Such a shame too because Cuba then, even now, could still be a great team. Players like Juantorena, León, Leal, Dennis and at point point Simón could totally make the Men’s Cuban Team a threat on the National scene.

Because Aguero ran away and asked for asylum in Italy. Since then Cuba changed the rules, so most Cuban players decided to play overseas only.
