Sorry for your loss mate.
This is always my go to recommendation for new players and there must be 5 of them on our team here. 3600NT (100 quid) is cheaper than all the pistols I've bought here...
Did you replace the whole trigger set with the RA Tech kit? I put it in my original FCG after I wore down the original sears and it always seemed a bit sticky on the reset, so I put a teammates donated original FCG on mine.
Valve striker wore down on my original and now on my replacement so I'll be doing a video of transplanting the RATech enhanched striker from my old FCG to the newer one soon.
Also had the brittle mag issues with two of my four mags breaking the screw retainer tabs that hold in the gas cartridges at the base. And shedding the connector studs. I've just taped mine together solidly in pairs now to make it easier, although I only tend to carry one pair in the gun for fast changeovers because the mags are a ballache for pouches (HSGI tacos work well for single ones).
I broke the front end of the gas nozzle twice doing full auto in tropical heat, and then sheared the back end of the nozzle and seal o-ring off once, but now I have about 3 different nozzle set ups to mix and match parts from, and a spare bolt. Broke the charging handle off twice rough handling it, might get the RATech one of those too. And the bolt stop and related magazine tabs have worn a bit on mine but all still work great thus far.
Besides all of the wear I've imparted on it (mainly because I love it and have used it as my go to for so long due to reliability, recoil and accuracy using 0.3g BLS BBs) it's still an awesome workhorse and dirt cheap, easy to service and repair.
I've probably put the best part of 15-20,000 rounds through mine here, although it's hard to keep count.
Rest In Peace Pete! 🙏
Did i miss something?
@@DzasterNL yes, the intro
The G36 by WE, also our recommendation for the gbb community.
Our condolences for Pete. May he rest in peace.
Looking into getting a gbbr is this Better than the Ghkm4?
@@checkmate058 It really depends on how you look at how you define better. The GHK m4 has some big advantages that the G36 by WE doesn't have. The GHK m4 can use the Devilhunter mod. This is modifying a greengas mag so it can accept co2 which the G36 can not, it will blow up the magazine. Parts availability is also very good for the GHK m4. However, the WE G36 does score really well for it's value. It's not darn expensive. They go between 200-250 euros while a GHK m4 will go for about 600 euros and higher.
@@checkmate058 also if you want a cheaper way into GHKs then you could always go for a G5 as the mags are compatible.
The ghk g5
The WE G36
And the WE Mp5
Are all good starter gbbrs in my book.
@@James-C24 kinda had my heart set on a m4 platform coming from real firearms and loving realism. But this review threw a little wrench into that when he raved about that other design.
@@checkmate058 ive got a ghk m4 and its a great gun. Not fired it yet out on the field but i gassed the mags up left them for about 7 to 9 months got it out a few days ago. Mags still full of gas and it ran like a train. No bbs as i was indoors but its a great reliable platform. If budgets an issue start with a g5 and build up a collection of mags or carry on saving and go for the m4. Either way with a GHK you wont ever be disappointed. You also won't need to do any upgrades to them really certainly not out the box.
Just dont by a WE if it takes an M4 style mag just dont their shite. Ive had more issues than id care to mention with my we 416. Unless of course you want a PDW then the we pdws arent bad but i think they have proprietary mags.
Although ive heard of QC issues on the new ghks so that's something to bear in mind.
RIP Pete (Pedro) Andrew
I was lucky to come out the other side of cancer.. 🙏🏼
Best of luck to anyone dealing with such times
I'm really sorry for your loss. Having lost a few friends over the years it's always weird what stuff about them sticks with you and what things bring nice memories of them.
Grate review! I've still not got myself a WE g36, I really should as they are cheap and it would make for a grate indoors or loaner gbbr for letting friends use as who wants to use an AEG (in the words of a pal of mine who came airsofting with me the other weekend 'I'm not using the silly hand blender sound gun it's not fun). I think the only thing putting me off is how much I just don't like the design of the G36 having a strong leaning towards more classic looking (really old) blasters... That said I could make one look like something from dominion tank police...
Thanks Jess. Even little things we remember about them, jokes and stories they told. All those moments will eventually be lost in time like tears in the rain. - Roy Batty.
I know what you mean. Its a very modern looking blaster. I was never much into them but over time they've really grown on me. I think you'll really love how it runs, its a pleasure to shoot. Oh yes, AEG's...how dull!
Condolences for your loss.
PDI makes a replacement striker btw, steel, very good.
