- This isn't a new plane review. This is a review of a model that has been flown for 1 season ("Battle Tested"). Most reviews are about a new model and just test flown prehaps for a couple of flights, I wanted to know how well this model could hold up after one flying season. I'll say up front that this isn't a well rehearsed or thought out review but I did it on a whim in between projects.
I just loved the way you really review it. That’s the way it means to be. Gratz!!
The lightning holes on the new planes are for electric, and becoz of that they are not as strong as they use to be when they were all fuel. fully agreed, a heavier plane flies better, foam planes nowadays more like flying a kite,.lol
I agree with you
Great to see you Bob still very intrested in the finishing of your Kougar build
Great I like it 👌
Where have you been? Hope all is OK. Waiting on the Kougar build series to continue or finish. Thanks
I'm still here. I had a lot of projects to finish, just simply ran out of room. I'm trying to finish up and get the Kougsr back on the table. I need to finish the filling and sanding. I'll be showing a little bit of that. But there isn't much to say on th as t subject so I plan on combining that with the painting. Thanks for asking.
@@b6stead Good to hear. Looking forward to the Kougar build. 😊
Bob just wanted to say I enjoy your Vids. Your soak and dope series was extremely informative. Maybe because your name is Bob it might be why the next came to mind. You remind me of someone, I mean this in a good way but remember that guy on TV that painted landscapes? Bob Ross? Soft spoken and fluidly. Keep up the teaching of a dieing art!
The colors never was the same on any of my phonenix models. Enoying but they fly super great. Hope they switch to electric retract in the future.
Very good video and everything well explained. Looks a nice plane, good luck with it and thanks for sharing.
Good video with many good pointers 👍👍
I have a DLE 30 that needs a home. Do you think the 30 is enough power for scale flight based on your experience with the 35?
I believe a DLE 30 will fly it, however it may be lacking a bit in performance.
@@rcmodeltipshints9462 Thanks for the reply. Did you weigh the finished plane by chance? I've been searching the forums and can't find any posts where anyone has mentioned their finished weight.
Nice bird! I got the Spitfire recently. My Kougar is almost ready Bob. I want to see your in the air 😀
Hey Bob are you ever going to show us your Kougar painted???
Yes I'm working on it.
@@rcmodeltipshints9462 thanks Bob for your response I hope that all is well with you!
Doing fine here, all vaccinated. Winter has left a mess around the house. Got 5 planes ready to go, just waiting on the weather.
hey bob how you doing man itts been a minute
I'm doing pretty good now. All my household projects are completed for now. Time to get busy building again.🤔🙂
@@b6stead looking forward to more videos bob. im working on a world models la racer. i want to put an os 55ax on it but i dont have one but i do have a 70 4s on hand. what do you think about putting the 70 4s on the la racer.
@@scole901 A 70 fs should be fine with the right prop. The only thing to look for is the prop clearance, a three bladed prop might be in order. I'm not familiar with this model so I'm only just throwing possibility out there. Good luck with your model.
@@rcmodeltipshints9462 thanks bob happy holidays to ya
