“From breakups, annoying relatives to irritating acquaintances, OLD MONK has saved everyone so many times”.
Since we understand how special OLD MONK is, it is time we pay some tribute to this great Samaritan.
We a bunch of enthusiastic film makers and monk drinkers, have made a film on the theme of Friendship and Old Monk. The film acknowledges the spirit of Old Monk and how it has weaved many long lasting friendships.
The film stars ace actors Sanjay Mishra and Jeetu Shastri.
Introducing Switch Off Films' debut short film: MONK ( A tribute to the legend, OLD MONK)
My nanaji lived upto 94 years and believe me every winter he had Old Monk bottle with him. Every night 2 pegs and everything was great for him. Neither did he fall ill nor did he got cold. And i used to secretly have a small peg from his bottle whenever he was asleep and everyday he used to say " kum lag rhi hai aaj pta nhi kyu ?" Damn those good days. It's been 1 year he is gone but his last bottle of old monk is kept as it as. Not a single drop has been consumed. Old Monk will be immortal! ❣️
Keep it safe bud, his soul is inside that last bottle...

Have some old memories of an old Catholic colleague Richard Dsouza, who used to smoke I called him 'chimney' and he used to call me 'Arabaab'. He only had one Chaska... OLD MONK. We were room partners for 12 years and every Thursday / Friday was OLD MONK + COKE night in our room. One bottle, One Week, 5 punters FULL DHAMAAL! Those were the Muscat days through 20 years. Richard is dead and only his OLD MONK memories remain... Very Very spine chillingly real video...

I remember I shared this video with my friend sukhi and said once when u will be drinking alone then you would listen my voice oye akele akele . We were college frieds we spent lots of time together . Drunk a lot ,went on lots of trips on bike and car . Shared our sorrow together. Now it's almost 6 years past , we had a fight and I never called him and not recived his call as well . But when I drink alone he comes and joine me in my imagination . Hope he would also missing me in Canada
This has to be one of the very best short films that I have ever watched. This is a superb tribute to friendship, to life, to times gone by and of course, to the maker of memories - Old Monk. I have already watched it more than 6 times and I don't think I am done with it just yet. The last time I saw it, I attached the headphones - the wonderfully evocative night sounds of crickets and barking dogs were just fantastic and added an extra dimension to the movie. Sanjay Mishra is pure gold, or should I say, Old Monk neat? I salute the makers of this miniature masterpiece - if ever I get the opportunity, I will treat you all. To Old Monk, of course.

The first time I saw this short film, I burst into tears at the end because sitting across the table and smiling at me was Chetan Malvankar RIP, my old friend and yezdi riding buddy. When he faded away, he took a part of me with him. My eyes are brimming over even as I type now. Wajid Ali Shah said that only music or poetry can bring tears to a man's eyes. To that I must add, the memories of an old friend.
Who understands this short film is mature and have a great sense of content..
The moment u realize that sanjay mishra used to drink with his frnd but his frnd is no more to sit with him.. But he had an illusion or miraj that his frnd is alwys with him like that old monk bottel never changes its taste..

It's an amazing video. I just left my hometown and shifted to Mumbai for job. I miss my friends. This last scene got tears in my eyes. Ek pura flashback ho gya ek second me. Old monk is just not a drink, its an emotion.
This is the best thing for an Old Monk fan. Seen this at least the 100th time in this day. Took me on an emotional trip everytime I saw it. Hats off to the makers. Cheers guys.
I am a Wine & Spirits consultant by profession . I’ve completed my WSET level 3 and I review alcoholic beverages for a living. Old Monk comes nothing close to any of the spirits that I’ve tried over the years ... but in the end of the day ... I would say ... Old Monk is nothing about the taste... it’s nothing about the quality... it is an “emotion” ... and even now .. when i take a sip of it .. it brings back a lot of memories with my closest buddies and those being the best memories I’ve had ... it’s an Indian thing 🇮🇳 ...🙂

I am in my early 40's and this video made me think what a horrible life would be if I die last among my friends. I already lost my cousin 5 years back, with whom I use to enjoy n cherish the life experiences, just like this.