My condolences for your loss dude. It’s never easy to lose people close to us. But unfortunately such is the circle of life. Best thing we can do is keep our heads up high and cherish our memories with them. It’s cool that this hobby helps you remember the good times you’ve had with Pete. It’d sure do the same for me if I lose any airsoft friends.
Bout the rifle: the G36 platform has always been a gorgeous rifle to me, and the original CoD 4 back in 2007 made me fall in love with this gun. I’ve always wanted a g36c since, and I had a crappy “dual power” one lol but it’s high time I get a better one. This will absolutely be the one I choose. I’m already picturing how I’d want to doctor one up: an aimpoint comp sight, flashlight on the side rail, a working PEQ red laser in front of the optic, maybe a vertical grip underneath, one of those Laylax external bolt release levers if I can find em, and perhaps a tracer unit suppressor. That’d make this an incredible tactical indoor blaster for me. Not being able to drop my mags for speed loads would bum me out a bit but I can sure get over that.
Thanks for the videos as always man, can’t wait to see more as always, cheers! ☕️
Thanks brother.
Oh yes. That game was amazing!!
The follow-up games were too complicated and there was far too much choice. COD4 was basic and that made it interesting.
Sounds like a good idea.
Well, you shouldn’t be dropping GBB mags anyway ;-) too bloody expensive to risk it.
Glad you enjoyed the video. You’re very welcome, it has been a long-time coming.
@@BadaBingPictures no problem man 👍🏻
And yeah! That game is what got me into more realistic modern military FPS games. CoD has fallen flat on its face a lot recently but I love the new modern warfare. I love the variety of gun customization and the gunplay itself. Having modes that are more simplistic like Cod4 would be very cool though.
And haha yeah I know 😅 I used to drop my m9 mags all the time and eventually only one of them started leaking. I’m lucky nothing else happened to them lol. Practicing tac reloads without dropping them is key however. Having good pouches will allow for a faster reindex of the mag to the pouch. But now when I get into rifles I’m for sure gonna have to keep in mind the added weight falling to the ground if I drop them.
And hell yeah dude! I always enjoy the videos. Love the way you do em! 👍🏻
Hey Badabing, sorry for your loss bro! Always missing your posts!

I had heard of various new bits available to the Marui M4 system but these days I’ve moved on from that platform.

Hah! Neck back a few for me.
@@BadaBingPictures The new bolt is first of all for lightness for winter like your uac number, secondly for a faster rate of fire and lastly for the looks - gorgeous geissele dark desert earth with the logo. It also completes my urgi build, less charging handle.
Like your vid style. We need u to bring us more other gbb review!!! It'd be awesome.
Thanks buddy, thrilled you're enjoying the material.
I'm slowly working my way through my to-do list. Takes me ages to make just one of these, but I think it's worth it.
Anyone who has ever shot a G36, either a fake one or a real one will tell you, if you have to touch the charging (NO) maintenance handle outside of maintenance, youre using it wrong. The g36 is meant to cut costs. It cheap to produce because of the polymer, the real magazines are less than 5 quid each, its easy to take apart and maintain, and on top of it all, using it get so much easier once you discover the secrets of the bolt release. If youre a right hand shooter, lay your left hand around the magwell, such that the gun rests on your left thumb with the bolt release and give it a fiststrike on top of the buttstock with your right hand and the bolt carrier will jump forward. Similarly you can also angle it 45 degrees to your left (positive mathematical sense, negative clockwise) and you can also use your right hand and fiststrike the right side of the gun to release the bolt. If youre a boring man, you can also just release with your left hand by tilting your left hand away from you.
Rest in peace brother
Another great video, I don't know why but I do have a soft spot for the G36 with different hand guards (I have the grenade launcher one) and the upper rail can be changed for the scope in rail one, on a different note if you ever want to do a video on the KC02 (best DMR Gbbr) you could always borrow mine (I'm always passing by your way), for that matter I'd even lend you my new GHK AK74M
We are still young...

@@BadaBingPictures thank you comrade
If I were to buy one of these the biggest question would be which variant to go for. I suppose given the extremely competitive pricing (along with getting the most from your mag's) the argument could easily be both. A great review and definitely food for thought.
Condolences for your loss, it's never easy losing people you care about.
They used to make K and E upgrade packs so you could upgrade your C if you had one already. KY Airsoft can provide the spare parts so you could build whatever you wanted.
I never touched the K variant but Pete owned the E version as well. It was lovely having that full sized G36. Added a little bit more weight and that naturally soaked up the recoil so it wasn’t as hard as the C. Still, it was badass.
