SKINCARE ROUTINE - this is the schedule that Lucy wrote for me, that I followed for 6 weeks!
Base Routine
AM
Tatcha Cleanser
Ren Glow Tonic (Optional, perhaps every second day?)
Summer Fridays Vitamin C (If possible wait a little bit between this step and next)
Glow Recipe Plum Plump
Summer Fridays Moisturiser
Mecca Sunscreen
Optional addition of Glow Recipe Mist, just go ham and use it whenever you want as a top up!

Tatcha Cleanser
Glow Recipe Watermelon Mist (optional, if not doing rest of routine immediately/if showering etc)
Glow Recipe Plum Plump Serum
Summer Fridays Moisturiser
Go to Skincare Face Hero Oil (optional, listen to your skin)

PM Alternate V1
Go to Oil Cleanser
Tatcha Cleanser

Sunday Riley Good Genes (if possible, wait a bit between this step and next)
Glow Recipe Plum Plump Serum
Summer Fridays Moisturiser
Go to Skincare Face Hero Oil (optional, listen to your skin)
PM Alternate V2
Go to Oil Cleanser
Tatcha Cleanser
Glow Recipe Plum Plump Serum OR Watermelon mist, just need a bit of hydration and slip as the Luna Oil isn't that wet,
Sunday Riley Luna Face Oil (use enough to cover full face, rub in until the blue tint turns clear.

Remember folks, you don’t need to spend a huge amount of money to get good skincare! Watch Lucy’s video about the best AFFORDABLE skincare (under $20!!!) 👉czcams.com/video/gGce06c6Mg4/video.html
Great progress on your skin! When you love your skin it will love you back.
And also use Honey to see if there's coupons lol
thanks for posting this link! I don't have the funds for the luxury brands (though it was fun to watch) but want to invest in a skin routine that's worth doing.
Goes to show that it is worth investing in urself in smart way when down the time line it would cost u so much to use less healthy cosmetic procedures to achieve same result temporarily and it would cost thousands and skin would not be actually healthy tho, this might seem a lot but these products will last long time and it is working inside out actually making you look and feel better, younger for less money 🤑💰 , moreover it is not gonna damage ur skin like other alternatives that cost so much and changes the shape and structure of skin, be smarter and kinder to yourself so u can be better for others that you love is what I learned from Alex and I love that she is finally treating herself once in a while 💜💕🥰that inspires me to know that it is ok to take care of myself as well when I put so much effort in work and family
Yep I'm a skin nerd and am 44 so I've tried a lot of different brands and price points of skincare. Expensive doesn't necessarily mean better. I don't spend anymore than €25 on a product. The best affordable brands I've found that work are the inkey list, CeraVe, la Roche posay, Neutrogena, Vichy, superdrug brand, pixi.
Can we all just agree to normalize youtubers realizing they never finished a video that they started 7 hair cut and colors ago? I love the very non linear timeline of Alex
Lucy's face when Alex said "I was expecting it to be a grand" 😂 I'm with you, girl, some of us are not getting sponsors to pay for our skincare lol (no shade to Alex, though, it's great that she's doing this video so that we don't have to waste our money if the luxury products aren't worth it)
Hehe heck yeah
Not that she would really know if something wasn't worth the price. She's using like 10 new things all at once.
@@9melissal she seemed to have a pretty solid idea on what she liked and what she didn’t a year in so…
Well, what Alex likes and recommend is for her taste and skin only, the rest can only go after what she recommend, but all we need to do is go after what we like for our skin. For me it's the Danish brand Pure and Care (PUCA)
I was lucky enough to try their Vitamin A Rethinol day/night and eye cream + serum, now I have bought their Tea tree package with day cream, serum, toner and face foam wash + a spot roll-on if you break out. Bought that over a webpage (from the store Normal) if any Danes wonders.
So I'm looking forward to see how that helps my skin from my acne problems, (bad enough that's it's a medical issue and got a medicin against it over 8 month some years ago) So I hope it works as well af their Rethinol products.
I would love to see a budget friendly (and possibly eco-friendly?) version of a more intensive skincare routine like this - I WANT to do better for my skin (I do a cleansing bar and call it a day lol) but a routine like this is way outside of my single-parent budget >.
