    I'm amazed more people aren't talking these "Wild Fighter AI" rules! Also, I'll repeat my refrain that the Soreth Kor stuff is just narrative GOLD. Seriously, people frequently ask "Where's Mordheim?" It's here! The campaign is almost like a re-do of the old "Mordheim" for Warcry.

      There’s so much going on with this game and these wild fighters are great for solo play from what I’ve tried out so far. I’d like to work on a few other additions for solo play, but there’s no need to, these rules have everything we need for sure.

    This is a great book, and the AI featured in it could be great for solo play! I’ll make a few videos for solo play soon. 👊

      Wasnt even aware the book dropped but its the Wild Fighters section that caught my eye. Looking forward to seeing your videos on this. Am really glad for your videos as its rekindled my interest in the game once again.

      Really looking forward to creating some videos around this and it would be awesome to expand and come up with some unique AI for different factions too. Great to hear the videos have helped rekindle your hobby, and Warcry is an awesome game to get immersed in. Thanks for watching!

      Yes the AI rules kept me sane during the lockdown! To speed up my solo campaign battles, I use a hybrid of this behaviour table combined with the setup rules from 2+tough's custom expansion Lonesome Road 😁

    Incredible amount of content and amazing that it's all been condensed into this book. So funny about the broken leg, that made me laugh, but I think I'm going to have to put this on the back burner, it's a bit/lot/tonnes to much for me at the moment, but even so, thanks millions for sharing Lee and much appreciated

      Thank you. That's awesome! I've got to give it more attention this year. I'm working on my own set of solo play rules for Weekend Warriors at the moment so will be revisiting the Warcry solo rules for inspiration. Videos to come on that in January.

    Thank you Lee for your clear and thorough videos on Warcry. Your work is much appreciated.
    However, I have a question. How to determine which fighters to summon by the Restless Undead with the triple ability summon minions? Three skeletons 55 points each is a bit different compared to three spirit hosts 210 points each, and I am having a hard time understanding how to decide who to summon.

    • @tabletopskirmishgames
      @tabletopskirmishgames  Před 3 lety +1

      Thank you, Joonas. Well spotted, that does seems overpowered to let D3 Spirit Hosts come into play for each triple ability! I think I would assign the Champion Runemark to the Spirit Host if my opponent agreed. Otherwise it could be incredibly difficult to beat, especially if the triple ability is used in each round. I looked through the Twist cards and the Wild Creature cards say to bring in either 200, 300 or 400 points of beasts. So adding so many points with that ability as the battle moves forward doesn’t make sense. It could be a fun option to play a kind of battle with waves of high powered undead coming at you, but during a campaign battle this would take away from fighting your opponent and you’d both end up focussing on the Spirit Hosts, especially if you summoned 3. So yeah, I would give them the Champion Runemark for the purpose of the abilities only and then keep the summoned undead to the lower point fighters (unless I wanted a tough challenge!).

      I didn’t make the solo videos in the end. I played Warcry mostly on my own and always had a great time with the game.

      @@tabletopskirmishgames Ok thx. Did you play both sides or use the solo rules from the book or the ones from 2tough?
      Thinking about playing it solo as well. But I would love to have some kind of AI like Fallout Wasteland Warefare which is considered to be the best solo tabletop skirmish game today and which has a really cool AI system.

      If you like narrative and want some new campaigns to play then I’d say get this. The Soroth Kor campaign is huge and packed with narrative and with the extra narrative battles, that takes up over a quarter of the book. Someone said it’s very much like the old Mordheim (I’ve never played it). If you play solo, there’s also a short section called Wild Fighters that has some AI mechanics which are really good. Another bonus is that all the battles, quests, challenges and campaigns are open to all factions. I’m biased because I love all the Warcry stuff 🤣 and like to keep up to date with the rules, it’s a great book and I’m glad I have it. But, if you don’t intend to play more campaigns or don’t need more battles to play, and don’t play solo, then you may not want this.
