Those fish are Sacramento Suckers, (Catostomus occidentalis) they're indigenous to slow moving rivers, lakes, and ponds in the Sacramento watershed. They're considered a junk fish but Sacramento Suckers were a traditional food source in the diet of native Californians, particularly the Ajumawi.

Hi Taku, Where is this place? I love taking my kids to beautiful clear waters like this video, we live near Frisco and would love to try and catch stuff just for the fun of the outdoors! I’m always trying to find little gems to take them to so we can explore! 🙏🏼❤️

What's your favorite soy sauce? And is there a huge difference between the good stuff and normal stuff you find at the big box store?

@@1utube01 I hardly use soy sauce for anything other than an Umami additive in soups, etc.. so I usually just get the cheap stuff. I wasn't sure if I would notice much of a difference if I bought some premium stuff. I'm sure I would tell if I was eating sushi, but yeah I would love to know if I've been missing out this whole time!

when i was little camping with my mom (elementary, jr high 80s).....we would boil the crawfish we caught on the fire and just dip them in garlic butter.......oooooooooooooo so good. 2 trout and 8 crawfish, and 2 kids out of my single moms hair in the stream for 2 hours, after 2 hours of playing upstream scaring the fish to her....was some of the best times of my life. XD those are little ones...my mom would make me throw them back for the big ones :P why it took 2-3 hours for 8 lol.....we'd catch about 30-40...but most were too small :P
she would catch a fish or two....gut and bleed them in the stream to get the crawfish insterested...and BOOM.....4h of two boys out of your hair ;)
edit: the best crawfish trap is a big gulp cup and your hand with a sock on it..... ;)

@@Iroxinping Wow! That's awesome! I actually moved in with my mom next door to my grandparents last year to help take care of them. Unfortunately my grandmother passed away last April from Covid. Grandpa has since moved to a really nice assisted living facility and talked to us about him "becoming romantically involved" with a sweet lady across the hall. He kind of wanted to know if that was ok with us. He's about to turn 93 and she's 80. We're really happy for him.

When I was younger I discovered that raw top ramen noodles with the favor packet and lemon taste awesome. We would break up the noodles and add the flavoring, this was one of my favorite snacks. Me and my siblings would go threw boxes of this stuff. You’re video reminded me of our snack as a kid. Now at my older age I showed my kids and they absolutely love raw noddles. I guess I’m just a big old dork. This was a great vid, thanks TAKU

Ken Vo just go out and find locations for yourself. If you give away locations on the internet, they inevitably get flooded with idiots who ruin and pollute it. Has happened to many places here in Oregon.

Yes, those are Suckers. I've caught & released them for fun before on the American River. From afar they resemble carp but their bodies are longer and slimmer. It's easy to catch crayfish. Just grab them from behind.