I would recommend you to look into inkey list and the ordinary ;) (I think they are available in most countries) their products are around 10 EUR each and you don't need a lot of them. And a cheap perfume and alcohol free cleansing oil from the drugstore is more than enough to cleanse properly and remove make up without stripping your skin barrier. These days there are a lot of budget friendly options with good formulations and working ingredients, so you it's not necessarily a compromise to get cheaper products :).
Another tip: the most researched ingredients for skincare are retinol, vitamin C and niacinamide. All the other ones are more or less a might/might not actually have an effect on skin. Do some research on how to introduce them into your skincare regime, they can be irritating because they actually change your skin! Start with low percentages and slowly work your way up.
I hope this helps
i have been using cerave. it's been great for me so far. budget friendly for sure but I'm not sure about eco-friendly..... (maybe I'll look into more earth conscious options as well.)
Beauty bay skincare is incredible and really cheap x
Second the ordinary. Their serums are really affordable. As for eco I really like upcircle - they're plastic free and they use things like discarded apricot stones and olive pits, thing that would usually be thrown away. Their moisturiser and cleansing balm is so good and a little goes a long way.
@@heranails8363 everything you said! I use retinol from the inkey and their niacinamide along with their salicylic acid cleanser. I use the ordinary hyaluronic and their natural moisturiser. I'm 33 and have seen a big improvement in skin
Sunscreen is the #1 most important thing to use. Everything is useless without that. Almost all skin aging is from UV. Trying to convince people to wear it is like pulling teeth though.
And it's one of the least expensive if you compare it to other skin products
It’s because people are used to the usual texture of sunscreen that feels like putting vegetable oil on your skin and is just awful and heavy. There aren’t a whole lot of good options that aren’t greasy and heavy.
@@beccaran I’m loving EltaMD UV lotion 30+. No smell, texture is fantastic, no white cast, no shine, and it feels like a light moisturizer.
@@beccaran I agree. As an American, the sunscreens available are just thick and feel awful. There are lots of wonderful Japanese chemical sunscreens, but I am trying to transition to reef-safe sunscreens and it’s so hard to find a decent one😭 (For anyone also on the lookout for reef-safe sunscreens, I find a lot of sunscreens will advertise as “reef-safe” but you really have to get familiar and look at the inregredients. A lot of them actually don’t contain “reef-safe” inregredients😑😑😑🙄)
@@yagiyulle I just started using Neutrogena Sport Face 70+ and it honestly works SO well for me and the latest formula contains no oxybenzone which I believe is what made it not reef-safe previously (but please do correct me if I'm wrong!) My routine is: I put it on first, let it sit for a minute, then moisturizer and let them sit for another 3 minutes. Then move onto primer and the rest of my full coverage makeup (I use a water based moisturizer and foundation).
I’d love to have Lucy give us a more affordable skincare range recommendation!! Also vegan options that she’d possibly recommend would be so nice 🧡
La roche posay is my fav for mosturizer.
Another fav is viche for face cleaning stuff.
And Clinique for either or.
Tatcha's rice wash is also amazing, although a bit on the pricey side.
Hey bb! I'm going to be putting a video out in a few hours that will have some affordable K-Beauty recs 🥰 I'm not totally sure on vegan status as it's not something I personally filter for, but I do believe a solid chunk of the brands I chat about are!
I'd advise watching Cassandra Banks for affordable and/or vegan options
My Ispy face care: Dr.Brandt clean biotic face, Cela clay mask face, Tula skincare 24-7 moisture, medik8 lipid vitamin c serum, wishful thirst trap juice serum spray, watermelon glow sleeping mask face, rose petal mask, ouai body creme etc
cassandra bankson is vegan and cruelty free and she is an incredibly knowledgeable aesthetician so i would recommend watching her! as for brands, the inkey list and the ordinary are both cruelty free and vegan and incredibly affordable and have some of my favorite products!!
thank u for letting me be my true feral rat skincare woman 🥸💖 I had so much fun!! you're now sentenced to a lifetime of me recommending skincare stuff haha 😅 here's to your permanently hydrated epidermis bb 💕
also I'll be popping up an affordable products recommendation video tonight 🥰💕
Love it! ❤️ I noticed in the comments, that quite a few people would like you Lucy, to help them with a personalised skincare routine…maybe a side gig for the girl boss, make a bit more dosh? I think it would be awesome! 😉😘 Any chance you could do a vid on sensitive skincare routine and products, without perfumes? I want to buy everything you’ve recommended here, but worried I may react to it 😊❤️
@@karenhickey1131 like do a write in for how your skin is and what you want out of it and Lucy can make a video out of it! That would be interesting
Lucy, i bought this routine because you both are so lovely and your recommendations made so much sense and my skin was so sad! I've been so so stressed lately and I needed something wonderful and this is making my skin so happy! now, i didn't buy the full sizes of everything and in the states it's less expensive, also, klarna was super helpful with payments. truly happy, thank you!
