Yep couldn't remember. Turned out it was supposed to have been both of them. if you had bones spurs you'd remember which foot, especially if it was both. I briefly had bone spurs that I was able to have treated and have been able to prevent since then, years ago. It was the left foot.

In most cases yes it's required to play Fortunate Son but in tRump's case he really is a fortunate son so it would be inappropriate, I think.

@@felixoupopote Well the claim of bone spurs IS how he weaseled out. Technically bone spurs can be treated, so he could have had them and not have them now. However, he was also participating in several sports during the time he was claimed to not be able to be drafted because of bone spurs. So he obviously did NOT have the bone spurs he claims and got a doctor's deferral for.
Muhammad Ali went to jail rather than go to Vietnam. Now *that's* an impressive way to resist enslavement by the military-industrial complex.

He, like many college students,got 4 years of deferments while attending college. His 5th deferment was after graduation. Some guys took off for Canada. Some got letters from their doctors regarding a disability that would classify them as 4F. Each individual has to answer for that issue on their own. I will say, no one wanted to go to Vietnam back then after the Tet offensive in 68. He was one of many who got a 4F deferment. Muhammad Ali refused to go on religious grounds. Parents did not want their sons to go to Vietnam so they talked to a family doctor to help their sons get exaggerated deferments. Just saying...it's how it went down back then.

I'm not a trump fan! However, he was no different then many of his peers who got themselves out of an illegal war! So why criticize him for this? Recently he got Congress to approve a continuation of veteran health care benefits! These benefits allow vets to see private doctors! Something that has been needed! An agency was also established to effectively oversee the veteran new health program! His reputation has been one of verbally disrespecting veterans! So it's nice to see him actually helping vets!