Depends on where you see yourself playing.
Thanks for watching, mate.
Cheers for your kind words also.
@@BadaBingPictures appreciate the heads up, I'll have a look and see what I can find out.
I'm leaning towards the C as I do a fair amount of CQC stuff but I don't think I've ever seen the Helstodt (spelling probably wrong) dual optic on a C. Admittedly that's not an issue but I'd part with my TM G36K and keep the sight as they're hard to find.
@@FreeFragUK The C works out fantastic in close quarters so it’s got a great loud bark and snappy too. Trouble is the stock over here for any gas G36 is a bit limited.

As every WE gun in our airsoftteam broke, even the expensive RA Tech tuned one which cost around 1000 €, i started to hate this company for eternity. There where: the ak47u, m16a1 vietnam, smg 8, around 4 Glock 18c. Every single gun of these broke and lacked extremely in therms of cooldown. WE go to hell!
I’m the same with VFC. At least WE guns have a high chance of working out of the box. VFC doesn’t bother finishing them in the first place.
Personally I’ve never had a bad WE gun. And any parts required are plentiful and cheap, no complaints here.
Most WE Guns absolutely suck, youre absolutly right. The Ar15 receiver parts are so unfathomably soft, once broke the fittings of the dust cover right of by just closing the dust cover. To be fair, the we g39 ist one of the best WE rifles performance wise regarding hop, gas efficiency, and body reliability (that I even have to say that). But long term everything brakes. There are even parts in the antiquated trigger groups which make no sense (this little silver thingy which traps the striker and when worn out jams the gun, until you remove it completely - which changes nothing...).
The other guns are so abysmal in terms of cooldown, won't even start in this department.
@@BadaBingPictures did you ever try out a KWA lm4? these have rock solid internals ootb which last forever, so initial flaws have been ruled out quite fast by the company, gas efficiency is with the best gbbr rifles and you can even fire the gun reliably sideways (not that it makes sense most times because of the hop up).
So many people are mocking the hop up systems, but its actually quite good once you understand how it works (which most people doesnt seem to bother with and complain all over the internet). With the maple Leaf hop rubbers and the stock assembly its very good for a gas gun indeed.
@@marcelschultz4033 I haven't tried the KWA LM4. But to be honest with you I have no need to. Not when I have the GHK and TM M4's.
The LM4 doesn't offer me anything more than those other platforms.
Plus they're not very well supported where I am, so it wouldn't be a wise investment.
@@BadaBingPictures You can get mostly all parts from rainbow8 in taiwan or from the kwa pro shop, which both are fast and reliable. I'am kind of a KWA advocate here in germany for the lm4 since the beginning (we first got it in 2016, years after release afterhaving to tinker endlessly with WE crap ARs).
I also repair GBB rifles as hpbby for the gbb community, especially KWA stuff. Its compared to all the other systems the most reliable one with the best low temperature gas efficiency. I play mine since 2016 exclusively as my primary gun, as a side note.
Way ahead of VFC and WE and absolutely in the league with GHK (which I also like), but with a little bit more refined and quality internals stock.
Was just interested if you ever tried one, since you had some trouble with vfcs and stuff. cheers
15 years ago...I'm gonna be old in the corner.
Thanks Bud 👍🏻
6:35 ironic considering the German military sued HK in real life over the fact the magazines used to just fall out from time to time
Also had one for quite a long time, it's still alive and kicking, but sadly something weird has happened to auto-fire, it's tripping a lot there, while single fire works like a clock, haven't really got there yet. I also have quite an early model, so yeah, taping the barrel nut to have a better outer barrel fix is required and the hop-up unit was actually really crappy, I was needed to shim the hop-up arm (notch was actually too small for the stock nub, so it was applying too much pressure on the rubber), then with a new rubber it wasn't enough, so I've exchanged the nub with H-nub and it's working great and became perfectly aligned (some other nubs I've tried were inclined to tilt in a single direction, so hop-up was also uneven and that hurts accuracy big time). Absolutely agree on that the gun is probably the best entry ticket to the world of GBBRs - pretty affordable, while maintaining a descent level of quality.
I just cut off the side tabs and remove the bottom plate of the mags to make them easier to index in my mag pouches
The most wholesome video I've seen so far this year.
Perfect way to end it, may Pete rest in peace.