This is the perfect motivation video for me, my skin care for the last 5+ years has pretty much been "oh well, my teenage acne went away so I guess i never have to wash my face outside of showering" and I kind of figured it would take another 5 years of sunscreen and moisturizing to undo that mistake. Nope, just the right stuff, a real regimen, and I could actually have skin that looks its right age!
I love how we’re starting with a solid luxury and high end routine before trying/reviewing more affordable products. It makes so much sense. Many of them are just as good and It’s easier to judge if you start with ‘the best’ and then compare products to that. I’ve been eagerly awaiting this video! I had a very similar experience and was so excited to see Alex go through the same thing.
Regarding disbelief: When I saw this I thought, ‘the trolls will be out in full force.’ It’s frustrating but it goes like this: celebrities/influencers with no integrity use face-tune/photoshop to fake results to make money -> digital/multimedia creatives with integrity call it out -> justified outrage from the online community directed at legit integrity issues -> digital/multimedia creatives with integrity show how their first chemical exfoliant changed their skin -> some people: ‘But i’m not done being outraged. Everyone must be lying. That way, I’ll never be duped again!’
Yes to absolutely everything you said!! 👏🏻 👏🏻👏🏻❤️
I'm a licensed aesthetician and this girl knows her shit.
I had left for a while and I'm really happy she's finally doing skincare. It's super important. My moms a Dr. and started me at 12.
But, she recommended all you need to do is “use a cleanser, then a moisturiser, THEN A CLEANSER”?!?!?
That’s absolutely not what to do?!
@@rosey_ie all the products her friend got her. The way she described products and ingredients and what they do.
I’m going on 30, love everything black and keep my face and hair routine as simple as possible, I’m very introverted and very much in the quiet side. But I bloody love you and your content and get so excited when you upload 😍😅. I hope you are doing ok ❤️
I am 37 and a mom of 3 😁
I'm an esthetician and your skin looks freaking radiant. ✨
This can totally happen with the right skin products used diligently. Which clearly you did! I say skincare is the homework! You see an esthetician for one hour once a month.. the skincare at home is 85% of the work!
I always tell clients you can change your skin with JUST a good cleanser, but if you add the other stuff these results can truly happen.
Screw the haters and enjoy your beautiful glowing skin girl. You look freaking great!
Haters? Did I miss something?
@@born_confused On her Instagram she said that a lot of people accused her of using facetune. That her skin care routine was faked and her skin doesn't look that good.
then if you are you show know shes had botox aswell watch her forehead brows move in the beginning and not move at the end i love botox but why lie
@@Trolldollz Again I'm an esthetician.. and I totally support the use of injectables. I don't see this as lying, I see that it's a part of her skin care regimen 🤷♀️
@@ninarenee3956 you cant say she hasnt had botox i am a aesthetics nurse practitioner myself its very clear its botox and good skin care together but the botox has smoothed the forehead and crows feet
I didn’t realize for a long time that most of the different “acids” used in skincare products like BHAs/AHAs/retinoids cause sun sensitivity. I’m on medication that makes me more susceptible to skin cancer and skin damage, so this was terrifying to learn and realize I was really taking unnecessary risks (for myself - I am not a religious enough sunscreen re-applier for the amount of time I spend in the sun). Beginning to realize as I get older that companies do not always have my best interests at heart - and it’s important to stay educated and aware of what you’re putting on or in your body!!
I remember being told by someone working in a beauty/cosmetics department that the shaving creams are actually one of the things that dull shaving razors the most.
And I know some lip balms will actually make your lips dry and peel to make you keep using it, thinking that it's working. Because of the damage they cause, it only feels hydrated when you've got the lip balm on. But it's just going to cause them to dry out and peel again when it wears off.
Also rosehip oil because it's got high levels of vit A
I’ve been a follower and a fan of yours for several years and I just have to say that I love everything about this video. Your genuine openness to learning and letting us learn with you, your honest reviews and your general down-to-earth persona. Keep up the skincare content, especially because you seems to really like it. Lots of love from Denmark ❤️
This means so much to me, thank you!!!
