He KaDazee ik it's bad timing but could u plz talk Abt Goku's kaioken in ur next "details in dbz games"!! If u activate aura burst charge In DBZ Shin Budokai 2,[pressing R then quickly pressing L] in some characters like piccolo,cell,meta cooler etc, will activate their 'regeneration' and they'll gain some health bars...whereas in Goku (kaioken) he will stack it up to five times, and his attack power increases with each stack,however it takes a toll on ur health so use it wisely!! Plz talk about this I've been dying for u to do so!!

I’m not the only one who played with the characters like toys! I had an entire fan fiction saga I played out for no one but myself. Sayains resurrected and attacking earth, Omega Shenron returning, it was fun.

Fun note for 5:30, they show Trunks in a Z-styled outfit followed by a different version of Trunks with his Super outfit... possibly hinting at various versions of characters across the series, similar to previous games! Also fun to see that they won't be cramming Trunks into one standalone character.

Also, you slowing the clips down allowed me to see just how amazing Vegeta's beam deflection looked. It didn't fly off in a straight path, it bounced across the landscape in an arc, and the gameplay continued! Beautiful.

Nah it is entirely possible they skip out on local multiplayer, as that is becoming an increasing trend among video games. However, I will point out that even though the playstation store shows this game as single player only, the gamestop listing for this game states it is 1-2 players offline. So until we get an offical confirmation, take all info on this topic with a grain of salt, because there seems to be a huge miscommunication on someone's part (either playstation's, or gamestop's)

The "teleport behind the enemy" attack is when you do a charge attack by holding Square and then press Triangle. It already was in Budokai Tenkaichi 3
He was saying there was no way to do it from that specific kick, indicating that the movesets might be different too.

@musti4972 I know what you mean. But doing a charged "UP + SQUARE" doesn't result in a knee kick (not with any version of Goku at least. It looks identical to the "UP + TRIANGLE" knee kick from BT3, hence why I made that comparison.
@TheVivi13 goku charges that knee and besides I played with him characters with instant transmission teleport with just directional and circle at certain states
Something they didn’t show that was a detail that I ALWAYS enjoyed is the clothes being destroyed in the course of battles, this HAS TO HAVE!!!
I remember that in some battles I used to let the enemy hit me just to see vegeta holding his arm or Goku with the blue shirt, feel so real when your character got hit and they look like they really got hit.
I loved that feature, I would lose a beam struggle on purpose to see it. Also, it looked like Vegeta's outfit was damaged when he was fighting with Goku at the start of the trailer.
And don’t forget the blood and injuries when the character gets damaged from beam struggle or by an ultimate like Vegeta having a hole on his armor and Gohan with his injured right arm, too bad they won’t add it to the game and make it similar to Dbz Bt3 and Dbz anime

at 3:57 the Kamehameha is like its manga counterpart where the energy encompasses the entire fighter rather than just coming from the hands

I hope sonic sway, turn attack, low trip, rising attack and air combos are still in here. It's easy to forget those attacks and tech if you haven't played Tenkaichi 3 in awhile.
I'm praying that they add everything from z counters to dash cancels etc, widen the skillgap just like how it was back then🤣🤣🤣🤣

1:41 In Budokai Tenkaichi 3 the Instant Transmission Blast 1 ability always teleports you behind the opponent, no matter where they are looking. If you launched them while they face you, an Instant Transmission would put you behind and they would bump into you with a little stun. Doesn't work if they're facing where they're being launched at since you'll appear behind them and they'll continue flying.
And also if you hit the circle button after launching them with a charge attack you'd instant transmission behind them and knocking them away again, shown in the video.
It honestly baffles me how he didn't know about it, assuming he has played the previous Tenkaichi games.

It's just the Japanese name. It's always been called Sparking in Japan. They just changed the name to Budokai Tenkaiichi in the US

At 01:42 the combo with the knee kick is actually from a game called "Dragon Ball Zenkai Battle (Royale)" from back in 2009-2010 in the arcades, also developed by Spike, the creators of Tenkaichi and Goku had that as one of his basic combos, even the animation is a bout as smooth as that game's.
While Zenkai Battle never got ported directly, its assets were used on other Spike games, such as J-Stars Victory Vs and Jump Force. I think even Victory Vs uses that combo. The destruction mechanics seem to be the next gen version of Zenkai Battle as well.
At 02:59 that you mention movement mechanics, they have quite a few options, they can use Tenkaichi 2's, Ragin Blast's or Zenkai Battle which plays a bit different than the other two and instead focuses on the ground-air-ground transitions and sort of dodge and weave kind of motions. But, Zenkai Battle also had the teleporting mania ramped up due to that.
The beam clash at 04:01 could also be a nod to the Dragon Ball Online opening based on colours of the beams and how they animate the clash, as an easter egg beyond the return of beam clashing.

Yeah! Personally, I was a fan of the destruction point mechanic from BT3. It feels like a decent balancing mechanic for characters just being better. Jiren is stronger than Krillin, so what? Jiren is worth 11, Krilllin is worth 5, you can have both Krillin and Android 18 for the price of Jiren. Oh? Something makes Android 18 really good all of a sudden, ok, well maybe instead of being worth 6 points, she's worth 7, or 8 now.

I wasn't that big of a Fan, since it was still the same Gohan, just in a New State
If they do it as a separate character, I want him to have the beast transformation. That way there's still some continuity: ssj/ssj2 gohan = teenager, ultimate/beast = proper adult.

I think the telepory behind mechanic is inherited from Raging Blast 1 and 2. It was pretty common in those games, you usually hit a strong attack in any direction and would launch the enemy in that direction. Then, by pressing Y or Triangle, you would teleport behind and hit them in another direction

Something interesting is that all the character designs seem to be based on Naohiro Shintani's designs from the 2018 Broly Movie and anniversary animation.

