I honestly think if youre a Halloween lover, you need at LEAST 2 nights! That way you can take it all in! If youre not used to large theme park halloweens, it can be VERY overwhelming.

I love the tip about getting hyped. As the resident horror expert in my HHN group, I schedule movie nights, get the group up to date about franchise lore, etc. As of 2021, I've also started making an annual hype playlist with music that relates to the year's theme, houses, scare zones, and general vibe (Monster Mash is a must, of course!). I send it out before the event and we also listen to it when we're getting ready in our hotel room

Something that helped me get hyped up for the originals and scarezones, at least last year, was Universal Creative did a podcast that served as a prequel to the originals. It absolutely gave so much life to the houses and made Dead Man’s Pier even better than it already was. Really, really hope they do that again this year

I missed too much last year by just going in the stand by lines. We were so beat from just standing and learned our lesson! This year we got our RIP tickets so we don’t miss anything. Considering the two houses that were just announced, I am Glad we did.🎉👻

This will be my 20th HHN and my hubby's 30th year! These tips are spot on! These are all what we tell first timers.
Bring cheap ponchos! If it rains, you won't be slowed down or have to dish out $$ for theme park ponchos. We have been in ankle high puddles at HHN and were able to keep going with the rest of our bodies staying dry.
We did detailed plans (including bathroom breaks and food/drink stops) when we brought a big group of family going for the first time and we completely maximized the night and managed to do absolutely everything in one night! They basically got an RIP Tour from us....haha! 🎃👻💀

Made the mistake of assuming the 2 nights we had at HHN last year would be like the previous year (75 degrees). We were off by a lot. Always packing a pair of jeans and something long sleeved just in case from now on

First off love the Halloween decor. I check the hotels daily and so far I've saved us 200 dollars total. I made a list of movies that are related to all the rides and the IPs as they come, to help get us in the mood. Also if u wanna see a yeti stylish movie it's Snowbeast 1977 it's very much a 70s horror movie , u never see the beast but u hear the noise and see things from its points of view (also I havent seen it in like 20 years so I'm not 100% on if u see the beast or not but it's something that is different and cheesy)

Thanks for the awesome video! I’m incredibly happy that you brought up the point about needing the express passes. It is virtually impossible to get it all done on a weekend without it, and even with it, you need more than one night if you want to include all of the shows and scare zones.
Your members only group on Facebook has been a godsend for my HHN trip ! Everybody is so knowledgeable about hotel refunds, and re-bookings, ticket pick up options, and just general chitchat.
So glad you mentioned checking back on hotel rates, it ended up saving me so much money well over $300, and I get to stay at a nicer resort !

We were there in a November, my first time in Florida, and I had to buy a sweatshirt because I had assumed in Florida it is always hot, but the evenings were 40s-50s when we went.

We only get the RIP tour. We live in NY and want to see all the houses. Although my dad lives in Tampa we don't have time to spend multiple days there during that time of year. I love the RIP tour. To me it's soooo worth the money.

Coming from Illinois and plan on 3 park nights. Got a Frequent Fear with express because it was cheaper than 3 individual nights with express. And you’re right, planning is everything! And tip: if you order HHN shirts ahead of time it’ll save space in your luggage

@@ThePughTwo Yah it does. I really don't like parks that are oversold. I haven't gone back to HHN since 2007. Last time i was there, it was a sold out night and it was absolutely miserable. Worst experience ever. Only saw 2 houses. Stood in lines all night. Couldn't get food, etc. I love halloween, but swore i'd never go back.

One of the helpful tips for Halloween Horror Nights that I don't think you mentioned was don't be afraid to ask for help the staff are very nice in directing you where you want to go

I'm glad I bought my ultimate frequent fear pass already because it is absolutely crazy that this year you have to select a night for your pass to start and can't use it prior to the start date you chose. I'm sure September 1st start date will book quickly. Also if they take away the multi-night tickets online like they did last year, you can call the parks and the customer service reps can do it for you that way :)

So this is my third year and I'm so excited. Last year I splurged and bought the frequent pass and we went for three nights, it was amazing. However, very expensive. I have a pass with my season pass. That didn't count, so I had to out right buy the pass, so having one was a waste. Plus, I will never go without express passes. I really, really want that pass again this year, but I don't see us being able to afford it. It has went up so much. And I can bet that even with express we can't do them all and do Stranger Things again in one night. Oh well, I still just can't wait.

Awh, thank you! The houses last about 3-5 minutes each. I’m the biggest scaredy-cat there is, and I love the event. Last year I even did all 10 houses by myself for a video, so I believe in you!! Lol

Went for my first time last year and it was one of the best nights of my life! I had so much fun and I'm going for 2 nights this year😊❤ Every part of this event is amazing! You can't do all in one night, I needed breaks. I was screaming and jumping so much I was cramping up😂 So I'm working out now to prepare body for the shock, I hopefully won't have that issue this year. But either way I have 2 nights so I'm hoping I can see everything this year. I didn't see any shows last year so hopefully I can make those this year

We basically, had a windfall& are planning to take my son, daughter &her boyfriend to Universal. We originally planned to go to DW FOR like 15 years. So GOD willing, We have made reservations/tickets to UNIVERSAL.....We are not staying onsite, But a mile down the road. @@ThePughTwo I can't wait to see it. Don't spend any time on the rides that you can do anytime. Concentrate on the Hocus Pocus show, the parade, the treats, the fireworks, and the ride overlays (Space Mountain in total darkness). I think you two will have a great time.
Because of this video I went ahead and purchased my HHN ticket with an Express Pass!! Just the thought of waiting in a long line or even tickets being sold out gave me a reality check! 😂 Also, would yall consider doing that HHN "back of the park VS front of the park" challenge again? It was so great to have different POVs in the same video. ❤

We go to Orlando in September for 3 weeks, but RIP or express pass are not really in the budget. We go on a Wednesday to HHN and pray to the Halloween gods that day won't be too busy 😅

multi-night tickets are the only way to go if you live near and are able to attend, tip #1 - always remember to take a picture of your parking spot!!!

I got two nights, on a Wednesday and Thursday to allow me time to see it all with less crowds
Depending on when that Wednesday and Thursday is, we have found those days to be equally as busy as the weekend anymore!

this is going to be the first time the 4 of us are going to hhn, we got it for oct 29 and oct 31. , any suggestions on how to get to the park, uber? we have a rental car,,,,drive? we will be at a hotel 10 minutes driving time away oct 29 but not sure which would be easier. We are staying at sapphire falls for 1 week starting oct 30 so getting to the park for oct 31 should be easy. Two of the people coming down have never been to florida at all so they are very excited. Love your videos.
We’d probably Uber in your situation! It might be a little difficult super late at night to get an Uber, but it should be a lot cheaper than renting a car and paying for parking!

As someone who's gone every year since hhn 5... you can do every house, every attraction, and both shows with an hour to spare with express. With the lagoon show not happening this year it will be even easier to navigate.
As someone who has gone for just about as long, we will have to agree to disagree, while it is possible, it is getting increasingly harder to do so.
How long did it take to decorate your place? Did you already have it all? I love Halloween and you channel the spirit well!
Haha not long! We go hard on the Halloween decorations so we already had all of this!
