i appreciate the fact that all three of the actors are on the spectrum
Finally👏
Source?
Yes. I was hoping they be.
Their performances are great and on point in terms of relatability, but the script writing of the show still felt more like it catered to an NT way of thinking about autism more than anything else.
ALL the autistic characters are played by autistic actors!!
Get this show a second season, it is amazing has a 97% rating, this show is good for so many people on so many levels.
What peacock save the show
Or Apple tv
as someone who has struggled socially as well as emotionally for years, this series has struck a deep cord for me. I had to learn on my own how to interact as well as learning to emulate more desirable behavior, but had way too many flags go off to not be someone who is autistic - sensory overload, blurting things that can be inappropriate, liking routine and not having it disrupted, focusing on certain things over others, issues with emotional literacy, and the like. I laughed and was in tears within 5 minutes with this show in the first episode.
Me too!!! Imagine not saying hat you think like neurotypicals- must be VERY boring!!!
@@elizabethbennet4791 yes but at times as well, not always reading people properly does not help so it's a two way street. Sadly the conscious behavior emulation ive had to resort to came later in life (taking positive personality traits and integrating them). Sadly wasnt til into college age :(
Same bc after high school it was hard for me to socialize and everything
My 33 year old son has Asperger's and entered the Navy a year ago! I'm so very proud of how he went through all of the barriers, so I am looking forward to watching this, for sure!
🎉❤😊
I promise to watch this series. No matter how painful it is for me. My wife and I raised two sons. One with autism who is non verbal and requires 24/7 care. His older brother has Aspergers' and is gainfully employed, but not much socialization. He will care for his totally disabled brother when my wife and I die.
I pray every night for a more understanding society. If my son could meet a sensitive "typical" young woman, it would be a Godsend. Or. even another "Aspie", it would be a blessing. One cannot imagine how hard this can be for a family. We soldier on and give out all until our last breath. Please hurry America and be understanding. I am 70 and running out of time due to my health.
Sorry to hear this I hope a very great person comes into this life 💜 and pray for you and your wife's health 🙏 ❤ 😊 much love and peace coming your way
Wow i am so sorry to hear that this show has raised my awareness a log
Sending prayers and blessings for your entire family. ❤️🙏
If we don’t all burn in nuclear apocalypse the young folk in this world will make sure all of us are seen and heard. Thank you for being a great dad
I feel so sorry to hear this kind of story from your family. Sending much love from Indonesia 😊😊❤️❤️
As am autistic person it is really good to see some representation in the media. Very keen to watch this show.
I hope you reply to this comment when your finished watching the show. I'm interested in your thoughts on the show.
@@jaylee1364 I thought the show was great. I loved it and I could really relate too Harrison
@@hollieblack7194 Thanks for the reply. I thought the show was great as well.
It really over exaggerated it in my opinion.
Same.
As an aspie I connected with all three lead characters: Jack for the way I'm terrible at opening up to others and the way I fidget, Harrison for the way I shut down during confrontation and Violet for the frustration of being treated like I'm still 2 feet tall even though I'm 33 years old.
I’m glad you enjoyed it and could connect!
I am on the spectrum, and I watched the entire season in one sitting. Loved it, thank you.
Is that the dude from the "Take Your Shoes Off" podcast? SCOOT DOOOO!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This looks great Rick
OH YEAH!
Blabidee bloo
This looks dope rick
SCOOT DOO. Rick and Sosie look amazing. I’m already crying
This was one of my favorite shows so far. As an autistic person, I've never felt so represented and understood as when I watch this series.
My family was friends with Alberts and it’s amazing to see him in a movie I’m beyond proud of him!!
I just watched the entire season and loved it. I hope there is a second season.
Same
Hoping so that this show may continue to the second season!
I'm so frustrated. I just heard this morning that the program has been canceled by Amazon. Such a great show and I have to give Amazon credit for trying something we would have never seen anywhere else... just a shame they couldn't stick with it.
@@Bargerland Well that's disappointing... really disappointing.
They cancelled it 😢 My son is so much like Violet. I loved having representation as a neurotypical person living with/raising Autistic children. I felt seen in my personal challenges while also getting a glimpse into what my son's future might look like when he's older. What his goals, fears, and challenges might be. I also love that the characters were more of "high functioning" Autism is often overlooked or looked down on by general public who don't understand the spectrum of Autism. They assume that Autism is all non verbal, non social etc. This show did a great job representing Asperger's or high functioning Autism in my personal opinion. I'm so sad it was cancelled.
This show restores our faith in mankind. I wish season 2 would come this year itself. I loved every second of this show! Chris Pang! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I LOVE EVERYONE ON THIS!!!
Have you seen the trailer for What's the Rule? Can't wait for that show
@@zoelechtman2834 huuuhWUUUT??? A new show, what is it about?
As someone on the spectrum it's so nice to see representation in the most respectful way.
As a mother with an autism child I am soo happy to see representation on the media ❤️
I’m glad they are making shows now representing those with autism :) We truly needed this.
Another good show about autism is Atypical. I like Sosie of Kevin Bacon as the facilitator
Great show better than anything I've seen on Netflix in a long time. Rick Glassman what a performance 👏👏👏
This show touched my heart. I cried several times.
Rick Glassman! Finally TYSO fans can have what they've been asking for, a chance to see a genius in his element. Looking forward to this for all the Glassman boppers out there!
Goblins unite & show love for Rick (&Sosie!)
This looks really genuine. I hope it holds up. You know it looks promising if I as an aspie man relates to one of those scenarios, and laughs.
It's not often a movie brings me to tears. This is a wonderful movie that everyone should watch
Glad I'm not alone
In a parallel universe, this is what Music looks like.
This looks better than i could have imagined, I can't wait
I was skeptical seeing the preview, however this show is amazing. I'm hooked.
