CHICAGO is still remain one of American top band of all time. I grew up on their music and the band are still one of my favorite groups. And they still holds a place in my heart. RIP to those who passed on, resting in God's loving arms. Their legency lives on. 😊 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🎶 🎵
with the remaining originals in chicago, kansas and foreigner, they could make a decent 4 man group. with the ticket prices, you'd think terry kath was playing with these guys .
I'm an old school Chicago girl. I got to tell you the band sounds awesome especially the horn section. I mean does anyone really know what time it is. First song my daddy taught me on the piano with color My world . I'm going to see them with Earth wind & fire . There's so many good concerts going on down here now. Set amphitheater is about 10 minutes from my house❤🎉🎉
The stand-ins are probably decent musicians, but at this point how many originals are remaining? Two or three maybe. Chicago is touring through my area in a couple of months but I couldn't pay to see this, knowing the type of band they were in the 70's.
There are 2-3 originals (depending on if Lamm starts touring again), but the level of musicianship is EXTREMELY high! Can't see them with Terry now, but that's life. I recommend going!
I knew Cetera had been gone a while but had forgotten it was 1985! They sound good but like most bands that have been around a while ( 1967 for this one) death and illness have taken its toll and of course time marches on. I always remind people of shows they’re going to such as Journey there is no Steve Perry. And Theres no Cetera or even Lamm now…
I'll always love Chicago, but truth be told, I haven't paid to see them live since 1999. Their act was getting stale, they weren't performing anything new since at that time they weren't going into the studio anymore. And now, like you said, there's only 2 or 3 originals left and at this point they're just a legacy band. I don't follow them anymore. I did somewhat enjoy their last studio album that came out a few yrs ago. The Robert Lamm songs were the best songs from the album.
@@lamarravery4094 Agreed. With Robert being gone that leave’s only Lee on Trumpet and James on Trombone. The guys who replaced the original’s have been replaced imany times now. Reminds me of the Doobie Brothers in 1980. Pat Simmons was the only connection to the original band…
Wally and the horns are really holding it together (Ramon too). Sad not to see Robert there. Not to discredit any of the other guys, but after the years of the best non-original members (IMO: Jeff, Lou, Keith, Dawayne, Brett), these guys aren't holding up for me :/ Still would give anything to see them live
Shame Lamm wasn't there. Without him the band is now 2 members away from being a cover band. Saw them at Radio City Music Hall NYC early 1990s and they rocked! Don't know which band this is.

Robert has been missing for awhile and the band isn’t saying anything about it. I think he must be sick and possibly on his way out. The man is 79 years old.
If they were using backing tracks, they wouldn't have that number of musicians on stage! Three guys call the shots (the three original members) and the others are hired hands. It's not cheap to hire that number of musicians, including one needed here (Carlos Murguia, I think) to fill in for a missing Robert Lamm. If you listen closely, you can hear that Pankow isn't as fluent as he used to be.
@@johnwoods2736 ... we were at a concert recently. The live band got off... and there were two bands playing. It's both backing tracks and live playing. The vocals are likely mostly real... but I'm betting that there's a backing track to cover that when needed.
I have never EVER heard them sound this bad. Lee totalled Colour.. Jimmy's opening was a mess.. his blends were off. I've seen 19 shows. Never one click off. Wallys drumming has improved a but they sound horrible and rumbly like in a cave. Lamm must have been horribly sick to miss this and the band is deflated. ChiKaraoke. Sad.
I have to disagree, Randy. I saw nothing wrong with this performance. However, I think they need to bring back Bill Champlin to sing "Make Me Smile"... NOT !! 😄

We had a great time 3/1/24 with my wife and son at the venetian theater 8pm show.

Yes Miss Robert Lamm very much hope he is well. Missed seeing him for last night at the Venetian residency 3/9/24
Great band
Makes me wonder about the future of 'Chicago' without 'Lamm' the band is probably at a crossroads right now .
Without Lamm, there's no remaining original vocalist, it really isn't Chicago anymore. Just a tribute band.
Lamm is touring with them this year. He wasnt feeling well.....he is also almost 80 years old, give him a break.
Pretty good little clip booger. ❤

I think they are much more than “decent” musicians

If you leave me now is probably one of their greatest songs. In 2024 the set lists don't include that song....not sure why not
It was only their first number one song, lol. Probably because Peter wrote it and they didn't like the song.
Did you actually watch the video? Or do you post misinformed comments often?
12:40- they sing,
if you leave me now

No Jimmy on Mongonucleosis?
Remove Lou.. add BILL !!!! Dayyyyyyumm. 27 yrs of funk vocal arranger and only Soul they've ever had since Terry.
Wally is a beast.

あの頃、その頃の人達の演奏で、
眼の前で聞かれれば良かったけど…。
でもね。とにかく
これは間違えなく“CHICAGO”なんだよ。
だと思う。
最低限、どちらにせよ良い音楽だと思う。
It's great music. They need a couple of great singers.
Who is the keyboard player there in Robert's usual place?
Let's just say that he's filing in for Lamm .
@@timothyturner1056 I think it's Carlos Murguia.

Where was Robert?
Yeah, where’s Robert????
Robert has been missing for awhile and the band isn’t saying anything about it. I think he must be sick and possibly on his way out. The man is 79 years old.
I can’t find anything about what’s going on with him. He’s no kid anymore for sure. Best wishes to him…
I didn't know that Robert wasn't touring anymore. Hopefully he's fine and writing some more songs for the band.
@@lamarravery4094 I have searched all over and can’t find anything about him. i.e. Not performing

A shadow of their former selves
Im sorry, this isnt Chicago, the real Chicago hasn't been around in years,
20ORIGNAL MEMBERS LEFT, where's robert?
Ridiculous. I can sing much better. Jimmy & Lee. Thank You for the music. Lets hang it up. Credibility > $
Went with some work colleagues a few years ago.. was embarrassing... At this point just retire.. please.

This show was recorded with an Iphone or something similar…..That has a lot to do with the quality of it..
these imposters are an insult to the real band. the only real member of chicago left is the trombone player. file this under fraud
