I met Sabrina Carpenter at a meet and greet when the album came out and she asked what my favorite song was so I said emails I can’t send and she literally went “omg i’m so sorry that one is so sad” and it was the funniest thing ever she was so sweet
I love The Iron Fey series! The Iron King is the first in the series. There's 3 series within the series. The first 3 books follow Meghan Chase, the 4th book is a prequel novel about her love interest. The next 3 books is about Meghan's brother Ethan. The last 3 books is all of the characters working together to save the Fey & human worlds.
Booktubers are the best people. They are friends with each other, and care about each other. I want to be part of the group. Des sending you gifs is the sweetest. ❤❤❤
The iron king series is what got me into reading back when I was in middle school!! Forever a favorite for me. I only ever read 4 books but I know there is a spin off series that I haven’t read.
yes, the booktube corner of the internet is my faveeee. And thank you Rachel for being such a GREAT part of this community, and my life. Love you so much. You are the balsam to my anxious girliness lol. Lots of Looooveeee!
Iron king is the first book in the original series by Julie which has 4 books in it. I recommend starting with iron king. There are 2 other spin off series.
I am overdue for a reread but the Iron Fae series was one of my favourites from years ago! The main series (4 books) is just in publishing order and I read the novella collection afterward, and from what I know about The Lost Prince, it should be read after the main series :)
I loved the Iron King series! The first 4 are the best, but they are all fun. And if you haven’t read Half a Soul by Olivia Atwater it has similar vibes to Emily Wilde. Hope you enjoy!
20:13 emails i can’t send (the song) is my favorite from the album!! i think she won’t sing it not only bc it’s a sadder song but also bc it’s a very personal one (she wrote it about her dad’s affair and how that changed their relationship)
The House in the Cerulean Sea is a beautiful cozy fantasy! One of my absolute favourites! About a middle aged man who is visiting a house with 6 magical children, and its so wholesome and warm. Love you
ive been trying to finish watching this vlog for ages but ive been so busy. The iron fey was one of the first series i fell in love with it is 3 serperate series in one but you need to read them in order. first you have iron fey which is 4 books. then there is iron fey call of the forgotten (a spin-off) which is 3 books and lastly theres ironfey: Evenfall which is also 3 books. this series was finished last year so hope this helps 🥰
I wish I could find these kind of people in my life who are interested in books and being creative and artsy and just your friendship crew are so aligned ❤
One of my favorite hoodies that i got from Hello Lovely (a bookish merchandise company in the US), says "Bury Me Next to My TBR". Makes sence as i doubt i will ever finish my physical TBR in my lifetime 😂
cosy fantasy recs; The spell shop by sarah beth durst! bakers and magic by J. Penney can’t spell treason without tea by Rebecca Thorne half a soul by Olivia Atwater 💘💘💘
Hi! Correct me if I missed it but I’d love to see a scrapbook tutorial or tips and tricks! Been wanting to start one too but don’t really know where to start! Love your videos!! 🫶🏼
the iron fae series is SOOOO good, I was obsessed with it when I was like 15 and I completely forgot it existed till you showed it. I have to reread!!!
I recently just bought sticker printer paper and you just print your pictures out normally and then they’re automatically made into stickers and it’s made book journaling so much easier! 10/10 recommend
I’m in South Africa and we have the same trade paperbacks as you guys. But there are still trade copies of Crescent City being sold in my city. If u come to one of our bookstores, they literally sell all three covers lol
I can’t wait for you to read The Raven Boys! I love that series so much ☺️ For cozy fantasy books I’d recommend Howls Moving Castle by Diana Wynn Jones or Stardust by Neil Gaiman ✨
as far as i know the iron king series is only 4 books, the other ones are spin offs, novellas etc, i only read the first 4, but tbh the first 3 are the original trilogy and even if u only read those you get the full completed story basically:)
Hey Rach ❤️ lonngggg time watcher (2016 I started watching!) and have always loved your content. I feel like we went through so many life stages together like uni and even getting married (I got married to my husband Liam in 2019)! You have always been such a beautiful soul! I was wondering if you would ever talk more about your faith again? That was one of the reasons I started watching you because it was so encouraging to see another faithful Christian influencer, and just wondered if you would show more of that side again? It’s your channel girly, so you do whatever you want! Just missed hearing about it and wanted to say that you have some Christian followers who loved you sharing about that stuff! Anyway, love following you regardless! You’re such a beautiful gal ❤️
The Iron king is the first book in the Iron fae by Julie Kagawa. It is the first book set in its this world. There's a original trilogy which is The iron king, The iron daughter and the iron queen. Then there's a fourth book about the love interest for the series and also six spinoff books that are part of two different series. I'm still on book 4 (it's been years at this point lol) but I really want to get to it and finally finish it. I hope you enjoy The iron king.
I started the Iron King a few months ago but I have not finished it yet. My interest wasn't fully there, but it does have a lot of fantasy creatures within the first 100 pages.
I just finished the Lochlann Feuds Series and it was amazing! 5 star series for sure!! Would love to see you read them as well. It's such an under-rated series it makes sad that more people don't know about it
I've read the Talon Saga by Julie Kagawa and I loved it! Very YA with a tiny bit of romance. Dragons are the best part about. Please please read this 5 book series ❤️ it got me back into reading!
That’s just great, Rach 😅. Now I’m crying because I’ve never thought of Marjorie in the context of Magnolia Parks and now I’ll never be able to unsee it. I always cry whenever I hear it anyway but now I’ll be bawling 😭
Hi Rachel! I have a cozy fantasy book recommendation for you. It's called "A Wizards Guide to Defensive Baking" by T. Kingfisher. It's a YA and such a cute read! It has the cutest characters and it is a little more action packed/high stakes than your typical cozy fantasy book. It was honestly such a fun storyline to follow. Basically, our main character is a young Wizard and she gets accused of murder. We follow her journey to clearing her name and using her magical powers to make dough and baked goods fight off those trying to throw her into jail.
i just LOVE your vlogs ❤ ! Destiny thing made me cry tho that was so cute 😊 PS: is it normal that i find Catherine's 30 min vlog sooooo short ? so i just watched it again love you Besty ❤
reading iron king right now omg!! u do not have to read anything before hand, and (I think) the mini books are novellas and they should be at the end of your copy… like the first is called winters passage and it should be at the back of ur book!
I love that booktubers all over the world are friends.
it's so crazy to have besties on the other side of the world, I feel so blessed!!
