired a comical black chauffer in later movies played by Mantan Moreland.
We’re is Charlie’s number one son?
Charlie Chan's eldest son played by key Luke made his first appearance in the film Charlie Chan in Paris. Charlie Chan's number one son played by l a y n e Tom Jr was the only son to play alongside Warner Oland and Sydney Taylor in the famous detective series he studied criminology at the University of California in the film series. Charlie Chan's other son Jimmy was played by actor Victor s e n Young who later played Hop Sing in the hit series Bonanza. In the movie Charlie Chan at the circus he had 12 children Seven Daughters and five Sons.
I stopped watching as soon as I realized you cut out footage in the beginning.
Bad form!
What footage.?
WTF is with the STUPID rap song as an ad on this movie ?
By the way at the beginning of the movie you see what they doing they are stealing if you were leaving to the people who it belongs to maybe they would be rich instead of you and you wouldn't have to worry about feeding the poor Savages
The racist can make a
triel out of this movie
IT would be nice if you could get all these movies colorized. It would give them more life.
No no no nooooo!
Would have been more enjoyable without Stepnfetchit. My 21st century mind finds his character is very cringe.
Yellow face, colonialism, racism nothing has changed
If that's all you can see in this, I truly pity you.
@tz3218 No one forced you to read my comment.
Take up your beef with Mother Nature. She's the boss and assigns her "ways-of-being" to all to be followed.
Any that do not in attempting otherwise, LOSE the game.
Here exercised contrarist human will means essentially NOTHING; the myriad of failures standing high as evidence pro- the contention.
We humans are a very stiff-necked species, doing on account of an overage of intelligence, what generally ends as failure.
Instead of learning from experiences and making natural adjustments, we double-down and go at it again, expecting improved results -- a convincing indication of madness. Eventually as repeated over-and-over, this is to prove AS TERMINAL!!!
Such an ending now grows near.
Questions?
@@robinstewart6510What's your colour punk
can you imagine being a black kid or a young 20 something watching that movie in 1935 . and seeing the how different you were? jesus the racism here if fucking mad .
You are right. jesus is to blame for the racism
@camera man celtic It's only 90 years ago. Better plunder a baskebaw shoe store in protest. Set fire to Portland.
@@stanthology Absolutely, great point! A cool 1935 film & all he got out of it was racism!
Old films such as this give us a glimpse into our past and society as it was. It shows where we came from and how
far we have come and how far we have to go. Enjoy the story for what it is.
That racism made him a millionaire….
I would enjoy this but they make so racist
