  • Cheap mod, thats easy to install and improves the 7.3 even more, with slightly quieter idle, smoother running and better oil flow to the injectors. I think we are now down with the engine valley so now we have to assemble everything and start her up and see how she performs.

    I just did this mod on my 01 F250. I heard people say it helps it idle quieter, but holy crap I didn't think the difference would be this noticeable! It's quieter all the way up to 2k rpm and acceleration even feels more responsive. Ymmv but this was the best $50 I've ever spent on my truck!

    I put the Riff Raff FRX and HPX on my 02 when I first got it and it sounds like a different motor. Very smooth and much quieter! Love the videos dude!

    I actually left the passenger side on and removed the drivers side. Looked like it was more work to remove the tube. It honestly wasn't that bad. I just finished, so I'll have to wait and see what improvement I get.

    I accidentally over tightened and my o ring split out the side. The other video didn't emphasize at all to not over tighten these. They also didn't give the torque specs. Im kinda pissed but at least I had two extras from the plugs that I removed.

    • @FixItNick
      @FixItNick  Před 3 lety

      When I recently was cleaning and painting my valley I had to remove the HPX like to remove the turbo and noticed one o ring was sticking out a tiny bit, I think I did also over tighten a little but luckily wasn’t leaking whew!!

    Very Nice Nick, how's the idle and anything else it improved? Thanks for sharing I may do this mod on my truck as well. I watched your first video of when you got the truck, mine has well over 200,000 on it and it was in a little better shape. I paid 10,500 for mine and had to put tires on it immediately. Thanks for sharing, this video is the one that got me to subscribe. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya

      @@FixItNick That's good, even if it didn't improve it that much, I really like the idea of extra oil transferabilty between heads. Love the F350 vids you do, they give me some ideas for my own truck. I do a few F350 4wd vids on my channel, no that's not a plug for you to check me out, you're way ahead of me bro. I just like and appreciate your channel and the work you do.
      I'm working on a 99-2003 Ford F250-F350 AC Rebuild and diagnostic Series for my channel. My AC went out so I thought might as well do a series on it. Then I got this crazy idea that it's going to be pretty long. Gonna go through, How it Works, what are the parts, what they do & where are they in the truck. Then; How to test & Diagnose each part in your system and repair or replace it. The research on it is a bit much, parts research, locations, where to get them, tools, how to use the tools etc. Yeah it's going to take a month or two to do it. I usually do the whole series and then post them all at once. I hate having to wait a week for part two when I need it now, LOL. Builds like yours are the exception for sure. Well gotta go put some AC lines in, put oil in the Accumulator/Dryer, Evac it, charge it and yeah video it while doing it.
      Thanks for the vids bro. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith Noneya