The utter squeal of excitement that just left my mouth when I got the notification for this video. Watched the whole thing in one sitting and got motivated to finally do my full skin care routine tonight and not skip 5 steps out of laziness! I hope to see more skincare content from the two of you soon!! 💗
Lucy is so gentle yet assertive 😂 I want her as a life coach
And be careful when applying a mist right on top of SPF. Especially mist that contains oils, like that one you are using. It will break down the SPF layer, in the same way a oil cleanser will do. I would not use a oil mist or any kind of mist on top of sunscreen. It is best used on top of clean skin after cleansing, before HA serum.
I’ve been trying to work out if it is ok to use a moisturiser with oil before spf, such as Weleda skin food… I let it sink in before I apply… I figured that it should be ok otherwise oily skinned people would never have spf work for them
@@votepurple As an oily-skinned person, I can tell you that my oils can literally melt the SPF of my face. This is especially visible if I use mineral non-waterproof SPFs. However, I presume it is not the same as applying oil on a dry skin, because the oil will sink in the skin and you will have less on top with time, while my oils keep increasing in quantity throughout the day.
@@janew5550 I swear in the end spf if you think deeply about it is a fight we cannot win. I’m saying that as someone who is dry but lives in the humidity rich summer of England, My face is perspiring like a mofo, and have just acquired the knowledge too that sports spf doesn’t really work. I think in the end we just have to live our lives. I’ve just accepted that I’m white and cracking and that’s ok, it’s how god made me. Skin care to me is what feels good, and if I wilt then I wilt lol
@@votepurple Hahaha, so true! I feel it would be easier to find the Holy Grail than an ideal SPF. :D
@@janew5550 it is I research the real meaning of the holy grail and it’s actually an allegory for inner peace and spiritual wisdom so ironically it is LOL 😂
skin care is truly a routine. it was only about a year ago since i realized i need to stop in between certain products to allow my skin to absorb the product before moving to the next product. i must say, it's my favorite thing to do each day and it does sound silly. at night, it helps me unwind while getting ready for bed.
Dermatologist say that’s actually not necessary you don’t have to wait to go to the next steps. It’s best to do your skin care on damp skin so that it absorbs better
same here 💕
With the types of products I use in my routine, I have to stop in between to prevent the products from pilling.
I can't believe how much of a difference those products made! Your skin looks INCREDIBLE! I'm so happy you're so into skincare now and as a fellow skincare junkee I look forward to all your upcoming skincare videos!!!
Please note, the sunscreen thing varies considerably based on where you live. They live in Australia where the sun is very intense. I live in the Pacific Northwest where the sun is more of a vague concept we hear about than something we actually experience on a daily basis. Most people around here are actually deficient in Vitamin D due to the lack of sunlight.
I hope that you take extra Vitamin D 3 daily? 2,000 iu
I’m in the UK and have to take vitamin D! X
Well, I am from Finland so the sunlight is non-existent for 9 months of the year, and even in summer it is very weak compared to places like Australia. Sunscreen is still a must (excluding only the deepest depths of winter when we have polar night and the sun literally does not rise at all)! I am now 40 and my face still looks really smooth, if I say so myself. This is 99% thanks to wearing sunscreen and avoiding tanning my whole life. Even in northern places, the UV rays still find you :).
Lol, I'm pathetic. I'm in FLORIDA and my vit D is in the "seriously low" category.
@@juniperfloraclarke9816 you might have an absorption problem. I always had low vitamin d and recently i found out i have celiac disease. I also had low iron
You're probably not going to read this.. 😅 But you really motivated me to do this! I've been sick for a year now (fybromyalgie) and suffering from depression.. Hating my body for making me so sick and I wasn't nice to it.. So I felt so motivated watching this and starting to take better care of myself! I bought a skincare routine based on the things you are using and now I'm very motivated to see the results and care more for myself! Thank you! Your video's really bright up my day!
If you live in the states I recommend Good Molecules. Very affordable stuff and fun serums
Sometimes it bothers me when other YT'ers don't post "in real time," but the order in which Alex shares her backlog of videos just makes sense to me. It feels strategic and well thought out. I really appreciate the longer videos - again, so well thought out.
Also out of curiosity, anyone know if Alex still has her 9-5 job? Or just YT?
I was literally wondering the same thing about the job.
I believe Alex once mentioned in a video that she did/does freelance photography.
Apparently she has something done to her boobs so that could explain her not uploading a lot for a few months again.
