  • Liverpool's hopes for a triumphant title finish took a devastating blow as they were held to a 2-2 draw against West Ham, effectively extinguishing their chances of Premier League glory. The match not only highlighted the competitive spirit of both teams but also underscored the bitter disappointment marking Jurgen Klopp's final season at the helm.
    In a tense and fiercely contested encounter, Liverpool battled valiantly, but West Ham's resilience proved formidable. Jarrod Bowen emerged as the catalyst for West Ham's success, scoring a crucial goal and providing an assist that left Liverpool's title aspirations in ruins.
    However, the frustration didn't end on the pitch. Reports surfaced of a heated exchange between Liverpool's star player Mo Salah and manager Jurgen Klopp on the sidelines, reflecting the immense pressure and tension surrounding the team as they watched their title dreams slip away.
    As fans speculate about the fallout from the draw and the apparent discord between Salah and Klopp, questions arise about what may be happening behind the scenes. Could deeper frustrations be simmering within the Liverpool camp? What implications could this have for the team's future, especially with Klopp's impending retirement at the end of the season?
    Join us as we dissect the aftermath of this crucial draw and delve into the potential ramifications for Liverpool's title hopes and the dynamics within the club. Despite the disappointment, the Reds remain resolute in their pursuit of success, determined to salvage what remains of Klopp's illustrious tenure and end his era on a positive note.

      Bowen is a great finisher but he's very short of pace. He's like a slightly slower Kane. Kane is the best but he lacks pace, Bowen is just as slow. It would mean slowing down transition and creating goals in a different way, against defences that have time to organise. We have an ultra creative midfield that is helped by quick counter attacks, and not giving opposition midfields and defences time to organise.

    A last word on Klopp. He brought this team together in record time. No one expected this team to be in the top four this season. His will to win is unbelievable. A gift he passes on to the players. Let's hope they retain it under the new manager.

    It was an ugly public argument with klopp we are definitely done for the season I feel like it's a massive shift to the new team already even though we have games left plus I ain't gonna lie him arguing with klopp after how he has played lately pissed me off and I agree there is some behind the scenes moves in secret involving klopp and Edwards he definitely didn't want klopp to be around with him I think and the boys need a massive confidence booster with slot coming in the 4-2-3-1 is looking good and I'm loving how keen slot is to be with us

      I think with the personal we have a switch to a 4-2-3-1 will make a lot of them happy and give them a chance to play in positions they enjoy playing in. We 100% have talent. Slot is in for a long back room and behind the scenes summer. at this point it's hard to see Salah staying beyond this season.

    I've been stewing on this for a few weeks. I didn't want to say this but I have to. We create so many chances for our front three. Our midfield is ultra creative. When you create so many chances to score and don't it can only be because our front players are crap. I've watched Nunes and Diaz, and Gakpo. They are all exceptional at their jobs - apart from the important bit, goalscoring. We have players that can't finish. We have to clear out at least Gakpo and Nunes. We need strikers who are scoring one in two or one in three chances. We created 16/17 chances yesterday. Couldn't put them away. Got lucky with a pinball shot. Decision making in front of goal is terrible. We shoot when we should pass, we pass when we should shoot. We commit the unforgivable sin of shooting into legs too often. I never wanted to say these things. I hate that I had to say them. I want all our players to be great. They are, but not at converting chances into goals. I really hate being on a downer about the team.

    • @UNCONFORMEDCF
      @UNCONFORMEDCF  Před 11 dny +1

      You are 100% spot on there. I love these players and Nunez is a favorite of mine. But at the top level it’s hard to defend.

    • @Resgerr
      @Resgerr Před 11 dny +2

      If Nunez is to stay he desperately needs goal scoring lessons from Rushie! Our front 3 are poor. I'm always expecting the opposition to score first.

    • @happilyeggs4627
      @happilyeggs4627 Před 11 dny +1

      @@Resgerr The front three, I'm a bit reluctant to include Diaz, he is more an out and out winger, but certainly Gakpo and Nunes aren't currently good enough. It's a shame. They do so many good things. except score. Nunes is like grease lightning. He causes havoc in the press. I just wish he was a one in two chance scorer/ one in three chance. Even Mo is badly out of form. I've never seen him pass so badly or miss so often. We'll' get a decent price for Mo. If we can get some decent cash for Gakpo and Nunes we can go for a new line-up. Watching the youngsters play for the U21 team, they have some cool heads when it comes to finishing. I wonder if any of them could step up next season.

    Klopp is a very popular manager. He hasn't been as successful as his popularity would indicate. This is about two things. Klopp's force of personality. His will elevates the players. The other factor is we have managed to do this with mainly bargain priced players. Not that the players aren't good, they are. Klopp makes them better. Gone are the days when LFC could go out and break transfer records. In the sixties and seventies we had mainly homegrown British players. In the eighties we started bringing in foreign players. There were some great players. They weren't the top quality players from abroad. They were all that cur below. This trend has continued. It has kept the club soluble. That's a good thing, but it means we need an exceptional coach to compete at the top. The one really good thing is that we are bringing through some really good youth team players. I think in the next 5 or 6 years we will be producing really top quality youngsters, and promoting them into the first team.

    • @UNCONFORMEDCF
      @UNCONFORMEDCF  Před 12 dny +2

      This is really good insight. I’m really hopeful for a lot of our younger players coming through. I just pray they don’t fall into the abyss and we never see these kids again once slot comes in. But from what I understand he loves developing youth. So those are great signs. I look at foden Saka and Palmer as great examples of developing young talent into world class players instead of going into the market. I hope we have at least 1 or 2 of those out our batch.

    Liverpool needs a few new faces next season. A center back and a right to solve the leaking defense. Offensively they'll need to let Salah and Lucho leave and find suitable replacements for the two. The following season they can do away with Nunes if his situation doesn't change

      100% I’m hearing Summerville of leads is a big target for slot. Hopefully he brings in diononde or inacio as an additional CB and makes a splash with another attacker. Maybe Gyokores. But knowing us we’d need a very good deal for all of them for us to move ahead. It’ll be an interesting summer. Hopefully Edwards works his magic.
