Two years ago, producer Sleepy Fish splashed into the lofi / instrumental music world with a trilogy of releases: 2019's My Room Becomes the Sea, 2020's Beneath Your Waves, and 2020's Everything Fades to Blue. As that trilogy came to an emotional and rewarding close, another trilogy started to take shape - the first part of which will appear this October in the form of Like the Sky, or Something Else. Full of vocal harmonies and uplifting beat progressions, it's an eleven song project both melancholic and energized. A solo LP that adds a new chapter - both musically and visually - into the world of a loving and ever-evolving artist.

"I Main Samus Now" made me cry when I first heard it. I hadn't heard a piece of music like that - something that elicited such a visceral reaction - in so long, I didn't think it would ever happen again.

I LOVE sleepyfish. Their "my room becomes the sea" never fails to chill me out and help me focus. This latest offering is delightful! Just one little thing tho... that fish would die from heat transfer, floating in the snow monkey's 100+ degree hot springs (if that's what the setting is meant to be). My first thought was, "Oh no!" when they put the fish on the pool.
No worries! Sleepy Fish is transported in a very special fish bowl protecting it from natural elements...
