You're implying that as if Itachi - under Kabutos control was IN control. This is a mistake in both semantics and canon.
EVERYTHING prior KOTO was done and the cause of Kabuto.
How edo-tensei works? There is a tag inside the victim that FORCES the victim to act accordingly to the one who placed the tag and the one who placed the tag is solely responsible what happens, how it happens and when it happens.
The TAG forced Itachi to activate his MS which accidentally (Kabuto didn't know ANYTHING about it) freed Itachi from Kabutos control. In 4th wall PoV we can call it a PLOT-armour.
Kabuto can't fight against Kishimoto and neither can Itachi - the difference is that Itachi has his GOD blessing. So it would be Kabuto vs. Itachi and Kishimoto ( mostly the latter )
Itachi NEVER planned the given jutsu to naruto meant to be used against him so it's beyond the statement of "biggest brain move".

Naruto wouldn’t use it. It would auto activate. Itachi already programmed the eye and what needs to be done. And so once Naruto faces Sasuke, the crow would just come out and cast Koto on Sasuke with the protect the leaf village order which Itachi programmed in Shisui’s eye. And basically no matter how harden Sasuke’s heart is, once Koto is casted on him, a new desire and will emerges in him causing Sasuke to protect and become an ally of the leaf once again instead of trying to destroy it. Sasuke on the other hand would really believe he does it on his own will without realising it’s actually koto that changes his heart and mind.

-Gave sasuke amaterasu in case madara appears in front if him.

- got reanimated, Bullied kabuto and saved shinobi alliance.

The Edo Tensei brings you back from the moment you died, Nagato died with the Rinnegan so he kept it
The same applies to Minato who died with half of Kurama inside of him so he was resurrected with it
The only exception to this rule of the Edo Tensei was Madara due to Kabuto specifically modifying his body in order for him to be at his prime and with the Rinnegan

@@Mav2208 When nagato used his chibaku tensei he was stuck and without bee and naruto he wasn't able to blast the satellite in the sky, that is why he told bee and naruto to combine their attack with him.
Amateratsu is useless on nagato, the proof is when Itachi used amateratsu on nagato, nagato used his shinra tensei to put out the fire.
@Foulane de Paname Amaterasu might be useless on Nagato but not on planetary devastation. He could just burn his way through. Also has Susano that could get him out. Itachi has so many jutsus that I just think there's no way he wouldn't be able to find a way out. Naruto just powered his way out. Itachi would do something smarter to get out.

The goal was for Naruto to defeat madara and save sasuke, Naruto could continue holding the eye with the crow, and give it to sasuke (he’s good now) so he can use it in the future to save the leaf village if ever needed (jigen)
