    • @janandersen8735
      @janandersen8735 Před 3 lety +4

      Not necessarily. The platoons (vagthold) are organized by height and sergeants assigned at random, so it could be the other way around.

      @@janandersen8735 Probably another case of the phenomena of "when it does happen you notice and when it doesn't you don't" on my part. I've seen the same effect in very old reels of German and British parades etc.

    Die Kameraführung ist teilweise sehr wackelig, und das Bild spingt hektisch hin und her. Das wirkt oft sehr dilettantisch. Manchmal ist weniger mehr, das heißt eine ruhige Kameraführung ohne hektische Schwenks professioneller..

      shighberg believe me, i myself is a royal guard in Denmark and we dont get to this point sleeping, it’s a very long and rough journey to get the premiss of guarding the queen and her family

    • @janandersen8735

      @@habo8722 Depends on which British guard regiment regiment, they have 5. The Grenadier Guards are 2 years older than Livgarden (1658), which in turn is a couple of years older than the Coldstream Guards. However, we started wearing the bearskin in 1805, 10 years before the Brits. Pro Rege et Grege.

      @@MightBeSmart Not at all, if needed they assist the police (has already done so on multiple occasions) and has been sent on multiple locations around the country serving aswell. So it is no waste at all.

    • @MightBeSmart
      @MightBeSmart Před rokem

      @@jackmeoff454 i wrote it about the monarchy. In Denmark the royal guards are not helping the police in any case, if the police needs assistance to block roads or direct the traffic, we have something called "hjemmeværnet" (in english: home guard) it is a pretend-to-be military kind of thing, they assist the police, not the royal guard except from at the castle.
      But its was the monarchy that was a huge waste imo.

    • @jackmeoff454
      @jackmeoff454 Před rokem +1

      @@MightBeSmart False. The royal guard does assist the police, they have an entire unit placed to do so on rotation if need be. besides doing guard duty.
      Furthermore the guard is also used in military aspects a recent example is them being stationed at bornholm They were also stationed previously at the borders doing border control.
      I advice that you dont speak on matters you have no information on, cause you clearly dont have a clue about the amount of tasks the royal guard is actually used in.
