Jill Scott wrote the hook and she was on the original song, but they booted her off for Erykah when they released the single because Erykah was more marketable at the time. Jill wouldn't release her debut album until the following year in 2000. That's also the first time we hear Eve in her debut guest rap appearance. That album also featured Beanie Sigel's debut appearance on Adrenaline. Tariq and Beans were in a rap group together as middle schoolers in Philly.