How did I not hear about this show while it was on? I just discovered it and I can't stop watching.
I totally enjoy for every second of this show. Please release the 2nd season as soon as possible 😊 Looking forward to see Mandy's acting once again, I'm truly in love with her character 😭
That was hard to watch the supervisor horribly treat someone with autism. I'm sure that occurs in the real world but it is a great way to show how people on the spectrum need to be treated with kindness.
I am enjoying the show so far. The character's all have interesting issues that they are dealing with.
The acting is above par. The original music is great and its both sad and up-lifting at the same time. That is how everyday life is for many people.
The show is an inspiration to many......
I became an Amazon Prime member just to watch this show.
WE NEED THE SECOND SEASON!!!
Whew. As someone a lot like jack with a single, chronically ill parent…. We have had some of those exact conversations. Intensely accurate for me.
yay!!! stay strong comrade!!
Life's already too hard without also having to deal with disabilities. I know because I'm one of them. So I know this series is going to be an emotional roller coaster for me 😭
Well think about me
Gay guy with disability 😅
Nothing can top me. God was like I want this guy to have most fucked up difficult life.😭
@@lovemyself6441 gay is not a drawback. It’s a high level quality! 🤩
It is hard, but it's worth it. We're here, we're weird, other people need to get over it! 😁 I hope you enjoy the series, I'm looking forward to it. 😊
So new, refreshing, chaotic and yet beautiful, thanks you~!
I just finished watching this. Season 2 now please
Peacock is the solution
Or Apple tv
I can't afford the channel that this show is on. I am just glad it is on.
This made me cry!! I am so excited
They did us dirty with Carry On going on in the bg. That SONGGGG
There's a foreign version of this show you can find out there that was called On the Spectrum. The dubbed voices were English actors that are on the spectrum. Hopefully this gets a season 2 and a good one
Thank you for typing this. I was kind of sad that there was no mention of that in the description. but i am glad that this version has actual folks on the spectrum in the main cast.
Well it is about dang time! These are my new heroes. Thank you!!! I'm laughing and crying at the same time. I'm happy. 💗💗💗
Unexpectedly great show!
this looks powerful. great song btw
what's the name of the song
Carry on by fun
powerful? Ugh
I just found out the show existed because of reddit, So excited to watch in myself after I get my new TV
Work with students on the spectrum. I see so much of them in these characters. It's about time their talents, personalities, and gifts are shared.
I liked that it’s not bowdlerised like so many other pieces of neurodiverse media
Hermosa serie ❤ cada persona que tiene un ser amado especial, ama a Jack,Harrison y Violet ❤
Espero salga pronto la 2da temporada 🌟
Can’t wait, this looks amazing
This show is fantastic. Just watch it already!!
Why do i feel like im going to love Sosie so much more after watching this....
I don't usually watch feely shows but I found these characters endearing and couldn't stop following the story until I saw the end. Now I would like more, please.
Watched this trailer so many times that my arms are tired.
Will be supporting because of Ricky boy and kevin bacons daughter who appeared on Ricks show is on it as a 2 lead to support Rick
“When you’re browsing for a new TV show to watch. You need choices.”
I'm going to take my shoes off for this one!

I want season 2
Can’t wait!!!!!!
Harrison is such a sweetheart
already teared up watching the trailer
Just finished it and I loved it. Funny, sad and just brilliant
I am really enjoying this show thus far💕💕💕
“That makes me wanna throw up” is a line I’ve used way too much when getting a compliment. Idk why, it just HAPPENS
i’m gonna have binge watch this.
Such a great show.
Helps us to respect autistic people. I have a good friend who is autistic savant. He could memorize the entire Yellow Pages.
just when i was thinking NO ONE was gonna use Carry On by fun. on the media. also, very This Is Us vibes
I kind of see it. This is like Atypical aligned with This is Us
@@stefantomasi4036 yesss totally
what a beautiful show 💓💓💓💓
Anyone know the theme song that plays at the end of each episode?
Fantastic show
Very fantastic. As the show of AWSI portrays autism like Rain Man, this one had more mature themes compared to the movie. Rain Man had some coarse language and infrequent sexual content. It had some PG-13 vibes compared to As We See It and one episode references porn
This looks really good!
I have 4 on the spectrum ,this is so like my 2.Beautiful
You have 4 what? Your 2 what?
@@drnanard9605 I think she means autistic children but people like to use euphemisms
It was incredible!
This looks really interesting, will definitely watch.
Amazing series
Love this !!!
I refuse to watch anything that raises awareness about autism spectrum disorders if it wasn't executive produced by SIA, the foremost and most respected name in tasteful autism-related media.
LMAO
LMAO this comment is everything 🤣
Is this a troll or
😂😂😂
Arf!
I saw parenthood and friday night lights.. yes, i watch!
Thank you for the video.
I enjoyed this series very much.
I'm autistic (asperger) so I really felt that 😊
I cant wait to see this movie. My son is autistic adult and faces many challenges like this.
This looks amazing.
I have to watch this
I think Harrison was the most innocent character in the show. I loved him as a character. On the other hand, Aunt Deb was my least favorite character. I understand why she distanced herself from Jack and his father, Lou, but she didn't have to be so rude to Lou, who I thought was a great character and a supportive father. The scene where Jack and Lou did edibles at the end of that episode is both funny and sad, because Lou was trying to rough out hard feelings after getting ultimately destroyed by Deb.
Y'all let's support this show
Ricky my boy!
YAAAAAAAYYYYY!!!!!! SEASON 2! SEASON 2! SEASON 2!!!
That Rick glassman guys arms look tired
Love it.
And they all live happily after the movie.
Bring it back.
Season 2 waiting
I have a great affection for autistic people.
Same here