I just want to point out that while i am VERY concerned with how the final product will turn out, I am EXTREMELY relieved to see that this is going to be released for ONLY the strongest running consoles. I would have given up all hope if the devs were forced to accommodate the switches hardware.

Well it could very well be released later for the next Bintendo console that is rumored to be on par or surpass the others. Of course this is just a rumor, but it’s possible they still release it later for a Nintendo console.

I can't help but get annoyed when people immediately jump to mods. Like damn, the game isn't even out. Enjoy the game for a while before trying to "improve" it. No offense to you, I hope I don't come off that way. Just my opinion.
I dunno about you, but I don't need or want mods. I enjoy games as they are (as long as they aren't broken anyway).
@@Xeno_Solarus No worries. I'll complete the game first before I apply mods. If it needs them. I only tend to use mods that enhance the vanilla experience. Like for example, more advanced map damage and larger explosions. The only reason I'm excited for mods when it comes to Sparking is Tenkaichi's dedication to authenticity in emulating the source materials combat and counter mechanics. Raging Blast 2 would've been amazing with mods if it saw a Steam release back in the day. All of the missing characters could've been added and someone could've added an advanced cel-shader to fix it's visuals.
@@Cautious_Gamer DBZ BT2 had the teleportation move before an attack and I found out myself how to combine items on characters to reduce ki usage for that so I ended up with a character being able to repeatedly teleport both offensively and defensively. Instead of doing it four times (standard) I could do it eight times.
It sounds dumb but it's the coolest video game experience I've ever had. It looks like they're adding the same mechanic of repeated teleports if timed correctly and I haven't been more hype for a game in perhaps a decade.
Too me it looks like on that knee kick the ground underneath is already cracking from something so simple this may actually be some insanely good stage destruction like we've always wanted!

Honestly the biggest change for the good, besides the graphics is the insane animation work. That’s one thing I love about many newer games is the change and increase in animation quality.

The destroy the planet skill of freiza in BT3 actually does destroy the planet. But not when it hits the ground, but the enemy.
If we get Raging Blast movement we're doomed. Tenkaichi's movement mechanics are a huge part of what made Tenkaichi what it is. Hopefully next month we get some proper gameplay.

You know.. they probably won’t add that little detail when the characters gets damaged by a beam struggle or an ultimate.. they got injures and blood all over them and damaged clothes similar to Dbz Anime
@@Omega-jg4oq That was when the characters went from green/yellow to red health I believe. It wasn't necessarily due to a specific type of move. Either way I hope they add it. Their posture changed as well if I remember correctly. The character seemed slouched and tired almost out of breath like the anime character would. Good times.

When Goku and Vegeta beam clashed you could see sort of like a glass breaking visual effect very similar to Gogeta and Broly breaking through realitys in dbs Broly

I hope there's options to turn off all the particle effects. Tenkaichi three is probably my favorite fighting game ever, but I have a feeling it'll be annoying when every single attack (Physical and special) Causes the screen to have lightning and circles of color that cover up most of the screen.

Honestly, my main concern at the moment is that the game has a proper "tenkaichi sized" roster. They've shown a decent few characters so far, but with so many games these days trying to cut back on roster sizes, it is natural to be worried about how big the roster will actually be since this is the first entry in nearly two decades.
Part of the fun of the series in the past was that a ton of characters were included, including many that most fans wouldn't know about unless they watched everything related to the franchise. It's of course still too early to tell, but my natural pessimism makes me worried it's going to mostly focus on Super characters, with only a handful of "classic" characters that were particularly noteworthy such as Cell. We'll have to wait and see though, and more than likely it'll be a day one buy for me regardless since I'm just happy we're finally getting a new entry after so long.

I find the movement thing a bit confusing. I guess there is a difference but it always felt rather small to me. Like the difference between a yard and a meter.
The only thing i do feel is that bt2/3 has 3 levels of movement (left stick only, stick plus x, stick plus x and L2) Raging blast only has 2 iirc. Normal movement and high speed.
Ive heard some people make similar statements on combo speed but.. i barely feel that too lol. Unless you use a high speed character like ss2 gohan.. where every Square input = 2 hits instead of one. But both series have fast and slow characters (ss2 gohan is fast. Super Trunks is slow). This trailer mostly focuses on base goku and base vegeta... who are likely not the fastest character. ...and maybe thats why. Bigger diff between gohan and trunks than tenkaichi base goku and raging blast goku...maybe.
...one thing i dont want from raging blast though is rb2s vanishing minigame (the one you see frieza and vegeta do here). Rb2 has a drastic slowmo for that... supposed to make it easier, except it doesnt. It just fucks with my timing lol
On the note of rb2 i do hope sparking zero remembers that lssj broly and monster zarbon are supposed to be fast... not slow.
Don't forget you can go even faster during and L2+X dash by repeating the input during one. That and the soft stick tilt make up for 5 movement speeds.

...its just... raging blast has that one too.
Rb2's vanish battles are only slowed if you hold down on the stick when you vanish. Other directions are normal speed and based off the characters animation.
People are delusional if they think there won't be an absolute littering of DLC characters and season passes. They are going to completely strip all of the fun out of it. No local multiplayer? Bandai Namco are not your friends.
I will never afford a ps5 in my country so I can see the truth/flaws early on

Those beam struggles made me so mad but happy at the same time like bruh the broken controls be different
Something different which I feel is very important to point out, is in all other games you are locked in one place after vanish so the only way you can counter is by doing a vanish but if you look at the clip again Frieza turns around right before the kick comes out meaning we might have another way out of that lock this time around
People, we are about to get somewhere around 155 Characters for this game & maybe the longest story mode of any Dragonball game EVER yo
