#comedymusic #danielthrasher #reaction - Komedie
So, after I recorded this reaction, Daniel changed the name of the first video to "How rap sounds to non-English speakers" but the song itself is still called "Igowallah (ft. Hoodie Guy)" on streaming services, so that's why I kept that as the name in the title here, as well as saying it in the video.
Likewise, while the music video for the second video is called "Welcome to the After" the song itself is just called "The After". Hope this clears up any confusion.
I'm absolutely obsessed with how Igowallah is effectively a big budget shitpost. They made the gibberish unironically look and sound cool which is very impressive.
I never expected to find you specifically here. I also do agree.
What's really impressive to me is that he genuinely took the time to memorize these lyrics, even though it sounds like he's making it up on the spot.
The lyrics are in the description of the video, not translated though, but he still have to remember them instead of speaking gibberish. Pretty good.

WTF ARE YOU DOING HERE
The best part about Igowallah is it sometimes throws in normal English words like ‘wifi password’, it adds so much the entire vibe
"Paradiddle" "Austin Powers" a deez nuts joke
@@toebrother frfr
There's also some Spanish there
@@skiplet87 except it's not even grammatically correct spanish, which I assume is intentional
It's like a lot of Japanese music. They'll sometimes add English works because they rhyme or fit the cadence better. This song is literally, and figuratively what my neighbor hears all the time.
Mr Thrasher was actually kind enough to put the lyrics for Igowallah in the video's description
"Trasher" what?
@@Irish_Enderman typed it on my phone, must've autocorrected without me noticing
@@lj_aderyn I figured that was the case lol
The best part of Igowallah for me is the backup dancer's insane choreography. For a joke music video it's actually insanely high quality
The highest quality shitpost of all time.
The one bit that always gets a laugh out of me is at the very end when a woman in the audience goes "... Where's my kid?"
She's got her priorities straight for sure lol.
Igowallah is essentially a modern version of Prisencolinensinainciusol - A "Protest" song in Italy made to sound like one of the big-budget American songs that was filling the Italian charts at the time, but with no actual words in it (aside from the occasional "Allright")
Igowallah is an actual banger which is hilarious on top of it all
He was actually considerate enough to include his lyrics in the his description
10:22 that's actually a pretty nice touch. cuz the video is titled "how non-english speakers hear rap" and as an ex-non-english speaker I can confirm that I sometimes heard my native language in raps
Hey Ian, little note: Staan is actually still spelt with that extra a, just flipped. Staan has appeared in Daniel's vids before and he's a running joke that I canNOT get enough of lol
Oh nice!
"Don't be silly. I'm not Satan. I'm *Staan!"*
seeing Daniel on here is great.
Hes one of many that deserve a lot more attention.
i like your humour. daniel - almost 5M subs - reaction channel 26K
must give some credit tho, the links to the original videos are posted.
All non English speakers all over the world have listened to songs in English and liked them without understanding a single word. It's like when native English speakers love k-pop without understanding a single word. This is exactly the reason why I believe that lyrics are secondary when it comes to people liking music.
True, I'm italian and in early 2000's I used to listen a lot of american metalcore without understang anything about the lyrics, and I loved it. Now that I can actually understand what is being said I still like those songs but in kid of a "different way", it's weird to explain
@@matttake4852 I completely understand what you mean! I've studied English at a University, but even before that I loved American songs. Suddenly, the same song now feels like it has 2 souls. 😊
I've read a hypothesis somewhere: English language music puts less emphasis on the musical elements and focuses more on the lyrics, compared to other cultures, precisely because the majority of English speakers are almost never exposed to music in foreign languages, unlike what you described.
@@israellai Cool, then I guess the rest of the world just likes jamming to gibberish
My absolute favorite part about the lyrics is that there's just
The words Wifi Password
and austin powers
@@cloudysama404 and deez nuts
We *need* a reaction to "How Lin-Manuel Miranda Orders A Pizza" , also by Daniel Thrasher!
Sadly, I've already seen that one. Sorry.
@@Insaneian Sad, would've been a great one!
Awww yis. Thanks for reviewing this one. I've had that song on repeat for a while. I can only imagine how hard gibberish is to write well.
This song is on Spotify, and they have the full lyrics 😭😭😭
Never skip Daniel’s ads, otherwise known as the sketch after the sketch
When I watch them myself, sure. But I'm not giving ad-space to advertisers who haven't paid me in my own videos.
They're not just words, the full lyrics are in the description 😂😂😂😂😂
With the new video title igowallah makes more sense since a lot of the flow or musical likeness is very similar to some popular KPop or mumble rap songs.
Awesome! I kinda hoped for you to do a thing on this. Have you seen SOS aka Shiny Object Syndrome of Daniel yet?
I have!
Just wanted to let you know that the full accurate script of the lyrics for Igowallah are in the description of Daniel's video! Great video!
I remember hearing that Yesterday by Paul McCartney actually was sung with a Scrambled Eggs recipe before there were lyrics as he was developing the song.
i love the random mtv refrence in this song, like among all the nonsense giberish Daniel takes a dig at mtv by refrencing them in a song like this
The caption when I watched it, said "how rap sounds when you don't speak English"
Yeah, he changed the name of the video after he released it, I mention that in the description.
