so i started watching this play through yesterday out of boredom and i’m already so insanely attached to the characters and sobbed like a baby over a certain someone’s death :,(( these videos are a godsend during quarantine haha!

However weird it may seem to us, it's actually fine. The age gap is not that great, Mr. Policeman is only around 25ish? And while Sara is technically 17+ it's apparently pretty common in Japan for a teen to look up to an older, more reliable man.
If we discuss mental age, it's worth mentioning that Nao is 20-21, and yet everyone groups her up with "helpless, infantile" ones, liek Kanna and Gin, while perceiving Sara as someone much more mature.
And all that is just an excuse for people who really want to create an actual romance out of this. Because the chemistry between those two is not really such; she's attracted by mystery surronding him, he feels need to protect her from demons he knows all too well, and with all that can be described as lighthearted flirting, there's not an ounce of actual sexuality there to be "worried" about.
