পাট দিয়েই স্বপ্ন পূরণ | Prothom Alo

নিজের গয়না বিক্রিসহ মাত্র ৫০ হাজার টাকা পুঁজি নিয়ে মাঠে নেমেছিলেন ইশরাত জাহান চৌধুরী। ঠিক করেছিলেন, বিশ্বের দরবারে বাংলার সোনালি আঁশ পাটকে পরিচিত করাবেন। ইশরাত জাহান বর্তমানে তাঁর প্রতিষ্ঠান ‘তুলিকা’ থেকে ইতালি, আয়ারল্যান্ড, জার্মানি, বেলজিয়াম ও সুইডেনে ক্রেতার চাহিদা অনুযায়ী পাটের তৈরি ব্যাগসহ বিভিন্ন পণ্য পৌঁছে দিচ্ছেন। মাস শেষে সব খরচ বাদে গড়ে লাখ তিনেক টাকা হাতে থাকছে। বললেন, ‘দেশীয় পাটের অপার সম্ভাবনা আছে। আর এ পাট দিয়েই আমার স্বপ্ন পূরণ হয়েছে। গত তিন বছরে নিজস্ব একটি পরিচিতির পাশাপাশি বাংলাদেশকে, দেশের পাটকে বিশ্বের দরবারে তুলে ধরতে পারছি। সব মিলে আমি এখন বেশ ভালো আছি।’