Same thing happened during the nose job era.
Just speculations of course but she confirmed that something was done to make her boobs look extra good during fashion week.
I remember her having an office desk job, some of her hauls mentioning business casual specifically..but that was years ago! >
The before and after literally made me audibly gasp 😳 WOW!!!
You’re skin is glowing 😍 it’s so juicy and bright
OKAY I’m officially inspired to get into skincare more now, everything Lucy recommended for your skin specifically was so on point and thoughtfully curated. Incredible!!
Starting to finally get a lil more serious about my skincare routine. Got the Sunday Riley Luna and CEO Glo as well as the Tatcha The Water Cream to round out my routine. Already have a few other products in hand so I can see if I still like them for cleansing and such. Fantastic vid and I'll totally watch more of your skincare vids. We're in a similar boat about being really bad about using skincare so I totally can relate and appreciate the time you put into it.
Wow Lucy is so great at explaining what it all is and what I does!! I'm so clueless about skincare, it was all so interesting and informative👍
I love this content Alex! I love the long form content, you make it feel like you are talking to a friend. I am very excited about the affordable skin care version for the broke college kid(me)!
Gotta love being able to carbon date when a PPP video was filmed based off of Alex's hair haha
Alex's hair here looks perfect, red roots and pastel pink is such a vibe
I basically waited till my 59th birthday to do this very same thing. To be honest I kind of gave up on my skin after having so many skin cancer surgeries. But now, with the inspiration of CZcamsrs like James Welsh, Cassandra Bankson, Wayne Goss and John Maclean, I have to say that I've been doing a solid skincare routine religiously for the past 2 months (mostly Shiseido) and I can honestly tell you that my experience has been similar. Surface dehydration is real, and l want to let people know that it's never too late to start!
I've been waiting for this video to drop ever since you mentioned it in your last one! Yay! 😊
This is amazing!! I'm excited to see the affordable one as well. Talk about a glow up!
I loved the year later update as well, it's great to see you actually continue to use the products and give an overall review. Talk about dedication!
Loved all of it!! It’s good information for many. Learning the steps is so important! Thanks for the detailed content Alex 🥰
I LOVE how good about yourself and your skin you are feeling at the end of this video Alex!! Skincare is about results yes, but also about selfcare and confidence💪😍. DO NOT LET A$$HOLE$ ON THE INTERNET TAKE THAT AWAY FROM YOU!
As a skin care nerd and material scientist I applaud Lucy🦄 for getting you hooked on sunscreen!!! SPF is you BFF!!🦋
holy cow this inspired me so much to actually get some skin care, that is wild. You look so good and all done up, like when you went for the event and Lucy did your make up, even barefaced you look legit like a supermodel it's insane. We all need a friend like Lucy, well done girls. Wow.
The dedication for this video, I applaud you!!! Those results are amazing. So glad Lucy talked you into hydrating that beautiful skin!
Lucy's skin is definitely beautiful and I have to agree with her about your skin being dehydrated, I've been bad with moisturizing lately and when I do use it my wrinkles drink it up and disappear. However, comparing myself to my daughter who's in her late 30s complains that she has more wrinkles than me, but I rarely smile (bad habit) so I don't have facial lines from smiling so in my old age wisdom a happy life can cause wrinkles so don't fret over them. Keep smiling and enjoying life because you're beautiful with those tiny lines. And I'm definitely not saying Lucy smiles less, she just obviously is great at skin care!
I used to be realllyyy into skinscare, but over the past year depression and what not, didn't feel like doing shit anymore and I really have noticed my skin looks worse. This motivated me to get back on the skin care, I haven't felt excited about it in a while and used to truly love it. I am going to try again!! :) Love this video and appreciate all the work you put into it
Oh my gosh this was such a good breakdown of products and what they do! Lucy explains things so well :)))
This actually taught me so much about my skin and how to help some things I noticed and felt embarrassed about. Loved this video so much.
Thank you Alex and Lucy!!
I absolutely love when you do these super long videos! I could watch you for hours and enjoy it all! I've been learning about skincare more recently and trying to create a routine that works for me, so this was so interesting to watch and some of these are definitely going on my wish list for when I get paid next!
I'm so excited to watch more of your skincare content - so please don't listen to any naysayers and keep sharing - it's all so helpful and fun to watch.
Curious to ask - have you tried going to have a facial or some other treatment as a part of your skincare journey? It all sounds relaxing and luxurious but I'm not sure if I trust that it actually had an impact?