If these were in stock anywhere in Canada I might have picked one up instead of an MWS MK18 for 950CAD. I also noticed in the tear down there was a rubber buffer to absorb some of the shock of the bolt hitting the receiver. Why this isn't standard on most GGBR's like the GHK G5 is beyond me. My Kwa VZ.61 has something similar and the thing its rock solid, whilst I read that MP7 and MP9 polymer bodies crack all the time.
Hey Badabing! So guess what, I bought a WE G36c from taiwangun on black friday and 4 extra mags. (In no small part thanks to your praise.) But TBH thanks to the bad luck I had with my two latest buys (WE Apache A3 and LCT G3) I dreaded it. And then the gun came and I inspected it tip to butt (just how the navy likes it - if you're a Garand Thumb fan ;-) ) and I could find no flaw and also no mags leak. Literally the only two small complaints I had was that the bolt release button was stiff and not all mags clicked in that positively, you have to go in in an angle towards the back. And then I've put two BBs through a chronograph, the first came out at 130m/s the second 129m/s (in around 20°C (68F)). WHAT THE HELL, that's DMR territory, around 1.7J! Your chrono results are much lower and taiwangun also showed 1.2J on the product page. Do you know what's going on? Does the gun need some sort of a break-in period? It came soaked in silicone oil, does that need to clear out or something?
Hi mate,
Congrats on your new blaster! How are you liking it so far?
Yes the bolt release is very stiff, thats just how it is. I really want to get my HK extended bolt release fitted but I just don't have the time atm.
In regards to the DMR speeds, thats pretty typical of units direct from Taiwan. Others can arrive which feature EU nozzles and those kick out friendlier readings. Mine may be one of those EU nozzles with longer tabs on the rear nozzle half that push the cylinder farther forward.
The one which originally came with mine was a green nozzle, must have been a generational improvement -although it had an FG 20% Restrictor disc *AND* an NPAS! Completely strangled the gas system where it performed terribly.
Seeing as I had an earlier nozzle which was completely stock I swapped them over and thats the one I used for this review.
No breaking -in required to be honest. Clear out any silicone that may have seeped into the chamber and away you go. It doesn't ask much from you, just gas and go.
@@BadaBingPictures Yes, but taiwangun.com is a store in Poland so I expected 1.2J from the gun. Anyway, I'm gonna have to do something with it... I may look around on kyairsoft, do they respond to emails if I ask them?
THB those 2 rounds through the chrono are the only ones fired by the gun. When it arrived my city was under a 2nd round of lockdown, which ended successfully last weekend (well, realtively, infection rate dropped 1‰) but now the weather is pretty bad so I can only admire the gun for now. And it looks surprisingly good. Much better than it's price would suggest.
I've seen a "tactical bolt release" on begadi, which would probably help, but it's out of stock :-/ They also have a nozzle set so I'm going to ask them. My nozzle is a strange grey colour, I don't know what is up with that. Some people say that the NPAS is not very stable so I'm not eager to fit one of those in the nozzle.
Oh right. I've never bought from taiwangun so I wasn't aware.
They responded to my messages on FB and IG, give it a shot.
Ah yes. You're right about the grey colour, mine is the same but I see it as green as my eyes have a hard time with colours. I would rather cut the chrono readings with a different inner barrel rather than cut off the gas with an NPAS.
@@BadaBingPictures That's a good idea, because then I could go for a crazy jet, those work well for me in 3 other guns. Any suggestion on what length I should try? I know I've asked you before about the usual speed gains/losses with one unit of barrel length/diameter change and I swear, this time I'll write your response down. Social media is not ideal to search previous comments.
You should check out taiwangun, they have pretty good prices and fast shipping (at least inside the EU, IDK if brexit changed anything for you guys). And their black friday deals were real. And their staff is helpful. Unfortunately they don't have as many gas blowback stuff as for ex airsoftpro.cz
@@BadaBingPictures I can buy a crazy jet from a local store but should I go for the 200mm or the 180 or even lower? The 150 is out of stock, but there's a 138. They are all 6.04 just like the stock barrel (at least if you can believe what taiwangun says about the stock barrel, I'm too afraid to stick calipers into an inner barrel, I may scratch it).
That is not bad for that one part is the only to break. Which means parts are easy since it is a known issue but since other companies make steel versions for that part that means this is a really great gun.
Thinking of my homie Fishstick watching this. He rocked a G36.
To Fishstick and Pete! **Raises glasses**

I just had to have some German decoration for the table. I've just got some Lebkuchen as well, so the next H&K GBB will have that ;-)
I haven't had the pleasure of the VFC G36. It looks great.
@@BadaBingPictures Well, the pleasure of VFC is using RS parts and assemble to KA4 configuration, which is the wildest dreams you can get for a G36 .
