I think the sororitas fit perfectly into the ''mary sue girlboss'' thrope.
We know that all female organizations do not work well in the real world.
We know the sororitas are just normal human beings, women, physically inferior to men in almost every aspect, with lower quality power armor than those of the space marines, and their bolters are a farcry of SM's bolters, and yet we are told they are a match for space marines. It makes no sense.
Even though, I like the sororitas, it's 40k crazyness and it's cool.

I still think you are right, because there is really no reason why others should not have such a faith, as well. Especially the ones who are chosen to be cloned and genetically enhanced for such characteristics.
In the end Games Workshop just made some space for women to be special and just like you I personally like the way they did so.

The Sisters of Battle fight, bleed, get scarred, die, and sacrifice themselves... permanently... for the good of the imperium. Plus, how many die in training? Their prestige is earned, not awarded. Mary Sues dont train, dont fail, and exceed everyone else with no effort. An astartes would also annihilate a SoB. Mary Sue how exactly?
And girlboss? GIRLBOSS you say? Clearly you dont follow the lore because they literally get their most unique powers AND guidance directly from a man. Hell at one point they were called the Brides of the Emperor. If anything they are an example of subservience, not dominance.