SPF is the best thing you can do in your skincare routine. I highly recommend the La Roche-Posay Anthelios UVmune 400 Moisturizing Cream SPF 50. It's new and has a new filter that blocks out that upper 400 level of UVA rays which no other sunscreen can. I does have a great luxurious feel on the skin. I ordered it from Amazon UK. Your skin is looking gorgeous!
Yes!! You know the latest and greatest sunscreen tech.
💯💯💯
this could not come at a better time im coming into my mid 20's and im starting to see a change in my skin if i even miss a day or two of skincare and i need to get my shit together and a proper routine so bless this video ahhhh
This is the most in depth, useful and engaging skin care video I’ve ever watched, I am so excited to try some of these products
Oh wow your skin is looking so good now! Thanks for sharing your journey and showing us which products you love.
Honestly, just the first night difference I was impressed for you. I'm so glad this worked so well for you, you also just seemed to be so much happier as the time progressed!
(Also thank you for adding the bit about the year gap lol I was trying to guess by the hair updates tbh aha)
I really enjoyed the video though and am very interested to try to the sunscreen at the very least!
I’m so happy for her! I remember she would be so sad about her saggy under eyes and I wanted to scream through the screen “that’s something that can fix! You just need to learn more about skincare!”
I really enjoyed this video, I can see a big difference in your skin, I thought you were beautiful before but now you look glowy and radiant! Definitely looking forward to more skincare content! 💗
This video was AMAZING ! I have watched it twice to make sure I haven't missed a single advice! And the timing was incredible as I just started getting back to a more serious skin care routine literally 3 days ago, thank you !
I recommend going to a dermatologist to discuss skincare needs and wants (and of course to get a skin checkup). Using a prescribed retinoid, like Tretinoin, will work wonders for the skin and could even lessen the cost of skincare. I use Tretinoin one night and Timeless Vitamin C serum the other night in conjunction with drugstore skincare, and my skin has never looked better. Pro tip for any other Americans is to not buy the retinoid at the dermatologist but rather get it from your pharmacist. Tretinoin was around $90 at my dermatologist but only $10ish from the pharmacist. It didn't come in as nice of a package, but I'll sacrifice packaging to save that amount of money.
How did you get the prescription to get it from the pharmacist? Or are you saying the derm writes the script but then you pick it up at the pharmacy rather than buying it directly from the derm (?) Cuz that sounds like a great deal
@@genksmith the dermatologist sent a prescription over to the pharmacy for me. I know the prices will fluctuate depending on insurance, but I've found that I can get most things cheaper than what the dermatologist sells them for.
@@crystalpolice Ah ok, thank you!
I'm so glad you're loving skincare now! 👏🏻
I love Korean skincare. Its my fave by far. My hubby brought me 2 bags full when he went to Korea to work, bless his heart. I'm currently trying everything to see what's my faves.
I'm a real skincare junkie, but I don't buy super expensive stuff, and I won't ever. I don't see the necessity tbh.
Btw your skin looks absolutely gorgeous, so keep it up! 💖🏴
Yesssss I'm so excited for more skin care content!!!! Alex you look great! And most important so happy.
love that you're uploading skincare content literally the same month im starting to get into skincare yes please and thank you queen
when i saw the length of this video, i was like "... we have been blessed upon this day" and then i watched the whole thing while doing my own skincare. I'm very easily distracted and spent most of the time watching the screen but you make the time pass so wonderfully ❤️
I LOOOOOOVE THIS! So looking forward to the other videos, and hope to see more of Lucy as well - she's just lovely!
Cheers for this, Alex. Really useful. I've got a room full of skincare and no idea which order/sequence to use them in so a massive help.
So many videos in such a short time?!?! We have truly been blessed 😭😭😭
This inspired me to moisturise my face, I need to do it more often. I’m gonna be better with it from now on.
Such an informative and long video!! I live for that 🥰🥰 also your skin looks amazing!!! 🥰 and Archie is just too cute 🥰
This video was so helpful to me! I've tried figuring out what to do with adding to my simple skincare routine but seeing effective products and the process really aids me in learning.
The faulty bottle could have been replaced but..."that involves leaving the house". Been there! :D
btw, I am jealous of that sunscreen, it's so hard to find a good one!
