    I’m 19 years old! I recently graduate from high school, I really want to go to art school, and i know that this stupid education system wants to make it Complicated so I been trying to research as MUCH as I can to be damn sure is all worth it! And the worst part, I have to explain to my single mother, to make her feel better but somehow she goes under stress, which in turn gives my a HEADACHE! The closest art school is SCAD and is 38,000 at year! I been finding art schools that is lower that than and the only one is a small art school called RMCAD that is 22,000! But I feel a little sketchy about it! Honestly All of this is very hard and sad, it makes me cry!!

      Fuck art school son. Hitler didnt go to art school and he became the Chancellor of Germany in under 20 years. I'm sure if u got the talent and the tenacity you will be able to manage something.

      With you having a single mother which I'm guessing doesn't make a lot, hopefully you could apply for a grant then you wouldn't have to pay it back as long as you graduate from the school you enrolled into.

    Families should know what is the EFC for their specific families so they can prep for the college cost.

    • @FederalStudentAid
      @FederalStudentAid  Před 4 lety

      All data used to calculate a student’s EFC comes from the information you provide on your FAFSA. Lots of things are taken into account, including a standard estimate of basic living expenses. The EFC is calculated according to a formula established by law. Things considered: your family's taxed and untaxed income, assets, benefits, family size, and the number of family members who will attend college during that academic year.

    When is the most optimal time to fill out the FAFSA? I hear that you should apply as soon as it opens, but what if you are a high school student. Would it be reasonable to apply before knowing which college you are going to or will get accepted to?
