Great video, after 2 year of habing my 22 Highlander I finally got it to work. Thank you! I have a tip that might be helpful, after doing some research some type C to USB cables do NOT carry the DATA wire. I suggest using a Type C to Type C with a usb adapter, or get a thunderbolt wire.

The map on the dashboard does not show any directions. The voice plays over my car speakers saying “turn onto Main Street” but visually there’s no accompanying map directions. The map screen just shows my location at that point in time 😭. 2018 Highlander LE, just bought certified PO.
How can I change the weather info displayed in my 21 Highlander Limited with the larger display. The dealer listed Plainfield Township, which is something that had to be entered some how. Thanks! PS: The 21 Highlander won us over from 5 new Hondas over the years. My last new Toyota was a 1986 Carolla GT-S I bought new while serving in the Army MP Corps in Stuttgart, Germany.
So my dad bought a Rav-4 2019 model and when i was in the car i pressed the “map” button and it said that the nav system is not available on the car, how can i put the map on the car because if it has the “map” button i guess it will be pretty logic to have the nav system available xD
@@stevenwelchtoyota Are you saying that a 2019 RAV4 Hybrid will NOT be able to display ANY maps if I don't have an iPhone ?!? I use Android phones. I just bought a used one and can't believe Toyota discontinued the (Entune) app to run the system... Am I understanding this correctly - This big screen on the dash CAN NOT be programmed to display ANY MAPS or do any Navigation - not anything? I have a GARMIN, can it somehow run it through the Dash Screen? This is crazy frustrating. Thank you for any help you can and shed light on this problem for me.

My niece also purchased same 2022 Highlander XLE and can use navigation on her head unit without connecting her phone. I told her you must have the nav option as a add on when the vehicle was first purchased and would be listed on the window sticker. I am currently using 2020 Android Auto and have entered a faulty address. My question is how do I get her to shut up and allow me to delete the address? I never have been able to close the map down without completing the drive. Can you help? TIA
The rav4 has the connected navi, Drive connect, that requires a subscription for the integrated maps. You can buy it in the app or use apple Carplay or Android auto for a map. To know more about the Drive Connect system here is a link...www.toyota.com/connected-services/driveconnect/

You definitely need a data cable to move data in a non wireless CarPlay configuration

the scout gps will do turn by turn directions without being plugged in but the map will only work while plugged in

Its meant to go to the map in android auto or apple CarPlay. You need to have your phone plugged in and enabled for CarPlay or android auto

the trial is gor dynamic navigation and it is only on certain ones with the upgraded radio
