To most of the fans in the one piece community this arc is their least favorite due to not having the epic battles that most of them want. But for me this arc is one of my favorites, because it has some of the best writing in the entire series.
Fishman Island may be slow, but when it goes, it goes hard. You actually get to realize why the fishmen hate humans and they’re reasons for it. And it makes sense.
That’s why the blood transfusion is so powerful. Luffy isn’t seeing Jinbe as a fishman, he’s seeing him as an equal.
Fishmen island gets a lot of shit unfairly, hell even I give it some. In some regards it's unfair, and in others it's villain is Hody Jones
For real? This literally my fav arc and the least fav was Thriller bark arc
@@jungshook2398 Agree, thriller bark was also my least favorite as well. But I do understand why most one piece fan's like thriller bark more Fishman island. And that's because the comedy and the ending with zoro was so great that it covers up a mediocre villain for that arc.
The end of every arc is fking goat but mostly people have a problem with the middle of the arc.
An episode that characterizes real human drama. The prejudices, the descrimination, the indifferences, hope and glim of light is shown in this episode

the transition between the osts, the impact of this scene, it’s truly beautiful. I’m 20 years old now but watched one piece when I was 14 and this scene helped me understand so much about the world and humans. We all shed the same red blood. Oda is truly a genius.