Bondisands factor 50 face spf is amazing! No white case moisturising but light weight and it’s like £7! I don’t use anything else because nothing compares
@@jennifernorman2000 Thanks, I'll have to check it out, hopefully it's "the one" for me, lol
This is one of the best skin care videos I’ve seen. Thank you for editing all of your footage and making this video. I love many of the products you use but would love to try the Mecca sun care. There’s an Australian brand that we can by in the USA /Europe and it’s Ultra Violet. It’s a really good line of skin care with SPF.
Thank you so much!!!
This is honestly one of the best skincare videos I've seen! I love how you commit to a routine over such a long period of time and keep a vlog of it. I also love a luxury haul.
It would be wonderful if you could do a video with more affordable products and compare them! This one feels a little overwhelming in costs and I'd love to see which products are worth investing in and which products you find can be replaced with dupes/drug store versions.
Miss Lucy knows her stuff !!! Thank you for this helpful video ❤
Hearing you raving about the vitamin c on your forehead made me give it a try whilst watching this video. I had a bottle that I don’t really use. It totally gave an instant plumping effect. I’m 52 so it may take longer to have a lasting effect but I’m going to give it a go. Thanks Alex.
Lucy could sell me anything. I want all these things even though I'm pretty comfortable with my skincare routine lol
I loved the video! It's exciting to see you so passionate about the content you're making and I even learned some things. Looking forward to the next one!
Thank you so much for posting! Yes please more skin care content!
I have all of the same problems with my skin and I would LOVE a more affordable routine from Lucy.
Few tips, before I watch further. Maybe it will be mentioned later. But HA serum needs to be applied on damp skin. Damp from water or damp from toner/mist. Otherwise it may start to pull water from the skin itself.
I really enjoyed this video! I really learned something about what skincare can do for someone. I'm excited to try some of these products!
The results in this video are actually amazing Alex! So happy for you and your new love of skincare 🥰
Lucy drop us a broke girl routine! I wish I could afford this routine. Amazing results!
i got u bb! I'm uploading a video in a few hours with some k-beauty product recs all under $20! And tbh if you want to keep it really streamlined and simple just cleanser, moisturiser, sunscreen and a remover if you use makeup/sunscreen is all you need!
@@LucyLivinYT thank you so much! Going to watch your channel now 💖
I got the tatcha cleanser as a sample and i was so happy to see it on this video because i had the same reaction when i first used the cleanser it actually started to clear up my acne too
I’ve been waiting for this video for MONTHS! I was so excited to see it when I came home today!!
I LOVE this! It's so joyful to see anyone learning something beneficial, but it's especially fun when you get good skincare recs out of it too:):):) I had an aunt with eczema come visit recently, and I took the opportunity to pile skincare gifts on her. She told me this is the first time in a long while her face isn't itchy and painful. I about teared up! By the way, this video made me anxious about my skin, I paused the video and went to cleanse and put a moisture treatment mask on:)
Your face when Lucy said her entire face peeled off 😂 I was crying with laughter x
Darnit I'm early thank you this gives me a reason to lay on the sofa for a bit longer ☺️
I've been waiting for this video for so long! I recently got into skincare and I'm so excited for tips and tricks and new routines.
omggg i love lucy’s metaphors. it’s so goood
This makes me miss when i used to do skincare everyday. My skin was used to actives and felt really nice. Due to mental health i stopped and now i'm sitting here with irritated itchy skin due to using 3 products yesterday 💀
I used to have a super long skincare routine and I started cutting it down when I quit filming beauty reviews. If you have combo-oily skin w texture I highly recommend First Aid Beauty Radiance pads. They made all the difference and I only need to use once a week.
They're even great for dry, flaky skin! They're worth the price for sure.
I am in love with this!! Definitely got me thinking about starting a routine of my own
I'm always looking to try new skincare products and bought most of the ones you used/recommended! I've been using them for a month now, I had no acne but very dull skin and my skin is absolutely glowing thanks to this video! Thank you so so much♡
As someone with a lot of sensory issues I am on the other end of the fragrence argument :) I already can't deal with the feeling of such products, I do not also want to have to deal with a migraine starting smell! Also many people with sensitive skin react to fragrences, so that is also something to keep in mind.
As someone with really temperamental skin (which likes to react to stress 🙃) I hope this video will teach me at least something that'll help me fix this fleshy shell of mine
I feel that. Stress is turning my whole body upside down OvO. Sending you good vibes dear internet stranger
"Fleshy shell" I love it! Thanks for making me giggle!
@@Hopischwopi Good vibes to you too!
