China and Russia have always had a pragmatic relationship. Not out of real friendship, because Russia has in the past stolen some of China's land. Vladivostok/Fúlādíwòsītuōkè/Hǎishēnwǎi used to be a Chinese city and up to 1920 half the population was Chinese. Russia had acquired the whole North Eastern part of China in 1858/1860. China had more or less had the overhand in North Korea, but now Putin has undercut them, bringing his 'influence' or at least trying to, down further South. Putin's actions now give North Korea more leverage to escape from the sanctions imposed on them, which even China adhered to.
May I (as a born Sydneysider) suggest you take a further interest in the history of East Asia, as it is of more direct importance to Australia than what's going on in Europe.

The EU has decided that it will put tariffs of up to 50% on Russian grains by 2025. This decision will bring the level of tariffs up to the same as those imposed on Australia for generations.

Feeling like EU imposed sanctions aren't working fast enough? There is nothing stopping any EU resident from enforcing your own sanctions against Russia, China, North Korea and Iran. When a product suddenly costs more, it might be because you are paying those sanctions as punishment for supporting these countries. Take this as your cue to check where the product was made.

The leaders or EU Countries are sinking their citizens further and further into debt with these tariffs ... the only hurt their own citizens paying more taxes (hidden as tariffs) to their government. The EU are trying so desperately to save their industries, but don't realise that if they hurt the economic survival of their own people, their industries serve no purpose because their people have no money to buy their products. The EU governments need to rethink their strategies. Get rid of the tariffs.

The EU will be vibrant with consumers.
Russian national reserves can hold one year, maybe 2 years maximum. After that economy will implode very fast. I estimate they have something about 150 billion dolars left. In the last balance they went 100 billion deficit.
They are a bit worse off than that now. Their finance mistress who has managed to pull a few miracles for the russian economy the last 2 years has been saying she is running out of levers to pull. You could be right in how long it lasts, I think we will know once they put the money printer in 'go brrrr' mode.