The problem VFC is the same old problem ,you hardly get support parts once production ceased, just like dirivng a Lancia sometimes
I dont know it is kind of sorrow seeing such ppl leaving us, either ito the eternal life or other reasons they have. However, I would always be glad know ppl playing airsoft and caring others like that
rip pete 😢
also at 1445 it looks like ur muzzle is spinning itself off
Thanks bud.
You know, Pete would’ve noticed that too. And definitely would’ve made fun of me for not tightening it up. “Mate, that’s not supposed to spin. Is it?”
Man i love this replica unfortinately i cant get extra mags.
It’s excellent, isn’t it.
They’re out there. Cast a wider net. Asia has everything you’ll ever need.
I’ve have a electric one before just ordered my first gas one, I also have a co2 glock 17 n that’s powerful, rip mate x
my first ever gun when i started, but it was a AEG tho
Great review. There is an Army Armament version which is a cheaper version of the WE version and requires the "upgrade" parts quicker due to breaking. Would be worth seeing a video of that for comparison.
Hi bud,
Thanks for watching. Glad you liked it!
I've seen the Army version and I'd like to look at a comparison but I just don't have the budget nor the time to dedicate to it. I hear their magazines are considerably heavier than the WE. So I would rather buy the WE magazines and save on weight, even though they're likely to be more expensive.
I have one of these and love it. Modified mine to a G36K A3, shooting 400 fps with .20g bbs. Only issue I have with mine is it eats the nozzle o-ring might be a issue with the ra tech nozzle but the stock nozzle shoots too hot for the fields I play at.
Sorry for your loss man.
On the bright side, I see you replaced the toblerone
Thanks mate.
Yeah...right...about the Toblerone......boy are you in for a surprise.
Hey Badabing! Always awesome to watch one of your videos. And you've made this one just for me, I've asked for it a few weeks ago and there it is ;-)
I have a question, I think I've seen in one of these game footages one with a carry handle with the integrated optics although I can't find it again by scolling through. Anyway, do you know if it can take one of those AEG carry handles with integrated optics? You see for me it doesn't have to be such a precise replica, a WE G36c with one of those carry handles would be a good enough Stargate gun.
So sorry for your loss man! Unfortunately our airsoft goup has also lost a comrade a couple of years ago, it's horrible, he was also too young to pass away.
Thrilled to hear you enjoyed my video.
Thanks bro.
Yes, I’m my gameplay footage I was actually using the old classic scoped G36 carry handle. (Although just out of shot)
Can’t remember the brand but it was for an AEG and it bolted on perfectly.
Sorry to hear that. Awful, just awful.
Always a reminder to take as many photos and videos as you can.
I am very sorry, he looks like such a nice guy
Thanks buddy.
He was the best. Really enjoyed playing Rainbow 6 Vegas on the Xbox360 too.
Great video, keep up. At "Fully auto performance" the flashhider started to rotate and tried to come off xd.
Thanks mate!
The flash hider spins in such a way that it creates a clean vortex for the BB to travel through and leads to greater accuracy. Don’t tell anyone or we’ll get in trouble 😉
@@BadaBingPictures I'm sure of that. ;)
If a magnet takes on a metal part, its not automatically steel
Have you had a chance to use the Umarex/VFC model yet? If so, how do they compare?
I miss my WE G36c, should not have sold it years ago.
aye.... i sold mine years ago too, i regret every bit of it
I own the C variant already had to buy a new factory nozzle I only put 200 rounds through it with green gas and just today in the cold a part of the nozzle broke off where it locks into the hop up chamber I'm not sure what caused it if anyone can help also does anyone know the difference between the grey nozzle and the black one some we g39s have a black one I own two they both have grey nozzles 🤔
I have just made my choice which rifle is going to be my first gbbr
Excellent 👌
Join the club!
Got my h&k 416a5 gbbr today after waiting 2 and a half months and man was it worth it zero barrel wobble and locks back 100% very pleased with it on your video you did the crono and was getting 480 isn’t 480 on full auto illegal?
Congrats. Happy new gun day!
Another solid unit feedback, thanks for letting me know. Issues are rare nowadays.
Regarding the FPS, I can’t remember that far back but if it gave me 480 then yeah probably. 🤷♂️
Rip Pete🙏
The gun is now for well known for its copy, the Army Armament R36. Out of all GBBRs from WE Army Armament copied the G36c, that's says everything about the design.
Apache mp5 would need a copy
