here is my theory. there is a ghost buster reference out of the blue. now the first time there was a ghost buster reference it was when the first movie came out in 1984. ghost busters 2 came out in 1989; hence i think season 5 will be set in 1989.
I don't think eddie will come back alive. But will definitely make an appearance. Maybe a flashback or like what they did with dacre's character, billy. Also speaking of Ghostbusters, Finn was in it so that's kinda cool.

I don't think the idea of it being a dream is a lame or stupid idea. Think of it this way... no1 dies maybe Billy stays in California with his mom and he's actually a good guy. Nancy and Steve end up together. Maybe Joyce and Hopper are together too ...

I think the wonderland photo can be interpreted 3 ways.
1. Holly being manipulated by Vecna.
2. Max in a coma, and waking up like how Alice in Wonderland was a dream.
3. The Duffer brothers leading us away from the real plot of S5 by teasing the stranger things dnd game theory, which they said was false.
Hold on, the Max theory could work. That's a great guess at what it may be representing.
I mean, could Max dream? Her mind is gone. So maybe she could in Vecna's lair but I don't think she can in real world.
@@krpowe6663 Yeah, I don’t know if max could necessarily ‘dream’. I’m thinking more of a dream-like status in vecna’s mind since max is technically alive, but her soul’s with vecna. Since she’s in a coma, her ‘dream’ could be an adventure in vecna’s mind, trying to defeat vecna and return to her normal life. This is a huge reach, but it’s just how I interpreted it.
Ok very off topic, but i think billys still alive. Hear me out. I rewatched it again and im thinking. So when Billy got attacked, he got sucked into the upside down. And so when the mindflayer like connected to him, it was a clone of him. So im thinking that the mindflayer killed the clone and billy is still in the upside down... Like im not sure but its a theroy🤷🏽♀️

Will had been somehow possessed by the Mind Flayer and to be honest it's not clear for me how he did manage to do that. I mean, how could he be in the Upside Down too?
Or was it only a vision? And that it reflected the Mind Flayer finally taking over? I hope we'll get answers.
But for Billy, I do think it's more a vision like what was shown to the victims in the season 4.
But why not! We can imagine until season 5 releases!

I have 2 theory’s with the Alice in wonderland painting. 1: this could be referencing a flashback of will falling into the upside down in season 1, very similar to how Alice falls into the rabbit hole. 2: Vecna might manipulate Holly and make her see something like an animal that gets her attention and lures her into the upside down, similar to how Alice follows the white rabbit. :)

@@isabellagray6299That episode is not pointless. El would have never learned how to channel her anger if Kali hadn’t taught her how to. When El closed the massive gate in season 2, they specifically added flashbacks during that scene to her and Kali’s training session to show that she had learned something meaningful out of it.

Alice fell through a hole and ended up in wonderland. I feel like in Stranger Things season five, the tunnels might be a method of time travel. Maybe in season one, Will fell through a whole, ended up in the tunnels and crawled his way to the upside down.

I really want to see Hawkins become some kinda Upside-Down hive. It fully resembles it, it’s home to all the creatures, it’s covered in vines, I feel like that is the kind of final battle setting that would just work with the show. A fully transformed Hawkins, and of course to see everyone hunting Demogorgons obviously tells us that there’s plenty of Upside-Down activity around Hawkins. The gate is still open, so…

I think the tictacs (and flosses) mean that there will be some kiss scenes. I remember that Millie and Finn (actors of El & Mike) told in an interview how they took tictacs on the set before a kiss scene. Seems very common there.

I am convinced there will be a storyline involving, Max, Eddie, Billy and more people who have died or been absorbed into vecnas mind/being while they are trying to fight vecna from inside his own mental landscape. Maybe in order to free the souls trapped inside vecna. Maybe to weaken him by cutting off their energy. Maybe they need to track down the souls of the other psychic kids he killed at the lab. To rally them to fight from inside.
Honestly I feel like people are sleeping on dr owens. I hope they didn’t just kill him off camera. I feel like a duo between him and Murray would be really interesting

What if that reference to Alice in wonderland means that holly isn't in danger but vecna made holly dream and in her dream told her that her siblings and their friends were in danger. This would make sense following the clip from the bts video were holly is in her bedroom.

i personally think that's how Vecna might lure Holly like how the white rabbit lured Alice and that's how Holly would end up in The Upside Down, or, hear me out, they might be telling us that Vecna is luring children and turning them into monsters to make an army like Nancy said in her vision.

Yeah, in S4 when Alice enters the creel house in the 50’s, I noticed that she was wearing the same clothes as Alice from Alice in Wonderland, and this comment reminded me of that!
This is a good thought! I always thought Alice Creel didn't really die because in her last scene her eyes weren't bloody. There is an argument to be made that they just didn't want to show that level of gore on a kid but that's kinda negated by Hawkins Lab Massacre scene. Some people have floated around the theory if she is alive she could be Mrs. Wheeler though I'm kinda hoping that isn't the case.

Can someone please explain how Dustin/Steve/Nancy/Robin were able to get out of the upside down at the end of season 4?
The gates seemed pretty inaccessible after they tear through Hawkins and converge. You can clearly see all 4 gates rip open with fire, so I don’t understand how the kids were able to climb back through. Eddies ceiling was completely destroyed. Any ideas???

I loved Eddie just as much as everyone else, but if he’s miraculously alive after the Hopper fake out on season 3 and the Max fake out in season 4, I’m going to be very disappointed.

one is due to leaks we have saw as in Ross duffers instagram we saw a sensory deprivation bath which was used in season to find will and Barb in the upside down so maybe el is using it to find holly in episode 2 and a reason vecna took her was to be a distraction from them trying to find him so he has time to reheal and build a bigger army

Didn’t Shawn levy say we should get some sort of answer to when it will be out by the time dead pool and wolverine releases? Maybe they just needed more time or maybe one of the photos in this gives a slight hint to when it will come out (then again it could have been the behind the scenes trailer we got because from them saying their half way through gives us the ability to make a rough estimate of when it’ll be out)

What if this was just will's dream or a simulation? That would be very anti-climatic, but this isn't impossible. The most probably theory is that vecna is El's biological father if you analyze time and how much is old he in some years.