@@merlinsmama1600 Just doing my job 😊
Been waiting so long for this!! So excited 🌷🌷
this was probably my favorite skincare review video of all time and i’ve watched a LOT. it made me feel really inspired to actually commit to my skincare routine and to also do more research about the order in which my routine is set up!! thank you so much, your video was lovely as always but this one especially blew me away.
This makes me so happy!!!! Thank you so much!! 🥰
As a mom of 3 kids that are 6 , 3 1/2, and 1 , I don't even wash my body everyday so the thought of washing just my face 2 times a day is mind boggling.
Yay! I used alot of skin care and ended up falling back on a hyaluronic acid serum, and moisturizer. I've found that helps alot with fine lines. Although I've yet to find one cleanser that doesnt break me out. Thanks for another great video alex! 😊❤ btw if anyone can reccomend a good white head remover let me know.
Not sure what skin type you are but when I was breaking out like crazy, the Andalou Citrus Kombucha gel cleanser helped out. Since having a normal skin care routine I now use the I use it once a week and use their creamy lemon cleanser daily. The only thing I recommend is use a smaller amount of the citrus kombucha as it does have willow bark (salicylic acid) that can be intense on sensitive skin if left on for too long. I also love that Andalou is super affordable, and have clean/natural ingredients.
Hope that helps!
@@ashleylarman897 Thank you so much! I have dry skin and I'll try out your recommendation! 🥰 The only one that didnt make me break out was honey one walmart has discontinued 😔
@@ashleylarman897 I love seeing people mention Andalou because they're my absolute favorite skincare brand!
Anything with 5-10% benzoyl peroxide is the best for whiteheads. It really dries them right out. I like la roche posay’s benzoyl peroxide.
@@lolofunslayer4953 thank you so much! I've been using a witch hazel toner that works but I really hate the smell of it lol and that's why I want to switch. 😂❤
Yay! I'm so excited for this content!
(LOVE any type of video you post though!) 🥰
Oh my gosh this whole video was soooo great so well done the explanations were so on point the at home skin care lady in me was in absolute heaven Lucy’s explanations were so easy to follow and the dropper thing I scream that from the mountain tops at my friends when we talk about skin care I love this video 💗💗💗
When I first saw the thumbnail I was sceptical. Then I saw your stories on instagram and I am shocked how invasive and offensive people could be. And I also am shocked how good all of these products worked on your skin. As Lucy said, you look so healthy. Personally, I am a person with oily skin and I HATE looking shiny oder glowy but it suits you and one can see that you are feeling good and are content with the routine. Stay with everything that makes you happy.
I loved the video and all the information and Lucy and you together - it’s a vibe.
Lots of love, stay strong and keep going. ❤️
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!! 🥰
i wish i had Lucy here to help me with my skin care. she is just a sweet person and i would feel like i was actually being helped rather then being sold a bunch of stuff i dont really need like i have been given all the times i have tried.
@Holly Moffat Are you in Scotland?
I’m SO excited to see more skin care stuff from you! 🥺 I would love to see you try out cera ve products! If you can have them shipped to Australia.
Also, Alex you’re like the best student and Lucy is such a good teacher. Y’all have such a good dynamic 🥺
Lucy and Alex, can you do a version of this with more affordable products?
Agreed! Would love a follow up video explaining the ingredients to look for for each product with some affordable/easy to obtain options.
I'm one of those people who is allergic to scents. I don't wear makeup because I'm either allergic to the scent or something in it irritates my skin. I stick to LaRoche Posay sunscreen and their lipikar eczema cream with the occasional face scrub, but I don't remember the brand because a tube lasts me a year or so. I'm lucky to have generally good skin but I also stay out of the sun because even with sunscreen I may turn crispy.
Hands down the best skincare video I've seen. Amazing in-depth explanation from Lucy and just loved watching your journey! Love seeing more Aussie creators on my feed so have just subbed to you both 🥰
Off to watch your Glow Recipe review because I adore their stuff 😁
Thoroughly enjoyed this video! Great work ladies! Lucy rocks 👏💗
Wow! What an enormous difference! You aged backwards! It was expensive, but I mean...still cheaper than all the procedures people use to look younger! I'm just starting my skincare journey. I currently have wrinkles and pimples, so it's been...interesting lol.
This made me get out of bed, brush my teeth, and do my skincare for the night. Wonderful video 💕 Also, did you ever figure out your skin type?
Saaame!