Truly a poetic experience that of Igowallah
Daniel is quite meticulous so I assume he went through these lyrics a lot! It's a masterpiece in my opinion. If you are up for it, I'd love to hear your take on TwoSetViolin's Duh Duh Duh Dum, or even Foil, Arms and Hog (an irish comedy sketch group that has a few songs) - The brexit song is very good, The vax song also and a few others. Very funny!
Staan actually appeared in another song before this one with the video titled “When you want to be an artist”, so I’m guessing you haven’t seen that one yet? I recommend that one, but even more so if you haven’t seen it yet I recommend “When you finally write a hit song but your cat is dead” by Daniel Thrasher.
I *think* I've seen the dead cat one, but ill add both to my list, thanks!
I love your reaction! I purposely looked up reactions to this video and found yours. Thanks!
Thank YOU!
Austin Powers! Lol!!
If i remember right "Igowallah" is supposed to be an idea of "english rap except you don't understand english"
A few days later after it was released, he changed the name of the video to "how rap sounds to non-English speakers". I mentioned that in the description.
@@Insaneian ah, i haven't even finished watching your reaction to welcome to the after yet, i just saw some confusion in the middle of igowallah and thought "I'm 90% sure that video was named something else when i saw it... i'mma let him know"
I paradiddle is a drum rudeament an example could be (capital letters are accented notes) R l r r or L r l l
That's what a 1 year old hears and "understands" their own language.
i would reccomend shiny object syndrom
Already saw that one! Caught that one when it dropped, as I didn't know it would be a music video!
speaking of exit interviews, the last one I had got me rehired for a job I quit and slacked my last day on.
I knew I had spotted a fellow Mythical Beast when I saw the GME shirt in the thumbnail! I got a little too excited and clicked really hard on my mouse, but…we’re still good!
We're still good! Thanks, I reacted to a Rhett and Link song in the previous video, too!
This guy's video intro was already better than some entire react channels wtf
go into the description of the MV and there are "lyrics" there (there's also some real words too lol)
I think the lyrics were written because they appear In the description
got to the gibbin part, fun fact: it sounds simmilar to to "gibbon" wich is polish slang for weed
Hey, you got to igowallah before the title change, that makes it so much funnier
So I am usually not a subscriber but I came to this video thinking it was a thumbnail or Eric from BlindWave reactions crew on youtube... I got bamboozled by a doppelganger but hey, I'm here now sooo :D
Maybe react to the contract song also by Daniel Thrasher? Love your stuff as always, keep it up!
pretty sure the person who looks confused in igowalah is the person who's "word" it is (talking about the pair around halfway through your video)
I love how igowallah has lyrics in the description...
Another video by Danielthrasher you should also watch is shiny object syndrome.
I've seen it!
[Don't mind me totally not rewatching this video] I totally get the whole lyrics thing, I've had an idea to write lyrics for a different version of a JT Music song for like a few months but I just haven't really touched on it too much [The song is I'm Kenough by the way if you haven't heard it! It's actually quite funny if you'd like to look at it :] Anyway, I'll stop my rambling now, have a wonderful day Ian ❤]
So these are the equivalent of lorem ipsum text? Or something like Prisencolinensinainciusol?
Have you seen Prisencolinensinainciusol? If not, it's amazing.
The second song...I'm getting some vibes like your Dig Dug and Delivery Boy in terms of flow and breaking things up.
I've not seen that one, no. And this seems a bit more planned than lorem ipsum, which usually has a set pattern (at least that's the impression I get of lorem ipsum). Thanks!
@@Insaneian It's 1970s Italian funk guy sounding like nonsense English. Pretty wild. Do you mind a link?
@@DJSchreffler if it'll allow you to post one here, go ahead!
@@Insaneian It keeps on not letting me post a link. Not even the last part. Going to tray again.
@@Insaneian This comes after the "watch ? v =" part:7Yj_N5_P5qI
yea it wasnt improvised, they actually wrote it .... the lyrics are in the description of the original video
Igowallah is legitimately better than 90% of the rap game today. That's not opinion, that's fact.
WHY THE F IS THIS IN MY SEARCH HISTORY WHEN I DIDN'T EVEN SEARCH FOR IT!
You're asking me? I certainly didn't put it there.
Igowallah!!!!
starts at 4:00
There's a karoake version out! With all the words! :D
6:13 lyrics are in the description lol
hoodie guy just doing normal hoodie guy things
To be completely honest, I would ask the very same question. I just need to know whether I need to forgive my ex or myself.
Next up is Shiny Object Syndrome (SOS)
Sadly, I'd already seen that one wepp before this one...
If you like this then I think you're gonna enjoy his Lin Manuel Miranda video ordering a pizza lmao
I've seen it! It's very funny.
Have you reacted to Shiny Object Syndrome?
No, and only because I watched it before reacting to his stuff.
"Eminem could never" Absolutely sent me.
He's not Stan, he's Staan. Refer to his video: "When you wanna be an artist"
nice
Hey Ian! I'm sure you've been told to check out Stupes's newest song (it's a masterpiece) but I just wanted to tell you Dan Bull's newest song "We Know" is 100% comedy music. Maybe check it out sometime!
Oh yeah, i'm looking forward to checking out that when as well! Thanks!
