Good Luck was Billboard’s no.1 Kpop Song in 2014. Beast is now Highlight: they didn’t renew when their contract with Cube agency ended in 2016 and they formed their own agency but since Cube had trademarked Beast, they changed their name to Highlight (the title of their last album as Beast; also quite a bop) in 2017 and scored number1 with their “debut” song, Plz Don’t Be Sad. Theirs is the most successful rebranding in Kpop history.

I am so happy you did this. One of my faves for them. They go by Highlight now. They left the company and could not take the name. I believe it is just 4 of them now. Not sure they are out if military service yet. Cannot wait for your Yoon Mirae reaction!
All 4 of them finished their military around 2021 :)
BEAST is actually called "HIGHLIGHT" now! I think yall reacted to their mv before (song name is Not The End!). They started using the name highlight in 2017 after establishing their own company called Around Us. Their previous company (cube) had copyrighted their group name "beast" & didnt allow them to continue using it after they left the company.
I think highlight is doing pretty well considering they're from the 2nd gen. They will be having a comeback on 7th nov so maybe yall can check out their new song :)

And yes, before we have Jongho now, we have Yoseob (the main vocalist), they also resemblance a bit
Loved Beast....they were one of the more talented groups ever. One of their members Hyunseung was originally one of Bigbangs members before debut.
Oh, the sweet nostalgia! I miss their sound, and I think Korea misses too. Looking back at the top 10 in South Korea, Beast was always there with so many and good hits!
Beast (and Big Bang) always killed with the hip hop and R&B styles. I mean, listen to this vocals, raps, the production, everything sounds AMAZING!
They just came out with a new EP, check out *"Alone" by Highlight* and...AND Junhyung also came back after *4 years of absence* in the kpop industry, still freaking out 🤧, check out his song too *"층간 소음" by Yong Junhyung* I think the translated name is *"Loner"* or Koong? I can't help to think it was intentional that both Highlight and him released a song with a similar title/theme. (Junhyung used to be the rapper and composed/produced the majority of Beast/Highlight songs)
They're about to release a new album on November 7th! Please watch it!

Beast are now Highlight and they remain the best Kpop act! Their discography is solid-they’ve never done a single bad record-and their vocals and live stages are outstanding.

They have a some dark MVs with unexpected storylines for kpop, I like that they would think outside the box but they are difficult to recommend (the other ones are Shadow, 12 : 30 and Ribbon imo).
Good Luck was super well received despite being that emo (btw the B side We Up is good too), so well actually that Mnet started rumors that they were lipsyncing on stage to stop them from sweeping first place everywhere. As a result for their next comeback they boycotted M Countdown so there's no 12 : 30 stage there.

This is actually my favorite album by beast y’all gotta listen to it
the song changes kpop to me. Before this, i only see idols and kpop songs as rebellious or some trendy thingy for childish people yet this hit diffferent. till this day, it still can bring tears to my eyes. the song, the voice,the dance moves, the story, the acting... perfect in every aspects
Loved beast, they have some bops, miss them a lot. Their highlight now so it’s great some members rebranded and still release music.
Glad to see some love for Beast. Another good one from them is Beautiful Night.
